I was glad to see this Goodwill open closer to me, as I tend to drop things off 5-6 times a year. And one time, I actually went inside to see what they had. The drop-off is very convenient, but not as busy as the one further south. There isn't always someone there to help give you a receipt. It's a long ramp up to the carts if you have some heavy or bulky items, but I've noticed some people leave them at the bottom of the ramp. I was actually impressed by how clean and organized it was on the inside. I didn't buy anything, but I had fun looking around. read more

Donation drop!! Coming in hot lol Drive up donation. The donation area is around the right side of the building. You will see cones on the ground, drive up right between those. You may have to wait for someone to come over to your car. I waited about a minute or so- not long at all. Someone came over and asked if I was there to make a donation. I told him yes and popped the trunk open. Handed him the couple of bags that I had for donation, and he gave me a donation slip to fill out. I was on my way in no time! Quick and easy drop-off! Great greeting walking in but terrible that they don't have a restroom for customers. I have diverticulitis and that's really a poor policy.

The perfume smell that they pump out in this store is terrible. I got an immediate headache, felt nauseous and had to leave. Please remove the smell from your store it's terrible! I couldn't even finish shopping. read more

Had to go to a hardware store next door and decided to stop in and check out the new building. It is big, clean, nice and shiny! Loved checking things out and it has a nice flow. Was hoping to find some books but none yet. Lots of home items, pictures, kitchen items, clothing and children's clothes. Very surprised to see brand new items for sale. They get two stars because I have found some great clothing items for my toddler. However, this past month I have been going consistently every week. I've noticed that the workers are pulling color of the week items off the rack and placing them in large bins and rolling them to the back. There are times where I haven't found any item with the colored tag for the week. Very frustrating and confusing as to why a store that sells donated items doesn't want to get rid of inventory quicker. read more

This store is clean but that's about it. Very over priced, lots of broken items and there are hardly any half off color of the week tags because they pull them all before you even get a chance to buy it. I have been here twice before, Customer service seems to be ok, Usually nobody at the registers have to go find someone. Today I came in and was ready to pay nobody to be found, Finally a lady came seemed in a bad mood to help me and didn't care to greet me.. I said Hello to her but she wasn't having it after she rang me up I tried to pay cash only had a $100 she said she couldn't help me because they had no change.. So I asked if any of the other cashiers could help and she said they were just clocking in.. My total was $17 I only had $13 in cash, I heard the other cashier mentioning a guys name seemed like he was in charge but was not in the store so I was pretty much told they couldn't help me! This is for all Goodwill stores...your prices are way too high compare to discounted stores like Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshals...you should not use the word thrift store because other stores like I mentioned are lower than your prices. In times like this where people are in hardship, you shouldn't gouge them. It's not fun to shop at your stores anymore. Sooner or later, people will realize that. Just wait. read more

The staff is nice and the store is about as clean as any other goodwill. But this location sells an insane amount of "trash". And by that I mean things that wouldn't sell anywhere even if they were brand-new. Like 30lbs DVD players from 2011 ,empty toolboxes, cheap ceramic figurines, coffee makers missing random pieces, and miscellaneous Dollar tree/ TJ Max type junk. Basically 9/10 "bric-a-brac", houseware, or electronic items are a total miss. As far as clothing, it's not as bad but still very underwhelming unless you're looking for forever-21 skinny jeans or thin saggy shirts from Ross. The only average quality items this place seems to sell is furniture, lamps, and shoes. If you're looking for quality items with any sort of value, you will not find them at this goodwill. I suggest visiting their online shops, where your donated items with any quality or value are sent to a warehouse and sold to the highest bidder at a hefty premium +handling +shipping. Shopping here is mentally draining, just visually trying to sort through the trash. read more

I used to shop at this Goodwill all the time, multiple times a week. The staff is horrible every time, especially the ladies that work at the front register. Their assistant manager has absolutely no clue what she's doing, you have to stand there in line for 10+ minutes while people working the register are just standing there and don't even do their jobs. I take all my donations here and spend a lot of money here, will never be doing either of those again. read more

I had a horrible experience at Goodwill in Orange, Ca tonight, treated like a common criminal. I wanted to buy a bag that didn't have a price tag on it and asked if someone could put a price on it, as other thrift stores do. Instead, it was taken from my hands, I was told "no", and it was whisked off to be put behind the cashier to where I could see it and not buy it. I felt like I was being made an example of in some weird way. It's not like I switched tags or even asked for a discount; I only wanted to pay whatever the price was. When I arrived at the counter to buy my cart full of other things (which I debated just ditching because they made me feel so bad), I asked once more if I could buy the bag. A big show was made of getting the manager so I could be told "just this once", and she showed me the price on the inside written in black marker ON THE FABRIC IN ROMAN NUMERALS. So the price WAS ON IT. They just felt they had to act like I was trying to get some discount I didn't even ask for? Grabbed it out of my hands to make an example of me? Seriously? I'm not going to shop there again. That Goodwill doesn't treat me well and I'm grossed out about it. Savers and Salvation Army will take the item to the back, put a fair price on it, and sell it instead of just snatching it away. Come to think of it, this isn't the first time something like that has happened at a Goodwill. Another time I went to pay for my uranium glass plates at the cashier, and one of the plates had the tiniest little chip in it, so the manager ran over and snatched it away. That was in Brea, Ca, next to Guitar Center. Meanwhile, tonight? There was a whole family in the Orange store gathering around different items and switching all the tags. Did anyone do anything about them? No. They went after me when I simply wanted a price on something. Im so disappointed and angry. read more

Disappointment. Now, when this store arrived, I checked it out. Hit and miss. If no tag, and you ask, they blurt a price. This would be my 4th time, so yeah, who doesn't want to look. I've also purchased items. The laughable part is when you find a new article that would be available at TJMaxx, Ross or Target normally at 9.99, and GW has it tagged for 12.99. Here's where my disappointment really is. Walked in today, around noon. Was immediately taken aback by the overwhelming air freshener being piped in. I first covered my mouth, walk around briefly within 3 minutes angrily left because I couldn't breathe. Why? Because some companies love to use ENDOCRINE Disrupters aka: Air freshener aka:Hormone disrupter in the air. It overpowered my senses, Left me nauseated and got an immediate headache, admittedly I became Karenized. Do these companies not understand that people whom have lung diseases cannot tolerate such disruptive smells? Unfortunately within the walking distance, yet will be avoided because of such a noxious smell. read more

This goodwill location is very convenient as it is close to where I live. I enjoy the staff members greeting customers when you first walk in. (I've never had that happen at a goodwill before) Every time I've gone I have always found treasures to fill my home. The store is clean, organized (the best way staff can. I have seen them trying to reorganize shelves and racks) If I find an item I'd like set aside they do so and put it behind the register. Overall for a goodwill store location and with current prices of items going up elsewhere this spot is a great location to shop! read more

I made a donation drop off and was greeted by a young man named Christian who was so helpful and polite. Later that day I realized I accidentally dropped a key in one of the boxes by accident before dropping it off. I rushed back to GW and spoke with Christian who said he remebered seeing the key when he was going through the box. He said he would look for it until he found it. I said if you find it I will pay you for your time. He said " No you don't need to do that. I will find it." About an hour later I received a call from William the manager who was so very helpful as well, letting me know that Christian had found the key. I drove back and tried to give the manager cash to give to Christian for being such a huge help to me. BTW Eduardo was so sweet and helpful as well. William said no we do not accept any cash tips. My whole experience at the taft/tustin GW was such a great one. There are still honest and helpful people out there. read more
