This is their public business location - it's open to the public on Wednesdays (when the staff is in town and not in Africa). It's a huge building with lots of senior services including an adult daycare, Home Health Aides, very reasonably cost senior transportation, and a host of other programs that they offer to low income senior citizens in Camden and Burlington county. I'm very fortunate my mother lives in their catchment area as she needs the medical transportation. We've just begun this relationship with this organization and I've been impressed with how they manage to provide services even though they are operating on such a low-budget. I was happy to make a donation to them as I could see it goes directly into helping seniors like my mother. The staff there is so pleasant to work with and are dedicated and do such a good job. I will say however that because of the low budget and staffing and the reduced number of hours with the medical transport you have to make the calls in on time in the morning to schedule and it's required two weeks in advance for scheduling medical appointments and you have to call the day before to confirm every appointment. With more money I'm sure they can become more and more automated in this process or at least have more vans and more staff available. My mother said that so far the drivers were very nice and they were on time and that they drive good too. And that is high praise from my mother.

The most impressive thing is that the Food Bank of South Jersey will provide 2 weeks supply of food to anyone in need who comes to their facility, no questions asked. I hope they continue to get all of the support that they need, through volunteers like myself, donations and grocery stores contributing food!

They also have a great website dedicated to telling you all about their work, and publish a newsletter about the people they help. Men, women and children really have a voice, and these people really care. This is a great place to do your holiday shopping. This year because of the snow (it would have cost $100 to FedEx just before the holidays), and total lack of feeling like shopping for another craptastic gift, I opted to send my family members a note that said I gave such and such amount in your honor. Project HOME shoots you an e-mail immediately, so you can gift very quickly and easily. I think my mom was mad at first, but then she really loved it, and I bet next year I'll get something similar - instead of two pounds of See's candies... ugh. Also, they are always looking for volunteers, and have job positions open all the time!
