A stressed mom with two kids came up to the register with a tag that her child had ripped off expecting to pay for a dress The woman behind the counter said she could not sell it and said that the dress retails for over $100 and she was refusing to sell it due to their policy. I tried to help the mom look for the tag and she realized her son had had it, and they still would not accept it. The woman at the counter would not respect that the tag was on there and tried to explain that that was not the correct tag, which was completely false. This policy is absolutely ridiculous... you guys get the stuff for free. i'm sorry, but watching a clearly struggling mother and not helping is insane to me. do better. read more

4/13/24 Good Will in my opinion is usually much higher priced than Liberty Thrift. I made out here on my impromptu shopping trip. I'm always in search of toys for my baby grand daughter and I scored big!! A Dyson play vacuum that has batteries that works! Parachute, magna doodle- new kite- Beatrix Potter Jack in the box- sooo cute!! Those are just a few awesome things I found here. The store had excellent children's toys and lots of interesting items. I was super pleased with the organization and cleanliness of the store it was a terrific and fruitful experience! Next to goodwill is the goodwill outlet. Never have I ever. . . Known this even existed?! The price is per pound. 1.89. Found a great pair of exotic shoes but they were too small for my big clodhoppers. Oh well. The area is bins of stuff you can paw through- be ready to dedicate a lot of time if u are interested. I prefer the more organized store. I would RUN back! read more

This review is only for "the bins" on the outlet side. I re-sell clothing as a hobby/side hustle, and I thought this bins had a good to great mix of pieces. It was my first time at an outlet store, and I found the clientele was not cutthroat as most resellers characterize people at these places. There may have been one hardcore group there waiting for the bins to turnover, but they weren't pushy people. There also wasn't anyone working there acting like a drill sergeant about the bins. It felt like we were all adults and knew to take turns at the bins and give the worker space. Everyone was very cordial and the staff person, Karen, was very helpful when we were ready to checkout. The value is great considering the inflation of Goodwill prices. I got about 7 items (one being a thick wool jacket) for around $12. It's a great alternative to shopping on the store side and paying more, but you do have to be willing to dig and maybe plan to stay awhile. We went on the best day. The weather was warm and sunny for December. I would definitely return. It felt like quite a journey from West Philly, but was worth the change of scenery in my thrifting jaunts. read more

Stopped at this Goodwill en route to a campground in Upper Black Eddy. I planned my route accordingly so I could hit up all the thrift stores on the way. My visit was Father's Day weekend 2021 This store has alot of positive things going for it. It's clean and well maintained. It did have more larger items (dollhouses, etc) and furniture than locations in my area. It also had an abundance of nice art work which were very current and on trend. The isles were wide and neat. Housewares were arranged by color in typical Goodwill fashion and a tad disappointing. The linen dept was skimpy but what was there was in good condition and current. I was able to get a lovely, like new, pillow insert cover for only $2.99 Peaking at the clothes the selection for shorts was in short supply and they had more ladies tops than anything else. They also had an area of new items that were lower quality (like dollar tree items, only more than $1). Any promotional discounts did not apply toward those items. I made several purchases at this location that day, including a lovely floral raincoat that was reasonably priced, in like new condition, and something I haven't seen anywhere. I've gotten compliments every time I wore it and people are shocked to hear it was a Goodwill purchase. This location also has an outlet next door. If you are unsure what is the difference between the store and outlet refer to my review of the Goodwill location on Lincoln Highway in Lancaster, PA - there I go into detail and explain the picking process and pricing. The outlet was what really took this review from 5 stars to 4. Usually I love me a Goodwill outlet, after all it's as much about the hunt as it is the score. But this one was very small and many of the items were broken or trash bound. It was very dirty, both on the floor and in the bins. I felt like I was digging in a dumpster, and like I said I'm a "seasoned" thrifter so not too much turns me off, but this outlet did. If I'm in the area I would stop again, but just forgo a visit next door to the outlet. On a side note all Goodwills are now bagless, including the outlets so do bring your own. read more

When this place first opened, I absolutely loved it because they had an outlet! I came here almost weekly. Fast forward to last spring, I started feeling super itchy after my visits here on the outlet side and after it happened more than once, I stopped coming for a while. I have shopped at the Lancaster Goodwill outlets and have never had that issue! I recently just started going again and the room is usually full of people with carts looking to resell and constantly swapping out bins when I'm trying to look. (This is true of other locations I've gone as well). They charge by the pound here and the price seems to rise almost yearly. I think its up to like $1.49 a pound (but if you buy over 20lbs, the price goes down). Shoes are a standard $2.25. Furniture is priced as marked. The outlet side is very hit or miss; sometimes you find some treasures and some times you leave empty handed. Lots of people were waiting for the bins to be swapped out blocking the aisles with their carts. I was pretty much in and out on my last visit, especially after I found a used bandaid in one of the bins. Gross. Overall, its hit or miss if you will find anything (like any thrift shop). read more

We've donated clothes and items here for the past few years. Each time we drop off items, the staff comes out to our car to help within a few seconds. They've always offered a receipt as well. Overall, great experiences at the donation site! read more

Lots and lots of clothing and very well organized. I was looking for home items and the shelves were pretty bare and that section very small considering the size of the store. It was clean and well lit. I did not go into the bin room next door other than to peek. Mostly clothes again. That people don't follow the VERY clearly marked arrows on the aisles is not the store's fault at all. So do be mindful that you may have to do some back tracking with your cart- at least for now. read more

This is a brand new thrift store and I was really pleasantly surprised by it. The store is easy to access heading north on Route 309 and there is ample parking. They have three different entrances -- the main store, an outlet store, and a donation center. I started my trip by dropping off some items at the donation center. The center looked very well organized. You had to ring a bell to enter. Receipts were available upon request. I've been to other local donation centers and I have often felt as if my donations might be left out in the weather or otherwise disregarded -- this is not the case at the Goodwill. Everything is taken directly into the center and attended to. The store itself was open and clean. Everything is well organized by item type (sweaters, pants, etc.) and color, so it's easy to sort through. They even have fitting rooms where you can try items on. They had a very large selection of mostly modern and gently used clothing. We also stopped in the outlet center briefly. It's basically a large room with huge bins filled with clothes and other items. I don't know exactly what qualifies an item to go to the outlet, but this section of the store is markedly less organized. You would need to spend time sorting through the bins and you can't really find out if they have what you're looking for at a glance. With that said, the items in this area are sold by the pound, so you'll likely realize significant savings on clothes from this part of the store. They have scales available throughout the space so that you can weigh what you're choosing as you find it. Overall, a really nice store -- I plan on stopping in again soon. read more

Happened by this place and was impressed. Clean and decent prices. Wish the Goodwill by me was this clean and fresh smelling! The outlet part was small but it was cleaner and tamer than the one in New Jersey. People rushing, shoving, arguing and throwing elbows at the one in Bellmawr, but here not so much. Much calmer and more polite crowd. I've only been here once though, maybe it was the day or time? Don't know but I will be back at some point! read more

Store is nice and new prices on clothes on reasonably priced men's clothes $3.95 kids clothes are priced at $2.50 -$3.00 However the newer stuff are way over priced According to the cashier the manager is money hungry. read more

I've found some great things at this Goodwill since they opened here. At times the housewares section in the main store is lacking or in a bit of a disarray, but that's few and far between. I love that the store and outlet are a one-stop shop. The prices are decent 75% of the time, occasionally the main store slaps a ridiculously high price on something, and I just let it sit. I almost always find a treasure here if I search. Will keep going back. read more

As thrift stores go this is one of the nicer ones that I frequent. They seem to always have a nice selection of clothing & shoes at reasonable prices. But I mostly go to dig thru the piles of stuff at the outlet next door. Be warned, the outlet is not for the feint of heart, it's about 20 rowboat sized bins full of shoes, clothes, electronics, books,etc. Mounds of mostly crap but every once in a while there's a gold nugget amongst the cow chips, all priced by the pound, except for the shoes at $2.25 a pair. I always enjoy my visits there even if I find nothing. It's always an adventure. read more

This is my first time going to this location, mostly because I was unaware there was a Goodwill retail store/outlet in the Montgomeryville area. While I did not visit the outlet, I did stop in the retail store which is where i usually shop. It's a nice size building, and is filled with lots of clothes, shoes, books, appliances etc. So there is no shortage of items to look for. My main section is the dvd/cd section. I found that the dvd/cd section isn't as big as other Goodwill stores (the Plymouth Meeting one for example) as the cd section were two small racks on the ends of a VHS bin and the dvds were all upon a single smaller bookshelf. There are good finds, but as the usual the real good items are empty or have something else in place which is a shame as it happened on at least 5 items I was going to buy. Other than that, everything else is Fair. I didn't have a problem with employees, parking or checkout. Going in or out onto 309 can be tricky as it is always busy but luckily on the other side of the lot is another entrance/exit onto the less crowded Horsham Road which is the better alternative as it can easily loop to 309/North Wales Road. This is a average Goodwill Store though It doesn't top Plymouths store for me. read more

Good store, helpful staff with the exception of the managers. If you have a complaint send it to goodwill via their website or ask for a Male, not the older women. Her name is MEG. I've found out because I had to directly deal with her. She avoids customers, does not do her job. I see her shopping the racks, other employees overextending themselves due to her lack of awareness. Do not speak to the older women there who says she is a manager. She is rude and makes you feel uncomfortable for simply buying something. Contact corporate if you encounter this women at montgomeryville or Warrington; I've seen her there too. Goodwill loyal followers know what I'm talking about. Until she is gone I will not return and neither will my friends in the business. read more

Ok, I went again, just because they are pretty much the only goodwill outlet in the area. I did score a few nicer winter coats and jackets. It wasn't a mad house like I've seen before, but the cashier didn't show up in the outlet part of the store for a good 15 minutes. My hands got all itchy from touching stuff. Friendly staff, which is hard to find these days. I called ahead looking for a used item and the lady over the phone was kind and had someone look for the item to see if it was in stock. She did not seem annoyed with the call. Then when I came to the store someone helped me look for the item and then found a new one in a box and also helped me to get a better deal. Then when I went to the cash register, someone behind the desk smiled at me. I know this may seem normal to some but it is RARE to find more than one nice person in an establishment.
