Used to be a big fan of Goodwill, but then things changed. I noticed it mostly in 2019 when they got a new CEO. Prices went up quite a bit. Even then, it's a little bit ridiculous. What they're charging for some items when they are all donated. Some items are priced higher than it would be to buy retail in a store even with missing parts. It seems that Goodwill has forgotten what it is to be a secondhand store. If Goodwill can't make money offering better prices for the merchandise then I would have to question their corporate to see who's getting paid too much money. read more

On Mondays where everything in a certain color tag is $1, employees remove items from shelves with that tag color on purpose. I've seen them do it many times. Today, there were 3 employees rushing to clear out all green tag books, today's $1 tag color. I've seen stickers left on items from other vendors & the goodwill sticker is 4xs the amount. A complete ripoff for people on a fixed income trying to make their money stretch. And these items were DONATED FREE. read more

What an an awful store! Not only do they price clothes at the cost of retail despite items being deeply flawed, their employees and mgmt are RUDE! Was there tonight and asked an employee where the men's jeans were. Actually, I said "excuse me" first to get her attention figuring she hadn't heard me. I said it again. Finally she looked directly at me. I said, "excuse me do you work here". She said, "I'm a volunteer". I proceeded to ask where the men's jeans were and she told me "over" there!!! I mean, I've been living in Las Vegas for nearly 2 years and the people here incredibly rude. I had stuff in my cart to buy but just left after this horrible experience. joshua is a shitty manager who isn't able to do anything to help a customer. i waited 30 min until closing to see if any customer was going to buy a office chair i had my eye on. they took the ticket so i was unable to buy it. after everyone left and the ticket wasn't turned in to purchase he stated i still could not buy the chair. not sure why since there was 0 customers in there. he was also very rude cutting me off while i was trying to tell him i can't pick it up tomorrow. he kept telling me this is company policy & laughing about it. if your a manager why not help the customer who has been patiently waiting, there was NO ONE else in the store to buy the god damn chair. After i told him to have a shitty night he threatened to ban me as a bad customer! i think he should get fired. there was no need for the laughing & disrespect over a $12 office chair. read more

#1950- Woo-hoo!!! I agree with most Yelpers that this store is three stars. It is a small location. Hubby said straight out that he didn't like this one. The discounted color tag at half off is blue. Senior discount starts at age 55. I'm not quite there. I only got to look at the womens tops, bottoms, and dresses, but much of the inventory was quite very weathered, very pill-laden, and very dated. (Maybe because there was a half off store event recently, for the past holiday weekend.) I had a fifteen minute window because it was close to dinner time. The dressing room was very busy. Every room was taken. The hallway getting to the dressing room is cluttered with big stuff. I'm petite and I felt a little claustrophobic. One lady left all her clothing over the door. I was waiting a good while until I finally got my chance at a room. I only had two sleeveless tops, both at $4.99. I was pleased when both of them fit. (I recently purchased something at a second-hand store, that I didn't try on, so that was a bust, I learned my lesson. So, yes, I am going to wait for a free dressing room in the future.) Checkout was a while since there was one cashier left, after one, who saw me, left to check out another area in the store. Two people leaving their office, one of them became the second cashier. Yay, a few minutes more later, I was done. Hubby was elated. Well, we were all getting hungry. I have been shopping second-hand for as long as I can remember, probably as a child. I like finding treasures. I also like that when we shop here, we help our Mother Earth, too. And that this store supports job training, especially assisting those with disabilities, too. read more

If I could, I'd give this store a zero I would! I was shopping there and some things were broken and missing and something didn't have prices on there so the manager had to come back up three times and the guy running the cash register accused me of trying to steal or get things for cheaper because they don't know how to put price tags on their shit will never go here again and if something does not have a price on it, they won't even sell it to you. You have to wait until they put it back in the department so someone can price it and then they will sell it which to me is BS. read more

I didn't go inside the Goodwill Southern Nevada store. I come here to drop off donations often. This recent visit I dropped off clothes (8-10 year, and baby -5yr), shoes, and some furniture. There was plenty of help at the time. The gentleman were very nice and helpful. Immediate assistance was at the car to help me unload all of the donations. The location is really easy to get to. It's right off of the 215/Durango. You can also get to this Goodwill location by going the 95/Durango, and it's a few blocks down. If you're looking to donate items, this is a really good place to donate to. Goodwill diverted over 26 million pounds of usable items from their local landfill in 2016. read more

I went to this store to donate 10 large bags of clothing, framed art, collectible dolls, glassware, home goods. The gentleman that received the items from my car literally threw my items into bins about 6-10 feet away. You could hear all the fragile collectables and glassware and glass framed art breaking. I've never seen this behavior so pronounced but I will not be returning here. read more

WOW, never thought I'd be putting a complaint in for a Goodwill, less for dropping off goods. TO. DONATE. Was not asking for service or anything... On 9/23/22, I was dropping off some children's clothes. One employee directed me to stop my car and while we were emptying it, another employee became agitated and rude because my "face was not on camera," based on where my car was parked. When I asked him to repeat himself, he became even more upset. I mean what the hell, I'm dropping off goods. For the record, I wouldn't have minded but the guy acted like an ass (the employee helping me, an Asian or Latino gentleman was great). To top things off, I called the store and asked to speak to management and was disconnected twice in the process. Oh well, I will think twice before GIVING to a store that is not gracious to receive. read more

I go to several of them frequently to see if I can find any treasures. Although I think that sometimes their prices are a little high being that most things are donated to them, I tend to shop for the items that are tagged with the discounted color tag of the day and add on another 20% off with my senior discount (55+) and sometimes I can get some really good deals. I tend to go right when they open as they seem to be busier in the afternoon and I rarely go on weekends as you can't seem to get thru the aisles with your cart. Don't ever you leave your cart unattended to look at something, I have had people literally take things out of my cart. Hey if they really needed it that badly, they can have it. I love the staff here at Durango because they have to put up with a few rude people every now and then. I always try and smile when I approach the counter (but then I remember, I'm wearing a mask and the can't see my smile) so when they ask how am I? I respond with a kind voice and let them know yes I am listening. I always end with "I appreciate you and have a wonderful day! I only wish that when they have broken or damaged items on the shelves or racks that they would discard them. Makes no sense to have them out to sell. Just a suggestion. read more

Help Please!!! Durango and Deer Springs location. Please Help. Please Share. A donation was dropped off at this store. It was some end tables and coffee table. Beautiful, hand carved from Thailand. One of a kind. The problem is this person did mot have permission to take these items let alone donate them. He basically stole them and then quickly got rid of them as not to be arrested. These items were the property of an 82 yr old man who just passed away, and had left them to his granddaughter. She is so upset. It was very sentimental to her she is heartbroken. Imagine if you were in her shoes. These were antiques as well. I love thrift store shopping and I frequently donate as well. Goodwill had raised their prices so I stopped going even though they are very close to my home. I had a SUV full of items that I was going to take to Savers in my car when I drove by and saw the " Under New Management " sign on the Goodwill. The man at the drive through location handled the donations with less care than my garbage man does. I had three boxes labeled fragile/glass and he flung into a bin and then throw objects on top of them. I had been a defender of the Agency, believing that they do good work as a nonprofit organization and have every right to set prices high if this benefits their clients in the long run. I am never returning to Goodwill and I will certainly never donating to them again. The staff at EVERY other thrift store I have ever donated to has been more respectful and thankful. I'm sad that the poor business model and poorly trained staff of the retail store affects the perception of the services provided to clients in our community. read more

I only dropped off here because I was nearby and Salvation Army was out of the way. Attendant at the drive thru donation center was rude. I pulled up and waited a few minutes for someone to come out. No one did so I started taking my items out and setting them near the bins. He then walked out and said "I wish you would've waited for me instead of setting all of this stuff in the ground. It makes more work for me" and continued a rant about being by himself, etc. Unacceptable. read more

I left there without leaving new clothes and art supplies along with other household items. Went home and angrily threw them in the trash. I'm done with people who act like asses. No more donations. I guess goodwill ran out of good will. All their register staff are a bunch of unfriendly people with bland attitudes who don't care about any customer service whatsoever so ever. The manager as well. I worked at a good will back in 2016 and they taught us to be helpful to be polite, and to maintain good customer service image of the store. We bought a heavy wooden coffee table and offered no help no dolly nothing it was on our own to carry it out. Back when I worked at good will they would specifically call me ! To bring around a dolly or even gather another employee to help take the piece of furniture to the customers car. We were also taught when a customer asks certain questions not to just say no with ur crappy attitude and to go fetch a manager. So simple and can't even do that. This store makes goodwill reputation look extremely bad but then again maybe they're just not as good as they used to be like everything else.donations got expensive and their customer service the worst there can be read more

This is for both as a donator and as a shopper. I have never had a bad experience in the drive through donation or ever waited long. However I had an exceptional experience yesterday! I came in with a donation but did not realize that some of the things I had were not safe to put out on the floor. Thank goodness they helped to take it for me to dispose because my husband was not home to help. Shopping here you can come across some good deals. So, I just run by this Goodwill location to donate what is a pretty nice couch. The people working in the donation area tell me that I can't drop off couches at that donation point, that I have to drive across the street to the hospital, and drop off the couch at a donation truck in the hospital parking lot. So I drive across the street, no donation truck to be found in the hospital parking lot. I go back a second time. He tells me there is definitely a donation truck in the centennial hills parking lot. I drive back a second time, no donation truck to be found. I finally call inside the location, and a manager says that I was misinformed. They tell me to turn back around and come back and donate the couch in the donation area that I was turned away from, and to tell the guys they need to unload it. So I do this, the guys are pretty unfriendly about it, inspecting the couch like I should be dropping off some $5,000 sofa. Anyway, I think they just didn't want to do their jobs. Definitely won't be shopping or donating to this location again. read more

This is the newest and cleanest Goodwill I have ever been to. Now open for about two weeks in the Centennial Hills area. This location has both the square footage and the inventory to keep you intrigued on the treasures you may find. I always like to look at the knick knacks, games, electronics, and toys. You never know what you might find at a place like this. "One mans trash is another's treasure". If I were you I would come here often and don't forget to donate to this local organization. read more
