The goodwill store was fine and had plenty of parking available. When we asked for support all of the staff was helpful and they pointed us in the right direction. My great aunt had bought me a nerf gun eagle point I was supposed to get this cool adjustable sniper rifle with scope and darts and the barrel thingy it was closed with tape so we thought the past owners left without Opening it but it was missing everything the scope the darts even one of the handles!! Manager and employees were rude , disrespectful and implied that my friend and I were not able to pay for our merchandise in our carts. They stated that it was concerning how many items we had. Ridiculous bro.. everything in that store in 2.99 so a total of 20 items is still under $100. How pathetic ! Will loose my business and not recommend this location to anyone! Which really sucks because the inventory is nice but employees are shitty ... not to mention lazy af . That's not to mention that when we first got there we noticed that Joe the manager was letting two female girls around 17 fill their bags with clothes and other items along with several purses strung up their arms and assisted them out the back door through the donations . The girls then went around to the parking lot put items In their car and went back in to "shop "another round. Smh what Joe me and my friend weren't young enough for you?? Who's the real thief? Pros: This is a very busy goodwill location so inventory moves quickly. It's surrounded by some wealthy areas so there is a high chance of finding high value brands like Patagonia, The North Face, Lululemon, etc. They have a large clothing selection, including kids and baby clothes. I fairly frequently see new in packaging items like kids games and housewares. Cons: This is the most expensive Goodwill I have ever been to. The prices are consistently higher than I would expect for used stuff. Coats/jackets tend to be around 14.99 for not even high branded items. I've seen some jackets for $25-50. Storage totes run $10-15 whereas other locations tend to have the same ones for 5-10. It's been harder to find really great deals because they have been increasing the prices on seemingly everything. The stuff they keep behind the counter that you have to ask to see, has been increasing. As with most places I'm assuming they are dealing with frequent theft, but it's a little off putting and I'd rather just peruse items at my leisure. They are very weird about returns at this location. They inspect every piece of clothing, which is nerve wracking even if you've done nothing wrong. The lady in front of me returning a bunch of clothes got called out for having different plastic tags than the ones they use and they did not allow her to do the return. The plastic attachments all look the same to me but apparently theirs are unique. Parking can be iffy because it's a small parking lot and sometimes people start parking along the curb which can make it hard to back out. If you're donating, weekends get really busy and often their bins are overflowing. read more

I have donated to the Glendale Goodwill for almost forty years. This week I showed up to drop off over ten bags of clothing and some very nice China wear. The donations were just scattered all over the sidewalk for a whole block. There was one donation cart filled to the brim. Only one person was visible and he was doing nothing. I drove away without leaving anything. I would like what I'm giving to be respected and properly handled. On a side note, most times when I leave some really valuable fragile items they are just thrown into the cart where they are subsequently broken. read more

I hesitate to write this review. I think Carrie R. and I must be secret friends because I have been shopping here for years and cannot get enough. I think it is definitely an addiction-like a good drug! This has got to be the best thrift store almost anywhere! I am not just talking Denver people...I should not be divulging this information, but I too felt that my reviews would not be complete withouot something that speaks to me! I try to stop here every two weeks or so. When they have their 50 percent off deal it is incredible if you get there at the crack of dawn, but otherwise, it is more of a hassle just dealing with all of the people. (think how thrift stores get around halloween and mulitply times ten) So, more often than not, you will find great deals and cool things on off sale days...which is still reasonable! I have found so many amazing labels here and hardly worn! but please do not take those cool things I want, like my ever-expanding collection of polyester shirts, cool handbags, and candles. Also, the pyrex...I will know it is you! If i find you with these things in an aisle, I will wrestle you to the ground!! haha!! Some of the staff are really nice and have been there forever. This Goodwill turned me into a prep. All I could find was J Crew, Gap and Banana Republic which I guess is ok since I've never bought two of the three labels before and it was on the cheap. I'm usually not one for the plainess of these labels but for $4.99 a pop, I can't resist that. I went here on a Monday afternoon and apparently, everyone else in the area had the same idea to go as well. Parking is an absolutely nightmare in this place. I felt like we were going to hit one of the elderly on their way into Goodwill for this discount but luckily no blue hair collisions. They have some Halloween stuff this time of year which is nice if you're lookin to do a costume on the cheap and they have knick knacks and books galore. I'm a snob when it comes to thrift store book sections and theirs is one of the most organized sections I've ever seen-kudos Goodwill! However, be sure to check if there's a label because some of the books aren't at the set book price and that's where this charitable ones get you. The employees are a tad.....hmmm....off? The girl checking me out called for Bruce a few times within two minutes and disappointed that it wasn't Springsteen, Bruce was the only dude who knew what was going on in this joint. read more

It is safe to say this is my favorite Goodwill store in all of Denver. I like to donate goods to this location and I love to purchase furniture, clothes, and dish ware here. Like any Goodwill, different days offer different thrifting. But I have found great items here, been helped by fantastic staff and volunteers, and appreciate the ease of drop off for the items I no longer have use for. read more

From books to shoes, to pots and pans, to frames, lamps, clothes, etc., you can probably find what you are looking for at the Goodwill and at very reasonable prices! If you look hard enough, you can find really great brands and a lot of them still have the original price tag on them. My son found a great leather jacket for less than $50. I was able to find a whole collection of Winnie the Pooh books for my grand-daughter for less than $5 and they have Senior Citizen and Military Discounts. You can also sign up for their free Rewards Card and get even more specials and discounts! Make sure you also sign up to receive email updates on their sales. read more

This location used to be my favorite but as oother reviews have stated this place is filthy. They have a problem with roof leaks that don't seem to ever get fixed. The leaks are Causing BLACK MOLD to grow in the womens bathroom and over the dressing rooms. They had a bucket to catch the leak in the dressing room. The smell was horrendous!! I usually love goodwill! But this location has the WORST customer service! Being the closest location to me I tend to find myself in here and having issues every time. First, they are very overpriced compared to other locations. Second, I tried returning clothing from another location to this store (which I have done before and it is allowed everywhere else) but apparently the manager (who won't come out and speak to you, just has their poor employees running back and forth) would not allow this. Third, once I found an item not marked and they tried to tell me that it was worth way more than a reasonable deal (again words from this make believe manager). Highly recommend finding a different location to shop because other stores will make sure that you are taken care of for the FREE items that were donated to them. read more

This is definitely the worst Goodwill in Denver. The stock is dismal, no real curation at all. The facilities are dingy and uncomfortable to be in. This place needs some serious attention from the corporate Goodwill. It could do with a proper cleaning and some standards of what product they will allow to show up in there. This is absolutely one of my favorite Goodwills. Super clean, friendly staff, and I always find nice items. I would recommend two things - 1. The placement of price tags on the bottom of dishes always covers the markings (brand). So you have to peel up the tag to see the brand name. All it takes is to just place the tag to the left or right of the brand stamp. You'd have a lot of happy dish customers by doing this. 2. The new pricing of clothes with original tags on them. This is mind boggling. You now see the exact same items in Goodwill that you see in a TJMAXX - mediocre clothes that are new with tags - that are cheaper at TJMAXX on sale. In general this Goodwill charges a lot more than any of the other Goodwills for clothing and shoes. For some quality, higher-end things that's ok, but the difference between this store and others in price is stark. You might reconsider some of those higher prices. I tend to buy more clothes at the Highlands Ranch Goodwill because you get some really quality items for less money there. It just seems your prices have risen substantially and are out of place compared to the rest of the Goodwills in the area. read more

Please don't read this review. I am only writing it to complete my list. Maybe I suffer from OCD, I just can't not include my only five-star thrift store. But I would really rather keep this place all to myself. If you all go and buy all the cool stuff there'll be nothing left for me. And I am selfish when it comes to used plates that can be acquired for 50 cents a piece. Terribly selfish and rude. So I would prefer not to tell you that this store is beautiful and organized and has the hands-down biggest selection of plates and bowls and cups than any other store on the east side of town. Instead, I will focus on the negative, which is a highly confusing entrance to an always-crammed parking lot. It's really a pain to negotiate. It's almost like the Cherry Creek Whole Foods parking lot, people can get a bit competitive looking for spots, watch out. It's so scary and terrible. Really, I could almost say that you, dear reader, shouldn't go. It might be dangerous. Yes, you really ought to stay home. read more

This Goodwill is like a hidden secret. You can really score some good items here. The Target down the street brings overstock here. It is also very close to Cherry Creek, so if you dig, there are treasures to be found. I have bought many name brands. There's just something about finding a garment that has a famous label for $4.99! The book selection is what I got here for though. It's huge!! I always walk away with at least 3 books. The selection of dinner ware and kitchen gadgets is always really nice too. Granted, there is junk, but trust me, you can really walk away with some good stuff. I never seem to have very good luck at thrift stores. Honestly, I enjoy donating to them more than shopping at them. Today, however, was my lucky day. I stopped by to look for a couple of cheap paperback books to take on an upcoming beach vacation. I really wasn't expecting to find much, if anything, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I walked out with eight books (six of which have been on my reading list for a while) for a total of $6.00. The book selection is a lot larger than I expected and I saw many great titles, both in hardback and paperback. Since I was on a roll, I decided to check out the kitchenware section to see if there was anything interesting. I needed a glass pitcher but I ended up finding a Wilton Armetale bowl priced at $3.99 that matches a larger one I already own. Score! If I could have spent more time, I would have perused the clothing racks for hidden treasures. Judging by the other reviews, there are loads of high end bargains to be had, no doubt courtesy of the nice people living in the million dollar homes in nearby Hilltop, Crestmoor and Cherry Creek. I also noticed a few racks of brand new winter hats, gloves, and socks for both men and women, which I guessed was overstock from Target or some other retailer. The store is pretty big and well-organized with handy signage to direct you around to the various departments. The parking lot is kind of weird and probably too small but that's all the more reason to come during an odd hour so you can spend plenty of time bargain hunting. read more

This is my go-to store when I am looking for some sort of random kitchen item. I generally even go here before a store to purchase a new one. I am a baker and sort of hoard cake pans. I have bought brand new Wilton cake pans here for $1. They retail for more than $20. I have also found other pots and pans here. I am not much of a thrift store clothing shopper since I am somewhat plus sized. I have just never gotten into it. The used book section here is also noteworthy. I found a bunch of the Patricia Cornwell books I was missing from a series here. Let's just say, I never leave empty handed or unsatisfied. read more

My friend Toby also really digs this place - Toby hit a tree drunk driving in high school on the way to a 4H meeting but he ended up with a cool van he can drive by blowing air through a straw so it's all good! I'm not sure why people give this store good reviews.. (maybe they are the optimist types that always give good reviews). My truth is: this is my LEAST favorite thrift store. I go to a lot of them, unfortunately this one is the closest to me. I hate it. CONS: -it's pretty small so it doesn't have a ton of stuff -parking lot is some cruel joke, (park across the street if you don't want to come back to damage from a "hit and run" or some roadrage) -prices. I routinely find things here that cost MORE than new.. WTF! (last time I was there i found some snow boots that they wanted 29.99 for. saw them at target for 17!) Furniture in the 100's... it goes on and on really. -I consistently find clothes that are put in the wrong size rack. Pro's: -if you need a picture frame, they have a good selection and you can sometimes find a price you would expect from a second-hand store. -most the staff are nice, (there are some exceptions) But seriously I have NO IDEA why people are reviewing this place well. I come here mainly for the books. Their book section is large and pretty diverse.. and need I say CHEAP. They are kind of organized but if you have some time to browse you can find a few gems, and did I mention they are CHEAP!? Lovelovelove this location... Easy to browse, and they have quite a bit of home goods, furniture, books, and electronics (which are our main goals). We ended up walking out with a working iMac, a pair of Christian Louboutin's and some various dishes for right around $50. One of our best thrift trips ever... We will definitely be back. read more
