Can't Go Wrong!! Hey, Goodwill stores are the bomb!! Price-wise, you will get a better deal at Goodwill than you will at Arc. Every store is different. I liked the selection here just fine. I found a bunch of great T-shirts, and some workout shorts as well. My friend bought a fantastic wooden entertainment center for eighteen dollars. Can't beat that!! read more

Fuck this place. I refuse to support any goodwill ever again. You cannot try anything on. So when it doesn't fit you have to return it. Guess what you don't even get your money back. You only get store credit. The best part is you HAVE to go to the location it was purchased. God damn joke. They're scamming the shit out of people. I shopped at the Goodwill location on S Broadway. As I was checking out, my clerk who is at most 18, stopped to search 2 fellow employees Personal bags before they left for the day? I quipped "are you now Security"? He said "no, I'm just doing what I'm told to do". My concern is, they are putting entry level Employees into a serious role that a Member of Management should perform. What exactly do they expect the employee to do if he sees anything in their personal belongings? How would he know? What is his training in this process? What are his areas of authority to do anything if he suspects anything? This is pitting employees against employees. This is poor policy and implementation by Store Management. read more

Stopped by here on a Tuesday afternoon, this goodwill is very well stocked and had a lot of cool pieces from the 2000s and modern pieces. However, this goodwill is in dire need of some changes. First of all, the prices were ridiculous. I know that this is not an issue specific to this goodwill but is now an issue at all goodwills, but it still needs to change. I go to goodwill to get a good deal, not to spend an arm and a leg on some ratty tank top that probably cost less to begin with. Secondly, the fitting rooms were closed due to "staffing shortage" and there was only one mirror in the whole store. They do accept returns, however, only for store credit and I would prefer not to have to make a return and to know my clothes fit prior to purchasing them, especially for the high prices! even half off, most items were overpriced in my opinion. Also, they have bathrooms that look as if they are meant to be public, but they did not let my 80yr old grandmother use the bathroom, causing us to have to leave early. I know there are a lot of addicts in the area, but that's not really an excuse to lack basic amenities. Furthermore, the racks were overstuffed and things were not in their correct size sections. In total, this goodwill has a lot of potential, but is in serious need of some major improvements. read more

Wow, what a store! It's huge, really clean (none of that thrift store "old lady" smell when you walk through the door), the clothing is meticulously organized according to size and color, and the prices are amazing. I walked out with a pair of brand new Banana Republic pants for $5, a $3 teapot to add to my dorky collection, and two almost new paperbacks for 99c a piece. Oh, and If you're into kitschy 70s lamps and glass/tableware, this place is definitely worth a visit. I saw a lady leave with a couple of solid wood night stands for $9 a pop, and another guy snapped up a 10 speed mountain bike for $25. Amazing! I'll be a regular here for sure. Update 2.8.09: This Goodwill absolutely rocks! Today I paid $5 each for 2 brand new shirts (Nautica and Banana Republic), an almost new shirt (Tommy Hilfiger), a brand new hoodie (Old Navy), and $7 for a pair of barely worn Eddie Bauer jeans. I'm absolutely no label whore, but who can say no to that? I honestly do not not know how a thrift store could be any better (well, for people like me, anyway)! read more

So I am very guilty of thinking all Goodwills are made the same. In this store's case, that is definitely not true!!! I was bored and fiending to thrift, so I checked my handy-dandy Yelp app for a thrift store nearby. I was a bit skeptical that I was headed to a Goodwill, but I decided to give it a shot. (Most Goodwill stores in Sacramento, CA are disheveled, disorganized and expensive!) This Goodwill is clean and pretty well organized. Men's and women's items are separated and there are sections for home items. And a successful shopping trip it was indeed! I hit the shoe jackpot! I wear size 11 and they had all sorts of adorable flats, boots and sandals! (i.e: If you have feet size 9 and up, check out the shoes here!) I also found a lovely vintage hat and beautiful dress. This Goodwill also has a really cool colored tag system. They pick a color of the day and that tag is 50% off! They also have some pretty sweet sales on the weekends, so keep your eyes peeled. I was recently in the Denver area and love to check out goodwill stores in different cities. I had a few hours and found this gem of a goodwill just off Broadway. Definitely not the busiest of goodwills but it should be! Lots of hidden goodies all around the store, it didn't seem to be "picked through" too much. Per usual I wanted to get way more than I could, especially being from out of town. I was looking for a few things and wanted some help and luckily I found the sweetest employee to help me. I could tell she was working hard and compared to the rest of the staff ( all kinda looking lost or in their phones) I presumed she was most competent to nelp. In addition to helping me far beyond my needs, we had a nice chat. I asked about her job and she was extremely versed in Everything Goodwill, that's for sure. Smart young lady with a witty and unique sense of humor, I thought for sure she ran the place. No she didn't but was very humble about her work ethic and said she "was just doing her job". Someone should promote this young lady! She's not being used to her full potential! The rest of the staff should follow her lead. Wonderful experience, special thank you to Molly. I think that was her name. Side note : the outside area, maybe where things are dropped off, needs help. Little fella was out there working hard, with a massive amount of stuff piling up while plenty of folks that could have helped were not doing a thing. If they had a few Mollys and couple little fellas this store could be bustling. read more

Very disappointing experience. The manager Quinn was not only rude but less than helpful. I was interested in purchasing 2 vintage chairs that had "hold" tags on them. The tags were for a 24 hour hold, and we arrived 24 hours after that hold expired. He refused to let them off hold even though the other employees said the policy was 24 hours. When I asked to leave my contact if the lady didn't show up (he was going to make me come back at 5 and just hope they were there), he rolled his eyes, shook his head, and was annoyed to help a customer. Follow company policy. Follow your own policies as a manager, so you don't have disappointed customers. Shout out to Toni for being amazing. Someone make her manager, she's knows what's up. read more

The re-organization of the store this year has been very helpful and noticeable! The staff is mostly friendly and helpful. Drop off donations are easy just don't get stuck behind someone unloading in the parking lot because its hard to squeeze around parked vehicles. The parking can get tricky with the alley and Broadway right there but in general the interior of the store has great options. read more

This Goodwill ROCKS. It absolutely blows my mind how some Goodwills can be so awesome, and others can be so craptastic. This one fits squarely into the "awesome" category, with fair prices, a clean, not-smelly, store, and lots of stuff that's actually brand new! No lie. This Goodwill must have some sort of deal going with Target, because there were racks of clothes and shoes still sporting original Xhileration and Mossimo tags. That's cool. Unlike the Baker district store, the clothes here are reasonably priced and not super picked-over. I scored a vintage 1960s/70s linen sheath dress with big brown buttons down the side... for $4.99! Another $4.99 got me a pair of brand-new Nurture sandals (originally $79, I checked). They're too big for my little dogs, but I've got a friend who just happens to be a 7.5... so I couldn't NOT buy 'em! Furniture is hit-or-miss (as in most thrift stores), but the turnaround is pretty quick here. They've got busy worker bees out in the parking lot hauling in the day's donations rain or shine. They were working through a steady drizzle the last time I visited, yet still managed to floor-stock the large white tile kitchen table I saw being unloaded out of some guy's pickup truck the day before. I have a soft spot in my heart for south South Broadway. It ain't too pretty, but the people are, well, the real deal. And everything is super cheap compared to SoBo. I think I've mentioned this before. Anyway, this fantastic Goodwill is no exception. It is huge and spacious and relatively clean and organized and bright. I think that the usual shoppers here are looking for more practical items than I, so I loaded my arms up with funkalicious dishes carefully picked from their large selection. When I brought my goodies to the front, there was a huge line. The cashier wasn't calling for back-up. There was grumbling among us. I thought a riot might ensue. But then an upbeat woman, I believe her name was Julie, came to our rescue and rang everyone up lickety-split. And I got 50% off everything (SALES at Goodwill can't be beat!!), and she even complimented my new dishes! read more

Sorry Goodwill, but your hygiene is just sub par. If you have public restrooms they need to be sanitary. We were killing time and shopping waiting for gold sound to open. Furniture and electronics sections were sparse. The whole joint was kind of run down. Also boyfriend went in mens room, and there was poo on the floor. Quote- I knew I did not want to go in there. Sounds like a horror movie. Worth a look, but honestly the thrift stores and pawn shops are better in Denver. Just whatever you do don't go in the bathrooms. read more

While I'm usually one for keeping secrets, I will spill this time-- this is one of the best Goodwill locations around. Maybe it's because it's located near Cherry Hills or just because it has an awesome location but they have killer stuff at this Goodwill! I've found a number of goodies like North Face pants, Express pants, Talboy's and Ann Taylor tops not to mention other awesome finds. Goodwill is my place for clothes for the office since I hate spending money on clothes to wear to work. Parking can be tight and a pain in the butt sometimes so beware but on the flip side, it's located next door to Santiago's so you can go shopping then grab yourself a burrito! read more

This is my local Goodwill - I go at least once a week. It is not the biggest Goodwill, but I like how they organize it (color code shirts). Unless it's 50% off day, the place is really tidy and I always find so many great things. As others have mentioned, the pricing can sometimes be way out of control. (They seem to go in waves). I've seen Target merchandise priced MUCH higher than the sale price at Target. So, I don't bother buying any of their Target stuff. Also, this winter, they started pricing any ski jacket that was a decent brand (like Columbia or North Face) up to $49 - but that didn't reflect the crap conditions. I used to find good purses, but they completely overprice them now (and most are fake). So, when they start pricing out of control, I just start shopping at the other Goodwill at 26 S. Broadway for a while. Also, all of the Goodwills just started adding a space somewhere in the store that is for the supposed "higher end boutique" items. It is really a joke. There may be a few nicer things, but for the most part it is surprisingly enough the worst condition and worst brands. I'm rating this as a 3+ to 4 because I consistently find good things that work for me. And, the regular employees (long term) are really nice and professional. And, even if I don't buy much, I tend to go on Friday nights to just unwind from the week and see if I can find any bargains. read more

I used to work here and was bullied so bad by the night management team. I am on the Autism Spectrum diagnosed at 13. Night managers told me that I talk funny and started laughing at me to the point where I was crying every single day. I was also accused of stealing money which I would never do. Night managers spent 45 minutes to an hour in the cash office only to find my drawer was short every night so something must be happening while I was cleaning the store by myself. One night my husband picked me up from work only to find these very unprofessional managers screaming at me for no reason. Goodwill has permanently lost mine and my family's business. I have PTSD from it. I applied again to the bear valley location only to find out on my own my application was rejected. Wow didnt know this company dislikes individuals with disabilities. I have a heart of gold. I have made long lasting friendships there and will continue to have that. Will never work for this worthless company again. I'm thinking legal action at this point read more

The prices are way too high. You can shop a Walmart for new items cheaper than Goodwill. They could sale more items if they lower prices.

I am new to the area and so pleased with this store. Parking is easy, staff always greets me and asks if I need anything. The selection is superb! I can find what I'm looking for and more. Also if I choose to shop. Several times in the week I can still find new items! Bottom line, my go to store. Clean, tidy and organized. read more

I just overheard a conversation about how Mexicans browns and blacks were all thieves between a customer and an associate. I just walked in the store when I overheard this. Goodwill needs to reinforce rules when it comes to discrimination and tell workers to keep racist comments and conversations to themselves. So disappointing because I shop here often. I just reported the incident and thankfully management handled the situation. They said they would find out who it was and would be addressing the issue with the entire staff. Thank you management for handling the delicate issue because of them I will continue to shop here. read more

I can't say much for the store, but the team that was accepting donations did an outstanding job helping us unload and providing us with the receipt. I can only imagine the crap that they have to deal with, but they seemed pretty happy to be there and to help out. read more

This Goodwill fills my heart with joy. It is clean and well-organized and there's always tons of good stuff. The clothes are generally in good shape and there's a good variety--I brought my sister who was visiting from out of town and we actually fought over a few items! Previous reviewer mentioned a possible deal with Target and I think she's right; I bought a pair of brand new Xhilaration shoes that crazily enough, I had actually been eyeing in Target a few months before! Score! The furniture section is excellent. The times that I have been there, it's usually older (like 70s and 80s) but if you are willing to throw a coat of paint on something this place is perfect for you, especially during Saturday sales. I've bought great furniture here for under $10, and with a little paint no one ever has to know! But I tell them anyway, because I want them to know how awesome I am. Goodwill is of course also good for a laugh. Looking for a 5' by 5' painting of a cat face to hang in the living room? Or perhaps a tissue cozy made out of a doll head for that special someone? You're in the right place. Check this place out. Bring your friends. But stay away from the furniture, that stuff's mine. read more

Pretty good thrift shop! Lots to choose from, nice people working there, and I walked out with an armload of clothes for $13! Keep an eye out for their colored tag of the day and other deals. They do a 50% off special about once a month, but if it's like my local store, it can be pretty crazy on those days unless you show up late. read more

I have always been a fan of this store, as they are very friendly and it is one of the cleanest around, and typically their prices are pretty good - not like the one near county line rd off broadway. WELL, until recently, that is. Within the last month or so, their prices have gone up at least 30% on nearly everything. Now instead of most of the shoes being $4 or $5, the decent ones are $6.99. With the recent cold weather, I stopped in to find winter jackets for my fast-growing teenagers. I did find several, BUT they were $20 for a few years old white puffer from Gap and $30 (YES!!!!) for a snowboard type ski jacket for my son. Well, I kept them in my basket while I shopped, but put them back, as I could get something just as nice either on the half off day or at another store. Why have they raised their prices so much when the economy is so bad and people are really needing a bargain the most???? This is NOT the "goodwill" stores that I know :( Please change it back -- you're hurting the people most whom you claim to be helping. read more

I went to a weekend sale here and so the place was on overdrive. Even with all the business, the staff was very friendly. I'm not usually a person to go through all the racks but this place had me digging for hidden treasures and I did not come away from here frustrated or empty handed. Was able to find some Ann Taylor pants, a Forever 21 shirt, an Express knit sweater and a Limited shirt for $9!! I was in heaven when I heard the total. read more
