    Goodwill on Lancaster Highway

Crowded on a Sunday as the nearby church had let out. Coincidence or not, this place was packed with bargain shoppers. And the parking lot had a decent queue for people dropping stuff off. The best deals and the widest variety of stuff in great condition in this Goodwill is clearly in the clothing area with a long rack of designer jeans, neatly hung up. Other clothing was neatly organized and priced to sell. In the furniture and home goods department, much of it looking rather beat up. A large selection of VHS cassettes and DVD disks picked over and stack haphazardly. I did happen to see a really decent looking sofa at the amazing price of $14.99. That's just nuts! A very little cleaning and it would be good as new.

Location-wise and selection-wise this location is one of the best, located just south of Ballantyne. You don't go to Goodwill because of the great service, but the service here has become, increasingly more friendly over time. It is also a little better organized than most, as well as a little cleaner. Drop off is also very visible out front for donations. My biggest problem is its incredible spike in prices over the last few years. For example, men's shirts that used run $0.99 are now $3.99. But that doesn't appear to deter shoppers as it is always bustling with customers.

Ridiculous. This store is ridiculous. I have bought several fireplace screens here in the past. I keep a spreadsheet of all my purchases, along with the costs. I typically pay 7.99 to 9.99 for a fireplace screen. Today I went in and found a screen that I wanted. It was not marked with a price. When I got to the register, they called a manager. Angie came up and took the screen to the back. She brought it out with a price tag of $19.99. I told her that I am a regular customer, which she knows, and that price is out of line for what fireplace screens cost here. This one wasn't even as nice. She looked at me and said, "yes, but you get the senior discount today." This is proof that they are marking items up on senior day. I think this is called price gouging. The other Goodwill stores, especially the Weddington Road store, are so much more pleasant. The staff actually smile at you there and act like they recognize you. More importantly, the prices are consistent and fair there.

Clothing here is always good. I love thrifting. I do like the work outfits, etc. sweaters and belts.

Like and sometimes the same items are priced differently on a daily basis. It all depends on who is doing the pricing.

There are multiple rooms and all kinds of little knickknacks and tchotchkes for everyone. Record collections, clothes, books, kitchenware and more. You will find what you are looking for here! Great value and friendly service. @azfitfoodfun

I blocked off an entire day to come here and made the trip from Charleston while visiting family,…read moreso I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. Prices were extremely high across the board, and a lot of booths had items that looked like they were straight from Amazon, Shein, or Temu but marked up significantly. That alone was frustrating, especially for a place marketed as an antique destination. The staff we encountered were also not friendly, which didn't help the experience. On top of that, there was a live band playing somewhere on the property, and the sound carried throughout the entire building. It was loud enough that everyone in our group ended up with a headache, which made it really hard to enjoy browsing. We ended up leaving early, which says a lot considering I had planned to spend the whole day there. Overall, not what I expected, and I wouldn't return.

Went on a Saturday afternoon just to look around. Well 2.5 hours later I had armfuls of "stuff"!…read more Great random things and fun! Prices are great too! Selection of items is amazing. Now the best part of my visit was checking out, the cashier was friendly and helpful, but there were 3 other ladies there, and they were fantastic! We talked about the store, the prices, the items I had found, and even dogs. All of these women made my day! Thank you! I will be coming back!!

They will scam you out of your money!…read more What I do not understand is the contradictory information I have received. You informed me that the item was donated and even identified where it was supposedly donated. However, when I contacted that organization, I was told they never received my furniture. That raises a very legitimate question: if the item was not received by the organization you identified, what actually happened to it? At this point, I am looking for transparency and documentation. If the item was donated, please provide proof of the donation, including the date and recipient. If it was not donated, then please explain where it went.Your response focuses heavily on the contract, but it does not address the discrepancy regarding the item's final disposition. As a customer, I have every right to question why the information I was given does not appear to be accurate. From my perspective, being told an item was donated to a specific place when that place states they never received it creates serious concerns. I hope you can understand why that would lead me to question whether the item was actually donated, sold, or otherwise disposed of in a manner different from what I was told. I would appreciate a factual explanation and supporting documentation rather than further personal accusations about whose fault this is.
