I've been taking my car to this Goodyear for regular alignments because I bought their membership, and while the alignment itself seems fine, nearly every visit leaves me with a brand-new problem. The first time, my car suddenly developed an under-hood oil leak right after their service. I had it fixed somewhere else because I absolutely do not trust these people with anything beyond basic alignment. Whether it was a coincidence or something they caused, I'm not risking it. I will never let them repair anything on my car -- even if I'm selling it, trading it, or junking it. Then on another visit, my AC started blowing dust immediately afterward. Again, no idea if they damaged something or messed with a component, but the timing is way too suspicious. And let me be crystal clear: I'd sooner drive around breathing dust forever than let this shop "repair" anything for me again. If anyone else has had similar experiences, I seriously hope an actual expert can look into this place. If there's a pattern, it needs to be exposed so customers aren't put at risk by sloppy or careless work. At minimum, people deserve to know what they're dealing with. The only reason I even show up for alignments is because the tire company requires proof of maintenance so they don't deny my warranty. But every visit feels like a gamble where another random part of my car goes wrong afterward. People should pay attention to what happens to their vehicles after service here, because in my experience, the pattern is impossible to ignore. My advice: go somewhere else for anything beyond the absolute basics. And definitely don't let them "repair" anything. Keeping your car out of their hands may save you a lot of stress, money, and headaches. read more

I had a flat tire on my John Deere Gator and called Goodyear on a Sunday. They don't sell that kind of tire, but told me to bring it in. Turns out the tire didn't have a leak, but dumped the air when the tire was low and a worker drove it off a short concrete ledge. This is the worst Goodyear/auto service I have experienced! Made an appointment for a rotate and balance on tires I bought from them and it took them over 3 hours! There was one mechanic working and he had to keep stopping to do other jobs while working on mine. The two at the front never lifted a finger to help! This is the second time I've had bad service here, I only come because I bought the tires at another Goodyear. NEVER AGAIN! I'm just gonna pay to have it done at Discount. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS SHOP!! And on top of that I get home only to find out they charged me for 20 lug nuts and only replaced 17 of them. This is the same place that had me send pictures and emails to get my tires (that were supposedly bad) replaced and I didn't hear anything back! They said the tires couldn't be balanced. I am a 44 year old male and have been a mechanic for the Army for 23 years. I have went to numerous mechanic shops and do much work on my vehicles myself. Take my word for it, save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. A place that prides themselves on their tires can't even rotate and balance their own tires in less than 3 hours! Garbage! Had a great experience here. Got my car fully inspected, where people go wrong is when they hear bad news about their car and get price quotes. Goodyear seems to be completely transparent and really tells you what's going on with your car, and in my opinion its better than being completely unaware. If you want more life out of your car, and want real help then go hear. If you just want cheap used tires and want to be surprised when you have to buy a new car cause you didn't take care of it then don't bother. read more

they did good so far but whenever I take out car from them it smells like sh*t. dirt time it was smelling like oil. second time as if someone crapped in the car. I have never seen any car repairs giving me car with some weird smell in the car. I will never go to them. A few months ago, I had gone to my car's dealership to get quoted for some issues. They quoted me thousands of dollars and excessive prices. I came to good year to get an oil change and they did a free full diagnosis and quoted me less than half for what I was originally quoted at the dealership. I got my oil changed, brakes worked on, an alignment, as well as a few other things for an amazing price in a timely manner. A few months later everything is still working great and I'm back for an oil change. As a college student, they walked me through exactly what was being done, how to properly maintain my car, and offered so much kindness and patience. The staff is fantastic and I have referred all of my peers here since I first came in. read more

Next door walmart quoted less than 250 for two goodyear tires and installation Goodyear quotes 344 for two tires and installation Turns out the cashier added a bunch of upsells in my bill without informing me. Like the rest on here, it seems this Goodyear store is ANYTHING but GOOD!! So far they appear to prey on "unsuspecting" females...so as a Dad, needless to say, this pisses me off!! I had purchased tires for my daughter's vehicle at a local Goodyear store and knowing she was going to be away at college, I purchased the Road Hazard Warranty. Sure enough, she got a nail in her tire while she was at college and needed to get the tire fixed. I contacted my local store to verify the warranty covered her tires at this store in College Station and was assured it did. They also told me to contact them if she ran into any issues. Fearing what this store might do...(turns out I was right), I instructed my daughter to contact me if they attempted to do anything but take care of her tire. Sure enough, I got the call that they tried to tell her there are 2 different kinds of warranties and her's didn't cover her tire. She told them to contact our local Goodyear store to straighten out the confusion, which they did and now she's sitting...waiting... for instructions. Soooo the process starts where I get involved... I bottled my frustration and contacted this store and spoke with one of their employees. He told me that he requires certain numbers to start a warranty process. I asked him if he got those numbers from my local store and he said yea, but he was given "A" telephone number to contact about how to process the paperwork. He continued that when he calls the number he's getting voicemail and is waiting for a call back. I hang up and call my local Goodyear and explain my issue and relay what I've just been told. I'm informed that this seems to be an ongoing issue with other Goodyear stores where they do NOT train their employees on how to process warranty information through Goodyear... furthermore, I was informed that the employee was given 2 numbers to contact to educate him on what needs to happen to take care of GOODYEAR'S customers!! Hearing my frustration, my local store puts me on hold for a short second, only to have the phone picked up by the Owner/Manager who tells me that he's also frustrated with other Goodyear stores for hassling his customers and not doing what they're supposed to do. He tells me that he will contact this Goodyear store directly and give them his personal credit card information to have my daughter's tire replaced and will seek reimbursement through Goodyear on his own. Now folks, this is how you take care of your customers!!! This is also why I choose to do business with my local shop, Integrity Tire & Auto - Goodyear. Somehow I can't help but think that if it were me who showed up, instead of my daughter, things would have happened differently from the start. In short, I can assure you that I will NOT give one penny to this store, EVER! Hopefully somebody will one day post a positive comment on YELP about this place, but I doubt it... since for the last 3 years, they've only gotten 1 stars!! read more

We went in to this location because the tires on my son's car looked like they were wearing out on the inside too quickly. Had a great experience at this Goodyear location! After the weather turned chilly the 'Low Tire Pressure' indicator came on. I filled the tires myself and didn't think anything more of it until the next week when I started having to fill them every day. Took it in to Goodyear and the checked all 4 tires, filled them, didn't see anything obvious and told me to come back if I had any further issues. Came back the next day, the put the offending tire in the dunk tank, found the offending nail and fixed it FOR FREE. I work in customer Service, so pretty aware of it when utilizing local vendors; Justin and the team at Goodyear were extremely professional and pleasant. Getting an oil change with students back seems to be a difficult thing. Needless to say showing up for a change that was scheduled the day before and having them not have that in the system is very frustrating. In addition the customer service in fixing that laps is sorely lacking. Will not be back but in this situation I guess the only person it hurts is me as a potential customer. read more

Found a coupon online for $20 oil change so I made an appointment for the next day. After waiting 45 minutes, with no one else in the waiting area, guy at the counter called me up. In his hand was a 7 page list of repairs needed. Instead of a quick$20 oil change, I was given a quote for $800 of repairs. I told him I was not interested, and rejected his pressured attempts to consent for repairs. I had a second and third opinion from a mechanic in Bryan and one in Austin. Both could not find any problems with my well maintained car. I happened to be out of town and in College Station when it was time for an oil change. I came to the Goodyear and immediately was uncomfortable. Their prices were way more expensive than home, but it needed to get done and the guy said he would get me a discount. Halfway through the change, he calls me up to the desks and shows me some filters. He says they are my engine filter (?) and my air filter and they are really dirty. I looked at them, and he was right, those filters were dirty. I asked the price, one was like $50 and the other was $40. I felt uncomfortable with those prices, so I told him I would pass. He said "Well, you have to change them at some point". I said, sure, but I want to do it at home. He said okay. I went on my way. Finally it's time for a new oil change and I bring it to my home place, LOVE them (Auto One in Round Rock, TX). I told them what he told me and asked him to look up the price. Turns out, he isn't sure what an engine filter is, but the oil filter gets changed with the oil and is included in the price. Interesting. Then he says he will let me know if my filter is dirty. He brings my filter out, and not only is it not that dirty, it looks COMPLETELY different from the one I was shown in College Station at Goodyear. Not even remotely the same shape, and certainly not riddled with bugs and debris. They tell me I definitely have a few thousand miles left. I felt two things 1. Justified in my suspicion of the guy at Goodyear and 2. Pissed. I get I am a young female, but I don't think that screams please take advantage of me. Say what you will about intuition and gut feelings, but it saved me $90 and an extreme sense of embarrassment. Go to the Firestone in CStat- their prices are much more reasonable and they are nice. I got a story for you Ags! Don't go to this location unless you have no other choice. I came in because I needed a flat tire fixed up and placed back on my vehicle. This is a free service, and I still ended up paying $300 for it. They had a technician that patched it up which is great. However, he managed to break the wench/cable system that holds the spare tire in place underneath the vehicle (I drive an F-150). They came to ask me about it when they couldn't lower the cable and I literally witnessed the tech crank the system clockwise instead of counterclockwise. I stopped him and pointed this out to him, and he had to stop and think about which direction counterclockwise was. Apparently they don't teach techs "righty tighty, lefty loosey"... They quickly gave up once they realized it was broken, placed the spare in the bed of my truck, said they didn't have time to fix it, and got me out as quickly as possible. Of course I live in Dallas and it was a Sunday so I had no choice but to head out home. I had to take it to the dealership and pay over $300 in parts and labor for a flat tire... I made a claim and they tried to say that I had broken the part before I brought the truck in and would only pay half of the damages. The only reason I've placed 1 Star is because you have to. The girl at the front desk was actually very nice as well, so I will dedicate the one star to her. read more

Horrible experience with this place. Went for a full oil change where they were supposed to top off all my fluids. First of all, it took them 6 hours. Second, when I left for a road trip to Colorado a few days afterwards- I decided to check my fluids "just incase". When I checked them they were ALL at or below the minimum line. They didn't touch any of my fluids. If I wouldn't have checked these before the road trip, assuming they did their job, I would have had some serious issues. Will never go back. read more

I could not speak more poorly of an oil change. They took two and a half hours to do it, and when I drove off, my check engine light was on, the gears weren't shifting very well, and it was jerky. I called them and they said that it was highly unlikely that it was their fault, but to bring it back. The engine shut off less than a quarter of a mile away and they told me that if I couldn't get it over there before they closed in an hour, to just come back tomorrow. (Keep in mind, I'm a 19 year old girl living in a college town during the summer, it wasn't like daddy could come save me). After a police escort back to Goodyear, they took a look at it and after a good 10 minutes finally realized that they didn't reattach one of the main hoses to the engine when they inspected it (the inspection was free, but I had told them that I didn't want it because I wanted to save time, guess they didn't listen). His response was, "Oh, that happens when the person doing it is in a rush." Seriously, how can you just not reattach one of the main parts to the engine. Even after the huge inconvenience, they still did not give me any sort of discount. Terrible, terrible customer service. read more

So I came to this location to get an oil change because I had a coupon that came in the mail. $18.90 for a conventional oil change (5 quarts), sounds great, right? I knew I would have to pay for the extra quart my car requires, and was prepared for that, but the guy behind the counter tells me that I have to do a full synthetic oil change (coupon works for $10 off synthetic ) because my last oil change (from a different business) was full synthetic and Goodyear's policy requires that if the previous oil change was synthetic they cannot do conventional oil on the next change. However, my last oil change was NOT synthetic, it was conventional, but the guy behind the counter wouldn't hear me when I said that. Because the sticker on my window (according to Goodyear) from my last change indicated they used synthetic oil. The bottom line is I had to pay $70.00 to get a full synthetic oil change here due to their policies. Before I really thought through what they had told me, I (stupidly) signed the paper and they took my car back. There are plenty of places in college station I would have taken my car for an oil change (synthetic or otherwise) before this place, but I came just because of the coupon. And, there are plenty of places with lower prices for synthetic oil changes after coupons. Next time I'll go back to Christian Brothers where I don't feel like I'm being taken advantage of as a woman in need of service on her car. Ugh!!! read more

Absolutely shocking and worst experience. Fixed an appointment for oil change. Showed a coupon. The rep took half hour, took the car key, did something under the hood without authorization. Printed invoice for oil change under high price. When I reminded about the coupon, the rep redid the invoice. Then the rep insinuated that I had an oil change done some other place (I had only done in Goodyear the last couple of times). Talked some manager, Justin on the phone came back and refused to do the oil change, claiming I should have come earlier. The rep incorrectly stated that it was 10 miles when I had the last oil change. When I asked him to give his refusal to do oil change in writing, he refused and said "you need to grow up." They tried to sell me a whole load of repairs last time and I did not accept, so this is their way of taking revenge on the customer. A total rip-off and rude place--should never go there. read more
