Mama Goose carries new & used shoes, baby gear like strollers and cribs, seasonal clothing, gifts, maternity clothing as well as books and toys. I love this little shop and try to stop in every time I'm in Ithaca.

Just wonderful! I am from out of town. I happened to be in the neighborhood and stopped by this…read morebook sale. Today (May 15) was the first day of the third weekend of their May sale. I can only imagine the selection at the beginning of the sale and how much stock was probably available. Even so, the selection today was remarkable. You certainly get a flavor for what all the college professors are requiring lit majors to buy by the mass quantities of certain titles. Anyhow, this sale has all kinds of books that are organized by topic and then by author. Really well run and the staff is friendly and efficient. Cash, check or card accepted. Today they marked down the prices; the most expensive book was 50 cents. The deals are wild! Masks and social distancing are enforced. There was a line outside when I arrived (5:15pm) and I waited for about 20-25 minutes to get in. It seemed to be a slower time and I'm not sure what the wait would be if it was a peak hour. If you pay $100 to become a "friend" you can have early accsss. It was well worth my time and I'm happy to support this organization!
