My wife and I rented a couple of their bicycles to ride some nearby trails mentioned on their site. The kid who helped us was really nice, but the bikes were covered in cobwebs, the seats couldn't be adjusted, and the handlebars were very loose. The only thing good on those bikes were the tires. We also asked about riding some of the trails and the young man said he didn't know of any trails. We made about a twenty minute ride by the lake. The pricing was good, wouldn't rent their bikes again, very unsafe. read more

Friendly service, too much upselling. I don't mind being offered a water resistant cell phone case, I definitely appreciated being able to get my dog a life jacket, don't get me wrong. But when I say I don't want a year long membership multiple times to the point of a needing to awkwardly just walk away from the conversation, you've crossed a line the line good service to pushy salesman who won't take no for an answer. Nice, clean building, attentive staff and well kept kayaks. I like that the kayaks are the type you sit in with back support (has a back). Some kayaks you sit more on top and do not have any backing. DFW Surf also has lockers to store your wallet, purses, etc., while you are on the lake. The building also has restrooms. Love the area surrounding the kayak building.. nicely groomed, clean and has seating areas and a small covered place to sit. We really enjoyed our day. Definitely will return. read more

Been a member for over a year now and my first review still stands. Outstanding club, friendly staff, great members, equipment and facilities are top notch. Availability has never been a problem. Been to several outings and upgrade classes and all were fun and enjoyable. Hopefully if Friday night fireworks returns next year to grapevine so will the fireworks paddle tour. Was hoping to start wake surf lessons this year but it will have to wait til next year. read more

My husband and I rented 2 kayaks from DFW Surf on Lake Grapevine this past Saturday morning. We easily scheduled and paid for a 2-hr time slot right on their website - it couldn't have been easier. We showed up a few minutes before our scheduled time, signed a waiver, they walked us down to grab the kayaks, and off we went! The kayaks were in great shape and we had a blast. Offered free cold bottled water when we were finished as well. We will be back for the SUP lesson for sure! read more

Their company was easy to find, right off Oak Grove, situated at the base of the parking lot next to the marina. A group of pals and I were able to rent 4 paddle boards without making any prior reservations, though if you have a larger group, I recommend calling ahead to reserve your gear. The rates were reasonable- $25/ hour for the paddle boards. You can leave your car keys in lockers that are watched by the staff at all times. Byron gave us a little tutorial, hooked us up with fanny pack life preserves, and we were on our way! The sectioned off area is bordered by the boat dock to the left, but there was plenty of space to paddle around on the right. Byron and the other boys were super nice and hospitable. They even offered us ice cold water after we came back. I highly recommend renting from them! read more

We had a super awesome time at the paddle board basics class. Our class was originally supposed to start at 9am but it was pouring down rain so they pushed it to noon. We showed up at noon but the others in the class must have decided to stay home so we got a private lesson. My boyfriend and I have never done SUP and wanted to learn before our trip to Hawaii. It was easy and a lot of fun and our instructor was really friendly and fun to talk with. I highly recommend this class and business we will definitely be back! read more
