This goodwill outlet bins location was actually super clean compared to others I've been to. Staff was very nice. Shoppers were under control and not pushy obnoxious like at the Fort Lauderdale location. I found a few good things for a steal including a lovevery baby play mat for my sister in law. First time here ! Very interesting ! Carts lined up against wall . Many people here looking through bins ! They bring out ten new bins from the back and after they are all lined up they yell and then you can go to bins and look ! Very hectic but can be fun! This place is a hoot!! It's definitely not for everyone or for most people in fact. You have to love thrift shopping, have patience, not mind being aggressive, and rubbing shoulders with all sorts of folks. You'll need to have an open mind. Plus no sandals are allowed so wear old clothes and closed shoes. It's an outlet center in name only. Think all the things you might find in a regular goodwill store-- except large furniture -- thrown in to rolling bins. All smushed together. The bins are in rows and you go up and down the rows digging through the piles of stuff to find what you might want. Periodically, they remove one of the rows and replace it with new bins. And everyone attacks the bins at once digging through each one for the "good stuff". There was China, housewares, toys, bric a brac, clothing, electronics, linens, shoes, etc. ,etc. In between you might find a designer purse or top. Or a collectible top or vintage vinyl record. When you're ready, you bring everything to the cashier where it's weighed. It's priced by the pound. Our entire haul was $3.33!! read more

Absolutely no control of the customers Allowing people to physically fight over items or shove someone then want to fight when they get called out for it is ridiculous. Goodwill do better. Start tossing out the egregious offenders and it will improve. But highly unlikely to happen. Shoppers beware and be ready to defend themselves. read more

Goodwill was founded in 1902 by Boston Minister, Reverend Edgar J. Helms. He took donations from wealthy Bostonians and hired people who were poor and who could fix the items. The items were then given to the people who worked on them or were resold. Goodwill's philosophy is "a hand up, not a hand out". Today Goodwill has become a $5 billion nonprofit organization that provides job training, employment, and community programs for people who have disabilities that might prevent them from getting a job on their own. This store is a Goodwill outlet store located in a strip of warehouses. I had previously visited the Ft. Lauderdale Goodwill Outlet and it was certainly an adventure. An outlet serves as a liquidation center for their thrift stores. Generally if an item fails to sell in 6 weeks it is moved to the outlet. Items are put on the floor in large blue containers and sold for $1.99 a pound (10 cents more a pound than in Ft. Lauderdale). You typically pay 75 percent less than what you would pay at a regular Goodwill store. They have all the same things you would find a regular Goodwill store including clothes, household goods, and accessories, The cheap prices attract a lot of resellers. I had a bit of a different experience since I came at the end of the day when they stopped putting out bins. I was told they stopped putting merchandise out at around 2:30. For the best selection you want to get there when they open. That is when everyone will rush for the bins. Even though they had been picked over right off the bat I spotted a girls Lily Pulitzer dress. I ended up finding a London Fog coat, a White House Black Market dress, and another dress with the tags still on it. I went to check out and that is where I learned about the policy requiring you to purchase 10 pounds of clothes 1.99 a pound x 10 = $19.90 minimum. I went back and found a couple of purses, some more tops, and a denim jacket for my daughter. By that time they were closing and I try as I might I could not make it to 10 pounds. In a bid to get rid of me the manager Jose put me with my new friend Denise who was the only other person in the store. I was able to add my clothes to hers and give her the cash. I think I could have easily gotten to 10 pounds if I hadn't been shopping the leftovers. I saw people with shopping carts piled with clothes. In the end I left with 8 pounds of name brand clothes for $15. Just make sure you check over everything really well because all sales are final. Another thing to keep in mind is you must wear closed toe shoes. I saw them kick out a lady in sandals. I didn't see any books here but that just might have been because it was the end of the day. The room was well lit and seemed cleaner than Ft. Lauderdale. It even had bathrooms. The 10 pound minimum is a pain though, hence the three stars. read more

Please heed all warnings- save your time. This place is horrible. Yelp states they close at 3:00pm. We arrived at 2:20- and not even 2 min later did they begin to harass us to leave saying "we are closed". 10 lb minimum required. Rude. Right as I walked in I was told to leave because I had flip flops on. I asked why and the response was "store rules" when I asked why I was asking why, not if they were the rules or not. I love going here because you never know what you will find. However, it is terribly run. The regular customers will push you out of the way to get what they want. The management doesn't do anything to regain control. Everyday, you will hear glass breaking as people grab stuff like they're crazy. It also takes almost an hour to check out. read more

Really weird rules that are not made available to the public until you get there (turned away at the door because I was wearing sandals in FLORIDA) and specific places you have to stand at certain times (and yelled at if you don't). The door was locked in the middle of opening hours and even when returning with shoes, the door was never opened for us. People are vicious in there and the customer service is horrible and scary. You have to buy a minimum of 10 or 11 pounds and register to shop there. Not worth the time or money. read more

Having visited other Goodwill Outlets we can not believe the practices in place there would be sanctioned by Goodwill. Dirty conditions, disorganized and stagnant merchandise, minimum purchase requirements and rules not imposed by other outlets , and imposed selectively wIll prevent this group of patrons from ever shopping there again. It's kinda hard to rate outlets, because the experience in itself lends itself to dumpster diving. What makes the experience shopping here is the fact that it's dark and people are literally attacking bins as they come out of the door. BEWARE......Some customers will actually steal things out of your covered cart. I just left today frustrated after things were stolen out of my cart including my best finds and $20 cash. I really think the management at Gulfstream Goodwill are doing a very poor job when they allow this to happen. They have cameras set up at the store but they would rather turn a blind eye to the way some regular customers act, treat and steal from other customers. This would not happen at most retail chains and especially not at a chain who claims to be helping people in the community. It is hard to fault the workers at the store as they are outnumbered 20 to 1 easily but the management is another story. read more

No organization or instruction by the staff on how they operate. Whistling and yelling at customers when they don't follow the process, they failed to inform of. Understandable that there is disorganization of product, it is a clearance center so it's expected. Walked in and watched for 15 minutes due to the reviews I saw, and most of the bad reviews are accurate. Overall a bad experience, not worth the product they offer. Huge disappointment! Employees at this Goodwill location totally lack training. The model/training that Jose, the manager, has given to the employees is to shout out at customers and treat them like low-class citizens. They scream at the customers every time a bin is coming out "EVERYBODY TO THE FRONT OF THE STORE". By the way, after employees give an order, everyone is expected to move to the front of the store no matter where they are. A bin takes about 20 minutes to be brought out. All that time, people have to stand in front of a yellow line, near the entrance. When screaming out the order "NOW", customers run as chickens without heads to get whatever they can. Some of them take stuff out of the bins and trough them to the floor. The extreme level of excitement provokes that things get broken. Customers fight, scream out, and move bins out of place, while some employees sneer maliciously, looking at them grotesquely. This is a vicious circle repeated several times during the day. How low are you willing to be treated to get a discount? This Goodwill outlet is 90% old smelly clothes. They have the policy to buy a minimum of 11 pounds $2 per clothing and $0.35 per households (any fabric is considered clothing such as old carpets) I don't understand how some customers can accept this type of treatment. Items are not free, you pay for them. To get a good deal people have to spend hours searching for and fighting for stuffs. Some people camp outside the store bringing their own food to spend the whole day there. The drop that spilled my glass was today, I got bullied by a big tall employee that yelled at me as if I had neither education nor professional preparation. I am a petite woman that got petrified. Another employee started also screaming at me in Spanish as if I didn't understand English. I was asked to leave and never come back again when I tried to record all the screaming at me. When I got to the car, I exploded in tears for frustration and helplessness of the situation. Seriously, Goodwill: Do something about this! This is simply not acceptable! Here's the scoop. You have to register at this outlet but you can do that upon checking out. It's a silly ritual and costs nothing. They take your name, address, telephone, and license #. You cannot check out without buying AT LEAST 11 pounds of merchandise. That is, you aren't leaving without spending $1.99 x 11 pounds = $21.89 plus tax. The stuff I found was nothing special. I was stuck at 9 pounds and spent an extra hour trying to find items to fill those last 3 pounds. I had to leave and told the cashier to just charge me for the 11 pounds. She said she wasn't allowed to do that. I ended paying for 3 pounds of the lady behind me's merchandise just to get out of there. I won't be in a hurry to go back to this outlet. If you decide to try it, WEAR gloves. A face mask isn't out of line either. If you have hair longer than your shoulders, bring a hair clip. This place can get very hot -- I was dripping when I left. On the plus side, the employees are nice (however slow and not very efficient), the buyers fairly civilized and they do provide restrooms. read more

This Goodwill Clearance Center used to be located at 1885 Old Okeechobee Rd, West Palm Beach, FL 33409. That location is the one that was dirty and had poor lighting. They moved to their present location at 701 Boutwell Rd, Ste B1, Lake Worth, FL 33461, in September of 2017. This new location is relatively clean, and it is well lit. When they first opened this Lake Worth location, it was great, and good deals could be found every day. But they recently changed their policy, and now they require you to buy a minimum of 11 pounds of merchandise. Most of my purchases here were DVD's and Blu Ray discs. They used to charge a dollar per disc, but now they price them by the pound. If you can find 11 pounds of discs that interest you, then you are getting a damn good deal.(comes out to approximately 50 cents per disc) So far, there was only one time that I found at least 11 pounds of discs that interested me. The vast majority of the times I went, I only found a few discs that I wanted. So now, most of my trips there are wasted because what I want does not even come close to 11 pounds. I sometimes bought electronics here, and they were a good deal until the 11 pound rule came along. Once that rule came into effect, the majority of the good deals disappeared. Once that 11 pound rule came into effect, the other regular goodwill stores became a much better choice. read more

Ok, this place isn't for everyone. It can get crazy and you can walk away with nothing after hours of searching. It's truly hit or miss. Goodwill doesn't require you register as a shopper, the city of Lake Worth requires them to do it. Got a problem with that, complain to the city of Lake Worth, NOT the Goodwill employees, they're just doing their job, don't make it any more difficult for them. I've been shopping Goodwill Clearance since I discovered it on Old Okeechobee back in 2011. Over the years I've had some pretty amazing finds including a duchess satin Vera Wang wedding gown with the sample tags(retailing for 8K, a friends daughter wore it for her wedding) still on it, a camels hair cashmere Brooks Brothers blazer for my husband, a boatload of Lilly Pulitzer, a Burberry trench coat (i wore it until it almost fell apart), Jack Roger sandals, a white embroidered 50 ft runner for my daughters wedding, a Birkin handbag-the real thing, not a copy, espresso cups and matching saucersby Tiffany, Stuben vase, a navy and cream Chanel tweed jacket, Carmen Marc Valvo cocktail dress I recently wore to a wedding, Brooks Brothers business shirts for my husband including a Brooks Brokers and a NWT Brooks Brother leather belt retailing for $800. I didn't find all this stuff in one day, obviously, it's been the result of shopping there over the years. I suggest when you go, wear yoga pants and a tank top as it will be easier to try things on, there are no dressing rooms. Wear enclosed shoes and, I know, don't scream, a Fanny pack. You want your hands free for rummaging through things. Try to grab a cart and throw stuff in it immediately to make it your own, keep an eye on it. Beware that 99% of the handbags are designer knockoff, ditto with the shoes. There are people there from many different places and cultures. I've been on the hunt lately for knick knacks to transform them for a baby shower display table. I will start by saying I did candlestick that would work perfectly for what I need at an excellent price. Now this is a clearance center and everything is in bins. People are rummaging through bins at this poorly lit industrial space. It was a sad sight, almost seemed dehumanizing. But I did see this guy with a few vintage tennis rackets that were so cool looking. I was almost jealous I didn't see it first. I didn't look into other areas other than the knick knack so I can't speak for selection but I don't think this place is worth the drive if you live far away from it. read more
