Better than the Fremont location. They got more stylish office attire, dresses, and mid-luxury brands for under $10. However, some polyester/viscose jackets and coats were priced over $15 for no reason. Even high-end luxury designers, such as pre-owned Louis Vuitton purses and Manolo Blahnik heels that were locked in a glass case, were sold for $60-$80, so you needed to ask an associate to open them to try them on. There were only three dressing rooms available near the shoe section, but they were dim and messy with hangers inside. Don't let it close completely after you're done because it locks from the outside. You had to find an associate to unlock them or wait for your turn for 30 minutes. Overall, it was less smelly than Fremont, spacious, and the associates were friendly at checkout. I come here for cute ladies' clothing that are priced $5-8. read more

We were wanting to try out some thrift stores in the area and decided to stop by Goodwill for the first time. In short, a lot of goods to sift through with some gems here and there but it is a gamble every time and not necessarily cheap but "cheap" in a sense. L O C A T I O N Goodwill is located off of 237 on Calaveras Blvd in the same plaza as Jang Su Jang. There's a parking lot in front that's shared by the other businesses. It wasn't hard to find parking. I N S I D E It smelled...like thrift store, if you know, you know. Everything was organized well. And I've never seen so many air purifiers in my life! Ha! They have a ton of clothing, some used, some new still with tags. Prices seemed to be hit or miss. S E R V I C E Everyone was so nice. Actually someone overheard that I potentially needed to pee, and the employee graciously said there's a restroom in the back if I needed. That's service! O V E R A L L It's a Goodwill and great for those who need to shop used or even help the environment for not always buying new. Someone else's trash can be someone else's treasure. Definitely see if you can donate instead of throw away as I'm sure Goodwill will some times take your goods. The prices were expensive, I thought im shopping for a brand new clothes. The clothes at walmart were way cheaper.

You know if you read my reviews regularly that I'm a reseller so I hit all the goodwill's and thrift stores that I can all over the bay area. The Milpitas one was really a mess. First of all the clothes are very disorganized and not well, presented second of all the prices are completely ridiculous For instance simply Vera Wang from Kohl's for $11 give me a break. It probably didn't cost that much new lol on the other hand, I scored a pair of practically brand new Rockport shoes for seven dollars. The pricing is all over the board literally the lowest price dress was 7.99 and they were very hard to find even Chinese knock off dresses were in the $10-$12 range not good. I'm not going to stop here again. read more

I've dropped off quite a few old items at this location and it's been a breeze. They are very helpful and the bins are clearly marked so you can drop off your donated items easily. If you've got things you have to part with, this is a good location to get that job done. read more

Great donation center with helpful customer service. Have been visiting this location since couple of years to donate stuff and recommend it. If you are looking to donate then their donation times are different from the store time. The donation closes at 5pm so that is one thing to note. The donation area is outside the main store so look for it to the left of the store entrance. read more

A solid 3.5/5 for this Goodwill! This Goodwill is placed in a very convenient location -- right off the freeway and in a large plaza next to a lot of food spots! I have come here a couple times before and my visit on 2/26/22 was probably the best experience! In my past visits, the selection would be very picked over, disorganized, etc. But I went on a Saturday, mid afternoon, and there was a TON of selection! Everything was sectioned off my category and size properly for the most part which made browsing so much easier and pleasant! In other thrift stores, I know they have a color system where certain colors are a certain % off, or certain days where they offer some sale. However, I dont think Goodwills in general do such a sale, at least this location doesnt. Nothing about special deals on certain color tags even though most tags were different colors! That confused me a bit, but I couldnt complain as most of the items I chose were $4-$6 each! When it comes to other items like kitchenware, I swear their selection was endless! There were so many cute sets I wouldve got if I had more space in my kitchen. The misc section was a bit messy but thats understandable. Other than that, all the aisles were fairly easy to navigate through. Had to wait a bit on a cart when I came in as there didnt seem to do many lying around. Either that, or there were just many other shoppers as well! OVERALL: I found some great finds here! My main positive from this place was the full inventory and categorized sections! Props to the staff for keeping it this way! Maybe it was just the certain day I went, but I would definitely stop by again to check out what they have! read more

This goodwill is good. The prices are reasonable but I was mostly impressed with the staff. I found some items that I really liked but they didn't have tags. Usually, you'll find staff trying to get the most out of customers but the person who priced my items was very reasonable and priced both items around $3.59! There's a huge selection of clothing; I'm sure if I had more time I would have found a bunch! But I ended up leaving with a bag full of stuff even if I couldn't look super thoroughly. Great experience! My only suggestion is to price home items cheaper, there were some items like an outdoor fire pit that was priced at like $60 which is close to what you'd pay online for it. read more

I donated 5 huge bag of clothing. I itemized what is in each bag and wanted to get 5 receipts, one per bag. In fact, I have the contents listed per bag to give him for validation. The guy didn't even look at any of it and did not want my list. He gave me just a single blank receipt saying that is all I needed for tax reporting. And they have nice bins to drop off your stuff, making it easy to categorize and drop off the items. Staff is nice and attentive. I love thrift shopping and never knowing what you will find! I believe this was my first visit to this Goodwill location in Milpitas. I went on Thursday October the 15th in the afternoon. Well I can safely say Halloween was well represented as they had plenty of costumes both new and used, wigs, makeup, and an assortment of decorations and accessories. It made me wishful for the days before Covid-19 as Halloween won't be the same this year. This store seemed pretty organized and I saw many items brand new with the tags still attached. I went to the shoe section first and I saw many Target brand A New Day flats brand new with tags for $ 5.99! They had two colors Black and Tan available for that price I bought TWO pairs! And then I spotted a gem a beautiful pair of Cole Haan patent leather kitten heels brand new! And a steal at $ 15.29 but then I realized they had a blue tag extra 20% off! Someone else posted that this Goodwill doesn't do the colored sale tags but I got my discount. I checked out the other sections to do my due diligence you have to leave no stone unturned when you are thrifting! But nothing else I had to HAVE but again spotted many items that were great bargains. My husband came in looking for lightbulbs but none to be found that day. I will say for a woman to walk out of a store with three pairs of shoes all brand new with tags and only paid $ 24.21 with tax is a great day! It's Goodwill- they take your things and they have plenty of bins outside the store. Each bin is labeled with a paper printout for Household, Electrical, Clothing, etc. If you're lucky, you can park in front of the bins as there are about 4 spots but otherwise you need to park in this busy lot. I believe the cut-off time is 5pm on the weekends and this was because of short-staff due to Covid. Luckily when my sister and I went, we were able to offload all the junk we had and they were glad to take it. Also, after donating, don't forget to take the tax form that you need to fill out for itemizing and claiming your donation for next year's tax returns. Found myself walking towards this place after doing an errand in Milpitas and made my way towards the clothing rack. I was initially looking for a white blouse for myself but could not find anything in my size. I did find a 80's retro long sleeve shirt for my daughter and IMO it passes up as Japanese fashion which is what she's into. I looked at the price which was $5+ and it was made in Korea. I also found a rose colored long sleeve blouse for myself which fit me for $5+. I went to the cashier and the Indian guy was making a joke of how cheap everything was. I tried to be pleasant but joking about the money I gave him (gave $20 but insisted I gave $10) went a little dry. Anyhoo, they had an Easter day sale of %25 discount so I got a purchase total of $9 for two clothes, including tax. Not a bad deal. read more

This could be a 1-star review because of that policy, and the cashier that was rude and not professional at all, if you can resolve a customer issue just leave it to the people in charge don't try to fix it rudely and say that I didn't have a choice, I was super nice and didn't want to make a big deal. If you search through each and every one of their shelves and racks, you can find some pretty good deals, but often times they have their items marked up to ridiculous prices. I'd suggest only shopping here on days that they have markdowns for specific sales tag colors. This is really the only way to guarantee that you are getting a fair price for second hand items. read more

I wouldn't say it's the best Goodwill in the South Bay if you're hoping to come by every day and find something new. The turn around for stocking items isn't great, so you're better off coming here at most, twice a week. Imo, the shelved aisles at this location is a lot messier than almost all others in the South Bay, I know since I've been to almost every one every week hahaha. Also, prices here are higher than most of the other Goodwills. I live down the street from this location so I'm tempted to stop by for a quick look once or twice a day. There are other locations, imo, that are better where it's obvious that shoppers are buying more frequently and employees are stocking shelves immediately. Those being Mountain View, Morgan Hill, the one in San Jose off Hamiltion and Meridian, and eventually Prospect (a hidden gem and more of an Area 51 since not too many people know about it yet). Depending on what you're looking for, you'll realize which Goodwills cater to your needs. Some have sections that offer more variety than others, e.g. the one off Hamiltion and Meridian has a larger selection of books than some of the others. Your best bet if you're binge thrifting at Goodwill here in the South Bay is to begin in central San Jose and work your way west towards the Prospect, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, and Mountain View locations. Came recently last week and I loved it. It's been a while since I've thrift and everything was color organized and pretty neat. You can definitely find some hidden gems here. I love checking out the glass section and hardware they are constantly pushing things out and have deals everyday depending on the day you go. Sometimes there's addition discount on the colored tag I would ask an associate for more details. Clothing was also organized and well done. Cleanliness is there also. Accessories are at the front and side. I bought cups, jars, and decorative glassware here and have no complaints. They are all a great deal and purchase 8+ items under $40. Customer service is great. I've never had a problem with any associate. Will come back again! read more

Bro and I came by early in the morning to drop off several bags of clothes and used pots/dishes at the donation center and people were coming out of their cars carrying load and load of bags and boxes. By 10:20 all seven bins have filled up to the rim unbelievable and there were a lot of unhappy people and the employees told them there will be another delivery pick up within half an hour to an hour. Bro and I came in the store and not too many shoppers the price of their of clothes is ridiculous you can them cheaper at Walmart from what they charged here. Unlike Savers some of the items are bit overpriced could do better at a garage sale for what they have here. They do have a color code tag which is 20% off not much of a savings, but it's better than paying a full price and every week it's a different color tag. I was here last month and they don't have much of a selection wished they had more sporting equipment and attire. I would rather go back to Hope Thrift and Savers at least they have a tremendous savings. read more

Goodwill shopping is a hit or miss. You never know what treasures you'll find at their different locations in the Silicon Valley. They have almost all items you need or are looking for. They have clothing, house wears, toys, sporting goods, shoes, furniture, books and everything in between. Sometime you find items that bring back childhood memories or you come across unique vintage items to display in your home. I come in to this location when I'm in the area dn I always find something. I headed over to this location for a donation drop off after my last trip to a nearby one had been unsuccessful. There are designated spots to the side of the front entrance for donors to easily pull in and unload their wares. I was lucky when I pulled up because an employee came out to greet me. I only had a few suitcases to drop off so he said he could take those for me. He quickly got me a donation receipt and I was ready to go in less than 5 minutes. I've been going here for the past year and was shocked to see how much they increased the price in the past month. Dresses (with significant stains or wear) are $10, simple t shirts are around $5, blouses are $6-8, jackets range from $12 to $40. It does carry a good variety, but GW receives these for free as donations, so I don't understand the significant price increase in such a short period of time. Bad customer service. I will never donate here again. I just left this location. I attempted to donate household goods worth hundreds of dollars. I figured I would donate it to a good cause. But instead got yelled at saying that they open at 10am. I was only 17 mins early. Why would you refuse a donation when I was 17 mins early. Just put it on the side and accept it. I will donate to other locations or other companies... this place is rude unprofessional... and if this locations really cared about donations they would have accepted it and said thank you. read more

I came to donate about 15 bags of clothing, books, blankets, and some household items. No one was at the donation station when I arrived; a young guy showed up about 5 or 10 minutes later. I am 69 and was using a walker. EVERY place I've donated items at before here, the guys on duty have helped carry the bags to their bins. Not this guy!!! He wouldn't lift a finger to help. I had to carry all the bags on my walker to their bins. I asked for a receipt and he said there were only electronic receipts and I'd have to scan a q code. Well that didn't work, so I left without a receipt. Not going back there!!! read more

SO Unprofessional and rude !!!!!!! I came in today with my two children went straight to the toy section it was so unorganized and messy toys all over the floor ! My children were looking but whatever they touched they put back . One of the male workers walked straight to me very angry and told me " I CAN'T HAVE All THIS MESS HERE " I said to him that we didn't do the mess it was already there when we got here ! ( keep in mind this happen like 5 minutes after walking into the store ) he kept going at me and my children Saying " WELL SOMEONE SAW YOU DOING THIS MESS THEY JUST TOLD ME YOU WERE THE ONE DOING ALL OF THIS " At that point i got angry i told him very clearly ! this was already there when we got here and whatever my kids got i put it back !! he made us feel very uncomfortable and he made my daughter crying because of the way he was speaking to me it is so unprofessional to speak to a customer that way and accusing them of doing something they didn't do without question there were a lot of kids at the store today it could of been any of them . i didn't feel comfortable to look around in the store anymore just got something for my daughter and left i didn't get the workers name or # but he is a big tall brown skin tone guy always wearing black he's always there .! The Goodwill store in Milpitas is overly priced. I bought some second hands children clothes, worn and used for the same price I saw at Walmart new clothes. Everything is minimum $4.99 for kids clothes. I stopped going there and buy brand new clothes at Walmart for the same price or just few cents more, and still refundable or exchangable. Good will is all final sales. They do not offer discount for donation or senior day either. I miss Savers in Milpitas. Discount coupons for donation and senior day on Tuesdays. read more
