After having (yet another) bad experience trying to donate items at this location I decided to check Yelp reviews to see if my experiences were an isolated incident and unfortunately they're not. Agree w/several other Yelp reviews saying the customer service on the part of some of the employees here is terrible. My experiences: (1) I bring in items for donation only to find out that they are not accepting donations that particular day; (2) [To avoid a repeat of last time's issue] Call them in advance to confirm they are accepting donations & confirm donation hours (10:00am-2:00pm) then come in around noon after loading items in my car only to find out they'd stopped accepting donations early that day and got turned away BEFORE the cut off time; (3) Called in on another occasion to confirm they're accepting donations, bring my items in only to be told that they are accepting only certain items that day (i.e. household goods but not clothing--guess which type of items I had? ); (4) On yet another occasion I call to confirm they're accepting donations and when I bring my items I can't leave them because they don't have the bins to hold the donated items. They had to have known that the bins weren't there at the time I called so I don't know why they didn't say so in the beginning to warn me. (5) When I bring these issues to their attention they act like it's not a big deal me having to come back on another day / lug my items back-and-forth based on their misinformation. Unfortunately it seems like it's the same particular employee that tends to give me problems; all the others are great / very helpful. But because I don't have the time or patience to play "Russian Roulette" hoping I get one of the nice employees on a given day I'm done w/ this particular place. First off, I totally understand that the world is crazy right now and quite honestly in the grand scheme of things this is pretty minor. However, being that my entire career has been in customer service, most of which was in retail management, it just rubbed me the wrong way. Also, today was the first time I was actually able to donate to Goodwill after making several attempts over the past couple of weeks. Somehow every location I went to was either not taking donations that day, did not have the proper "safety" equipment to allow donations, and this past Sunday, one even closed right as I approached their bins after I waited in line behind several vehicles for 45 minutes. So as I write this, keep in mind that my head was already not in a great place regarding Goodwill knowing that I could have very easily just tossed the amazing amount of donations I've made this year with much less headache but wanted to do something good with the items I no longer need and try to help those less fortunate than I. Fast forward to today. I am currently suffering a pretty bad gout outbreak in my right foot which also has caused tendonitis in the same foot to flare up. I pulled up in front of this location like I have many times before to unload and a very nice Goodwill employee informed me that I cannot park there because there is no parking allowed in the Red Zone. First off, I totally understand red zone laws and yes, I should not be parked there. So, question 1. Why would you have a drop-off area in a red zone knowing people will have a car full of items most often? Question 2. Why is this the first time ever I have been told I need to move my vehicle? So, anyhow I moved my vehicle, grabbed a shopping cart, and hobbled back and forth for 5 trips with my donated items. As I am making my final approach, I notice a car sitting in the red zone, and the same employee who asked me, and others to move their vehicles is still out front. The person driving the vehicle parked in the red zone is wearing a Goodwill apron but entered the store before I actually got there. I then asked the gentleman, so why is it ok for this person to park here? He says because that is the GM's car. I said, so the GM feels it is fine to park in the red zone but does not want people making donations to? I said I was in retail management for years and I would never have made a decision like this. The client's needs should always come before the desires of store management as any business cannot survive without their customers. He just shrugged looked away and walked back into the store. As I walked back to my car the GM came out and I heard an older lady make similar remarks and heard the GM just berate her about she's the one that has to work in the store etc... This experience has sadly led me to seek out alternative places to donate and I plan to try and avoid Goodwill going forward. read more

Ijeoma and Donna are extremely rude and unprofessional. Donna had rung up a sleeveless sweater vest as a "sweater" for $9.99, even though a) it's not a sweater, it's a vest. And b) it was not in the sweater section, it was in the "womens sleeveless tops" section, along with other similar sleeveless vests and knit vests. After I reviewed the receipt I went back inside and Donna and another lady attempted to allow me to return the item so they can recharge it as the correct price which is $5.99, which I do very much appreciate. Unfortunately the system wouldn't allow them to process the return. Once Donna called over Ijeoma is when the interaction turned more sour and they actually laughed in my face about how the vest is in fact a sweater and tried to arrange another day/time for me to come back to try to return the item, which again I guess I appreciate? But what I would appreciate much more is if they just had consistency in how they operate the store and had clear lines on what type of item something is considered. If you want to incorrectly classify a knit vest as a "sweater" that's your prerogative. But that would mean EVERY knit vest should be considered a sweater and located in the correct section, not in the sleeveless womens tops section with the price of $5.99. I used to love this goodwill, but the continuously rising prices and the few extremely unpleasant staff members ruin it. read more

i love coming to this goodwill!! so many good finds and I love looking at all the variety of books that they have. Donations can be a bit complicated. It is best to call BEFORE going !! I was told that the employees need time to process the donations which is why they don't take donations every day anymore. When they do take donations, be there exactly at 11 am to make sure you get a chance to drop off your donations!! Sometime they close donations early because it gets full so fast. I probably come here once a month. sometiems I find good deals, and sometimes I find nothing. i dont know why so many reviewers are complainin about price. the stuff here isnt free but it is cheaper about the same as other goodwill stores. the only problems I have are finding sizes. but its goodwill... cant be choosey. read more

So I went to the thrift store today and had my boyfriend in the dressing room with me because I had a lot of pieces I couldn't zip up myself. We were in there for about 20 mins total because I like to make sure I REALLY like a piece before purchasing. (Mind you, there was NO ONE ELSE IN LINE! So as I'm just in undies and socks, an employee barges in and sees my naked titties. All she says is "oh my god!!! Really?" Like in an annoyed voice....like I had walked in on her. Not only did she NOT apologize or say something to make her invasion of privacy less freaking awkward and rude, I was trying to shut the door to keep whatever dignity I had left, and she then yelled at me to take the hangers off the door knob....but like this goodwill doesn't have a place to hang clothing you want or don't want..soooo??? I wouldn't care so much if she had apologized but damn!!!! Not even a "whoops". So I'm a hard core thrifter...which means I'm not leaving until I find what I'm looking for....even if some rude lady with 2007 highlights saw my naked ass. So as I'm looking through the shoes I hear her KNOCK on the dressing room door and YELL "YOU NEED TO GET OUT!!!" (Thinking it was still me) ummm yah....first of all, calm the hell down. There were maybe 5 people in the entire store. The lady who actually was in the dressing room sounded really confused and shook because she's probably wondering why an aggressive sounding goodwill employee with 2007 highlights is yelling and banging on her door. I feel every time I go to make donations the workers make an issue of it (your items need to be sorted, our cloths bins are full today come back tomorrow). The workers are extremely rude, even so much I anxiously anticipate having to drop off donations. I work full time and finding time to drive to the limited amount of places that will actually take donations is a challenge. I attempted to drop off items last Saturday at this location. Knowing the strife that they have presented in the past I scoured the website for open/close times and any information on donations. I arrived at 2:07pm. As I pull up the sign says "accepting donations until 2pm today" and of course the workers would not make any exceptions even though the donation bins were still in front of the store. No where on the website did it define donation times. They actually were extremely rude and yelling at me. I would rather donate to my stuff to bins where I don't have to interact with rude workers with no customer service skills. This is not the first time I have had problems donating items. I feel like maybe throwing the items out are a better option at this point. read more

This store had some good finds. However you have to search to find them. The store was hot and had sloppy entrance. Not very welcoming having all your donation items piled in the front blocking women's clothing. However, I was able to get an Ann Taylor dress, top, purse for around $25. My first visit was my last when I went here. My wife and I was so disappointed and couldn't find anything and anything that wasn't overpriced. This review is not based on items offered, store organization or cleanliness as I have never shopped here. It is solely based on my experience of donating items. Dropping off donations at this store is a pain in the you know what. In order to donate, you have to pull up to the front of the store and carry the items into the store and place them in a cart. There's nobody to push the carts to your car and you're not allowed to do so either. To to it off, there was an employee standing right in front of the door smoking a cigarette which was annoying as I have really bad allergies and cigarette smoke is a trigger. I'll just continue to donate my stuff to Thrift Town. It's more convenient. read more

Prices are high but I sorted through the picture frames for ten minutes and found two I wanted that were what other Goodwills charge ($4.99). Most of them were wayy overpriced ($8 and up). When I got up to the register the girl told me the ones I picked out were not correctly priced, that this one frame was supposed to be more, and she charged me more than the sticker! I was in shock, paid for it, came to my senses as I was standing there - and said I wanted a refund, I didn't want the frame for that price. She said they don't give refunds. I was literally standing at the register right in front of her the entire time, I never left the store or moved my feet! The manager Mike agreed it's their policy and refused to give me a refund. I'd been there before that time and personally witnessed this cashier/ass't manager give price deals, but only to other Hispanics. Apparently she overcharges other nationalities so she can give her 'friends' deals. I go to other Goodwills and now St Vincent De Pauls, but don't go to this one unless you've got a friend working behind the counter. read more

My experience has mostly been in donations which they are very happy to accept and they do help by carrying bags, etc into the store. As for items, I rarely find too much I like and some that I cannot afford. I always thought these kinds of stores were for the less fortunate and pricing does not reveal that. read more
