This Goodwill has plenty of parking, and the staff is nice. I do think that given its location on Hamden they do deal with a good amount of theft. Sometimes in the evening there are shady people hanging out around the store. I have found some good deals here, but this is one of those stores where you have to dig a bit to find them. As of April 2025, this store seems to have a new manager who prices items really high. I saw a new with tags toddler dress marked at $25(!!!) and new toys tagged at $12.99 when the retail label still attached says 6.99 so I've been shopping here less, but hoping that prices will normalize soon. read more

I think it would have been nice if they would have offered to help me unload the back of my SUV. I'm over sixty, I'm a small woman, it just seems like they want your stuff, but they don't want to help you Anymore! This is not the first time this has happened to me at this location. I'm thinking about going somewhere else to donate. read more

Visited a few weeks ago (9/25, I think) to find a particular kitchen gadget. The store had just what I was looking for. I also found a perfect gift for a friend. There are lots of well-organized thrift stores in the Denver Metro area, but what stood out about this was the kindness of one particular employee. I regret that I don't recall his name, but he was working the cash register that evening. He was very friendly, outgoing, shared a bit of his story of moving to the US from Ethiopia, and reminded me of one of my family members. He made what could have been an unmemorable quick thrifting stop into a very positive interaction, which I appreciated. Thank you. read more

On a real note, who doesn't make a good evening of thrifting.? one thing I can't say about the store. It is very clean and very well put together. other Goodwills that I've been in lately have had mediums where extra larges should've been abd Everything was all over the place. Size 5 shoes were in size 9 to 10 and you just couldn't find anything. Everything was just messy. This particular store has always been clean always well put together the staff is usually, quite friendly. I wasn't very impressed today. When I went to go check out I purchased two bags reusable bags that is, and there's a long line behind me and the cashier who is checking out proceeded to watch me put everything one by one in the bag there is a very long line didn't even offer to help. I asked her if she could help me, put my things in the bag to speed up the process I felt bad for the people waiting in line behind me and I'm trying to shove everything into too bags while breaking a few things I bought . oh well I was just trying to speed up the process of getting myself out of the way so they could help other10 or 12 customers people behind me. I felt really bad as well. There were many other employees standing chitchatting and nobody came up and opened another register or asked to help or anything which I thought was kind of strange. Since there was such a long line, The customer service was a little disappointing today, as I asked another employee as I was walking through the store how her day was going and she totally ignored me. No harm no foul my feelings weren't hurt. I still found things that I liked. The store is very clean and well put together, which is great for a Goodwill and I will be returning back there. at the end of all of this banter,Goodwill still is awesome. Zero stars. Standing in line. Person ahead of me checks out and leaves. Employee comes with a cart up to the register. I figure she's maybe getting a price for someone. Nope. Starts unloading all this stuff in her cart. Employee starts ringing her out, chit chatting like I was just cut in line by an employee. $74 later now she's grabbing boxes to put her stuff in. Girl checking her out leaves to go show someone where a mattress is... line has over 15 people now. Any apology? No they didn't even recognize anything was happening. the manager is rude and supervisor was on phone when she was talking to me. manager and assistant manager is very rude. this store used to be 1 of my favorites to attend but since new management I don't like going here anymore. I was doing some shopping until I notice a young lady following me. She eventually confronts me, accuses me of ripping off price tags of clothes, & attempting to steal those items. I deny her accusation & ask to speak to her manager. I expressed to not only her, but her manager as well that if I'm going to be accused of such, I deserve to be shown proof of me ripping price tags off products. I emptied out my pockets, complied, & treated both the employee & manager with nothing but respect but it was not mutual. The employee publicly (WRONGLY) accused me in-front of other customers in the store leading to one customer beginning to harass me and eventually calling the cops. The Employee looked fairly young so I assumed talking to the manager would get me somewhere but it was useless. She told me there was nothing she could do and that I had to leave the store. read more

I'm definitely not one to write bad reviews unless warranted. Love coming here to see what goodies they have. Everything was great till you get to the register. Sales rep 75643 rung me up and was not friendly at all. She asked me if I wanted a bag and I asked if they just had some paper and she just sets 2 small pieces paper on top of my stuff.... doesn't wrap it and it didn't do anything to protect my items. I realized this and said, well actually, may I steal a bag from you since this isn't going to do the job as I laughed a little. She was so rude and responded saying " you can't steal one, give me a dime and I'll give you one." I understand bags are 10 cents in some places but this woman was being so rude from start to finish. Not that goodwill really cares about their service but wow, I'd rather give my money to Salvation Army over that. Trash service. read more

Been donating a bag or 2 or 3 every day since August 7th 2021. Well, today November 19th 2021 I went to drop off 2 small bags and the worker holds it up and says this is it? Looking at it like it isn't a lot. Very rude. It's a donation I didn't have to donate anything and I've actually donated over $10,000 of items so you cant judge by size nor should they even be making comments like that ever. Might start going somewhere else to donate. Very strange and rude. read more

I like this location since it is clean, organized and convenient. Drove up to the donation drop off on the side of the building and was out of there after about 10 minutes since their were two cars ahead of me that had a whole bunch of stuff to donate. It's nice to be able to drop off items after decluttering and make sure you get a receipt so you can claim the donation deduction on your taxes. read more

We had some items to donate because my husband's mother died and there was a lot to sort through. We went to the drop off and were greeted by a staffer. He asked if the items were sorted (they were not). He helped us with the items out of the car and gave us a receipt. Easy as pie. read more

Been here a few times to drop off donations. Easy drop off and the person collecting your stuff is friendly and nice. The other day I decided to go in and take a look at the selection. Most goodwill stores are hit or miss. Some clean, others messy. This location is so Clean! The housewares area is just the a bunch of stuff, so you have to really look (but that's in all other locations also)! I was able to score on big box of new/unopened box of newborn diapers and a new in box white noise machine for babies! All for the price of what a new Wow!!! Be sure to check the areas that are locked up in the front (usually the higher end stuff), there are discounts, and you are more than likely to score on some awesome stuff. The staff is super friendly too! Can't go wrong with this location! Drop off your donations and when you have time to browse, you're likely to find an awesome deal! read more

I am a thrift store fan so I have a good time in search of deals. These guys takes pride in their store and have it decorated for Halloween ! The staff is very accommodating and friendly, especially the assistant manager. The store has items that are donated to them ...they don't buy an inventory for you so don't fault them for not having YOUR size!!! They aren't really in control of that! Go to the mall!! read more

This is one of the cleanest and most organized Goodwill stores I've ever been in. I stumbled in here on a Monday morning and they were a few other bargain hunters milling around the store. It was a quick trip for me but I love how tshirts are organized by not only size but also color and they have a HUGE selection of knick knacks and books. I hope this place stays a little secret because clean, empty and cheap are some of my favorite things. read more

They use to have blue bins inside at the front of the store for drop off convenience. Now, some of the staff take the good stuff home for themselves. I have been dropping off a few items and it never makes it to the shelf to help those who really need the donations. Not sure if management really monitors the donations or cares. read more

Goodwill Industries are, in my opinion one of the better thrift stores. They are nearly always clean and well organized and this new Goodwill store on the corner of Hampden & Monaco is no exception. It's a nice, large space with a large parking lot. The day I visited the lot was quite full but they were still in their grand opening phase so this was to be expected. The store is well lit and very clean. The aisles are wide and the store is well organized. I would not, at this time, rate this as one of the better Goodwill stores in the Denver area at this time. The stock was pretty thin and I think that is probably because with it being a brand new store the merchandise was fairly picked over. There were a lot of clothes (as always) and I also saw a pretty good selection of jewelry. The book selection was quite poor (unusual for a goodwill store) and very little in the way of toys and furniture. But since this store is only a couple of months old I will definitely give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure their stock will be replenished. Everything else is as it should be and the staff seemed quite pleasant. Also a good sign - I was in on a Saturday afternoon and I saw no unattended screaming children. Definitely a plus! read more

This Goodwill store opened in late 2011 and is still in the ''getting going'' phase. It is fairly clean, organized, and has ample parking. The inventory is just so-so based on my couple visits there. The book selection was poor, household items and decorative items are OK, and clothing is OK. They did have some decent items in the locked-up display case, so be sure to check that out. It is not as cramped as some thrift stores either, which is a big plus. read more

I donated items today and the staff was so incredibly rude. They were taking the donations and just throwing them into bins without regard to what was in the bags and boxes. I specifically mentioned I had breakables and would walk them in but they took them from me and tossed them in an empty bin and broke everything. The three males then all started laughing! I decided the rest of my items would be donated elsewhere but asked for a receipt for the items I did donate. They told me they were out of receipts. Needless to say I will never donate here again. read more

This is honestly the laziest Goodwill that I know of. The donation drop off area is the worst I've seen. You see, at most Goodwill's, someone will help you unload your car but at this one, there are a couple of overfull bins where you have to sort your own donations. I know they are people there: they are inside chatting. Then on the inside, there is always only one checker despite the long lines. Overall, I recommend going to Arc. You see a lot of people actually doing stuff inside instead of at goodwill. read more

For anyone dropping off items to the drop off center at this goodwill location be prepared to take all of your stuff out of your car without any help and into bins or you have to walk any glass items inside the building. The man that man's the door by the drop off center does not want to help you. There are other goodwill locations that will better serve you. read more

What do you expect when you walk into a used clothing/items store? We like this store because of the size but the clothing supply is not for bigger people like me. Even the XXL shirts look freakin small. Though I do like the selection for male clothes. But overall the staff sucks. Plain and simple. You can find some good stuff here if you go often and take the time to really dig through their stuff. Saturday is 50% off almost everything. This place does get crowded and the store itself is usually a mess. That's because people just throw their stuff everywhere. If you need clothes this is the place to start when going thrift store shopping. A lot of good quality name brand clothes are donated to this location. Home goods are not overly abundant but the books and DVD collection is usually worth a look. read more

I swear, they should rename Goodwill "Goodfind." I almost always find something great when I'm here! Although I've purchased many an outfit and book, by far my best find was a large, nearly new bird cage for less than $50. Sometimes the lines are long, but that's to be expected with volunteer cashiers and limited staffing. read more
