Lots of treasures/good cause/ great prices staff is very friendly/welcoming I found some wonderful items and some fantastic prices.

I recently came here for the first time. It's a great store, with lots of different things that are well organized. There was a Christmas sweater I wanted, but it didn't fit. If you're donating items, call them and ask them first. We dropped off a few boxes, they took everything except a couple of items. We parked on the street and set the parking meter. I did not see any nearby side streets that did it have parking meters. read more

This spot is very tiny, decent but aged selection. The hours are very limited, but overall the spot is as good as it can be. Everything is based on donations and I think the prices are fair. I happened to be in the area for a business meeting and my client was running late so I decided to walk over and browse at this local thrift shop. Bad idea! First of all you are followed around the store, every other minute someone is walking by pretending to tidy up the area but really to spy on you. Or maybe I was racially profiled because it seemed like the anglo elderly and mom shoppers were left alone. It is run be elderly volunteers who seem to think they own the shop! First of all most of the housewares, art and decor is way overpriced and brand name items (that are now outdated and not valuable vintage items) and doesn't matter the condition are priced up higher than what they are currently selling at Target! They base their prices off of eBay but I don't think they pay attention to the sold comps because if they did those items are worth half or less of what they are priced. And all except one of the volunteers was rude. They get annoyed with questions, make passive aggressive comments and it seems like items don't sell as they were dirty and dusty from sitting there for months. Obviously because they are overpriced which defeats the purpose of raising funds for a good cause. If you don't know how to be professional, non judgmental, kind and welcoming then please don't volunteer. It is detrimental to the nonprofit and cause. read more

This is a small volunteer run thrift store. I've gone in from time to time and have scored a beautiful vintage brown leather blazer (to die for) & vintage gold design tumblers (found out they're worth a lot!). On the 3rd Saturday items are 50% off!! So yes, items are a little more than you'd expect for a thrift store but all proceed go to a good cause. The lady who was there during my last visit was so friendly and helpful. BTW, they only take cash or checks. read more

The women who work at this store are so unfriendly and unhelpful -- it's comical. My first two shopping and donation drop offs here were pretty good. Then the next time I visited, I brought in a super nice donation (real silver flatware and new jeans), then went to check out with a flower vase that cost a few dollars. I had forgot it was cash only & was 50 cents short. When I asked if she would sell it to me for 50 cents less, she acted like I was insane went on and on about how the money is for a charity. Okay, fair enough. I then visited again, hoping the negative visit was a fluke. I walked all the way to the store with my stroller in hopes to find a xmas stocking for my son. As I soon as walked up a woman shut the door and locked it (the store wasn't supposed to close for 25 more mins). I waved through the glass and said, "do you happen to have a Christmas stocking? it's all i need!" The mean one pretended not to see me so I looked at the other woman and she looked at me like "you gotta talk to her..." So I waved at the mean woman again and asked her if she happened to have a stocking (through the glass) and she just glared at me and kept repeating, "WE'RE CLOSED. WE'RE CLOSED. WE'RE CLOSED" until I would leave. Seriously, wtf. The retired women who ran the thrift stores where I grew up were always so kind and helpful. Not sure what's going on with these people. They are very particular about donations which I find interesting since that's the whole premise of how they make money for charity.. they don't accept stuff in bags, they need everything folded and in paper bags and a whole bunch of other requirements that make it unreliable to donate stuff to.. I had lots of good quality womens clothing items from my personal closet that I ended up taking elsewhere. read more

This store is absolutely amazing! They're prices are more than reasonable and have a variety of clothing for all seasons. You can also find some toys, pins, and shoes at great prices. The employees there are very kind and attentive! When paying, the volunteers told us they're a non profit that donates all proceeds to children's hospice in san leandro. Came here recently with my family to buy a few things for some craft projects. I would love to leave a great review because they have some real gems here, but I can't help but feel like we were profiled and followed around the store. Over all the atmosphere was weird and passive aggressive. Might be back as all the proceeds go to charity but I was very uncomfortable shopping here unfortunately. Treasures is an apt name for this small volunteer outfit. they just have mostly clothes, dishes, odds & ends and just a few books, reads: -"molly ivans can't say that, can she?" (1) loose leafs: -didn't mind the parakeet s singing in the front -didn't like the kids roaming around and the mother saying: "mommy loves you", "oscar don't touch that"....etc. read more

Treasures truly is a treasure. They've been around for ten years, but it's a hidden gem in SL. I can't believe it's the first time I've been here. I called looking for something in particular and one of the staff/volunteers took their time to help me find just the right item (much nicer that Thrift Town or Goodwill). I didn't have any trouble parking and found exactly what I needed. The fact that proceeds go to the George Mark House, a nonprofit in San Leandro that serves children with life-limiting illnesses, is extra icing on the cake!! They recommend donations from 11a-2p when there are extra volunteers to help accept items. Warning - cash only!! read more

I love shopping at this thrift shop! The staff is friendly and they are all volunteers too no paid staff. They donate their time out of the goodness of their hearts. If I could find the time I would not mind volunteering. The prices are so amazing and the money goes to such a good cause. I went today and scored a vintage purse for a mere $ 4.00! And my son added to his cartoon collection for a mere $ 1.00 each. I find something to buy whenever I go. I have bought two amazing vintage bags one was made is Cuba and is either alligator or crocodile for such a reasonable price. Some pricier items they do tend to mark up given the value. But it would normally have but no where near what you would expect to pay at a vintage retail setting. In addition to my handbag obsession I have found some amazing shoes, costume jewelry, collectibles, dvds, clothing, vintage hand embroidered tablecloths, pillow cases, too numerous finds to list here! But as with all thrift shops the point here is to keep going as you may never know what you may find. It can be hit or miss. But today I scored yet again with that $ 4.00 vintage purse! But I warn you the nice shop ladies quite literally 'have my number' at the front desk when those little gems of vintage purses come in. So back off all ladies that collect vintage I have first dibs! Donated some items to The Hospice Thrift Shop in San Leandro. I always forget they're there and I've only been here a total of about 6 times over the years. Donations must be made by 2pm, I'm not sure if that includes weekends. Hopefully they can use the items I was giving. I made sure to ask on some items that they may not be able to use. The staff was nice to me, and I'll have to remember to come back especially since I live about a mile away. It's a smaller store and worth a stop if you're in the area or having breakfast across the street at The Pelton Center Cafe. read more

I live about 10 minutes from here so it's easy for me to go here usually at least once a week, to donate stuff and/or to buy stuff. Metered parking is still (in 9/2023) .25/20 minutes, but can be hard to find close by. There is usually free parking available (2 hour max) in the nearby parking lot in front of a large Safeway (read the signs about city parking rules -- you can park in most spaces in that lot for up to 2 hours, but can't "re-park" immediately once your 2 hours are up if you're planning to spend a long time in the area), and several banks in the area with ATMs so not hard to get cash if you're short on cash (and lack a checkbook) but want to buy from Treasures. I leave with something or other more than half the time when I visit. Call before you visit if you want to donate videos -- they have I think a pretty big backload of those. They also have no room to display furniture though they may have a table for sale doing duty also as a display space in the front of the store. Clothing, shoes, jewelry, art, nick nacks, glassware, china, books, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, vinyl records (even some 78's and 45's), kitchenware -- a pretty good variety for a smallish space. read more

Great place to donate and for a wonderful cause! Women were helpful and greeted me at the door to take my items. I didn't look inside, so can't comment on what they have to offer. I would call ahead of time to make sure they can accept your goods. They do request to fold the clothes and place them in brown paper bags which was fine with me. If I could give no stars, I would. I haven't been in the store yet, but probably won't now. I called to see if they were open and if I could bring in donations. The lady on the phone was very short and said they can't take more than one bag after two, which is fine. But. While I was trying to ask another question and see if I could bring more tomorrow, and how much I can bring, she said "okay bye" and hung up. In the middle of me talking! If anyone knows of a place that can take plus size clothes as well as blankets, sheets and other smaller things, please let me know. read more

A sad little store with negative old ladies running it. Much of the items are overpriced and dirty. Selling a damaged handbag for $15.00 was laughable. The birds at the front of the store were not welcoming, loud and difficult to get around with more than one person at the front of the store. I won't go back nor will I recommend this place to fellow thrifters. read more

don't donate here! was trying to help the smaller, good cause thrift store but got burned. after having called to confirm that we could drop off a bunch of stuff, we drove out of our way to only be treated very rudely. first was told they would not accept them, and then I informed them that I had called and that the lady had checked with the manager and said it was okay, the manager said she never authorized it, then that we could use a basket to take them in, but then as i was trying to get a cart, they told me they were all full, manager and workers were all rude! find somewhere else to donate! read more

They only accept cash for payment so that's the reason for the 4 star rating. The prices are reasonable and the workers are pleasant. I found some vintage Egyptian statues that are worth way more than what I paid. No junk here. Just good stuff! read more

What a cute place tucked away on a busy street. Parking is difficult, but worth it if you are there at the right time. Being a thrift shop it is a hit or miss but sometimes they have some great buys. Pretty much everyone there is a volunteer and they take their jobs seriously as they are non profit and are donating to a wonderful cause. Drop by now and then, you may just find a hidden treasure. I donate my special items to them (although its a long drive I try to save the best for them) because they are donating to a great cause. read more
