We were on a road trip and blew a tire on the way on a Sunday evening so no tire places would be open until the next day. The temporary spare didn't allow more than about 70-ish miles on it per trip, so we found the nearest big city (Texarkana) and nearest Discount Tire, which was handily on the highway! I booked an appointment for first thing next morning to replace the busted tire, and also inspect the rest since we noticed a nail in the tread of another while rotating the wheels to put the spare on the back. They knew we had to get on our way due to the note I left plus chatting with us, and were mindful of our timeframe and got us out in 30 minutes! (Pro Tip: MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, no matter what.) I can't say enough about using Discount Tire for your tire needs: they specialize in this and know what they're doing! We had bought the "certificates" on these tires last time, not really knowing it would be used, but drove away paying only $49 to certify the new tire (saving over $200) with the other nail repair, inspection, mounting and balancing for free. Let me start of by saying, I have been a customer of Discount Tire since 2000. If you make an appointment, don't expect it to get done on time!!! I've done my last business with them ever. Called Corporate Discount Tire to complain. They talked to the manager at the Texarkana, TX location and said he would be out to discuss the matter with me. He came out alright. Not to apologize but to give me all the reasons he wasn't in the wrong. Never apologized for being late on my service. He made sure to tell me he did nothing wrong. I asked him if the customer is always right. He hung his head and said, "Yes." Hmmmmm!!! Need I say more. I'm done with Discount Tire. Period!!! I talked to several people about what happened and they said the customer service at Discount Tire in Texarkana had gone down in the last six months. I can believe it!!! I'm DONE. So Discount Tire tried to call me about the matter. I answered the phone and said hello at least five times. No one would answer me. And no, they never called back. What a way to do customer service!!!! Added later: I've tried twice to get my issue resolved and nothing has worked. Discount Tire said they would call me about the issue. They called alright. I answered the phone and no one would talk to me. Oh well, they tried to call at least. Then I do a Yelp review and they send me a link that will not work. If I could give a zero I would. On 6/6/25, I went to Discount Tire to get a tire patched. The store manager gave me a lecture about needing new tires but he said they would check the tire to see if it could be fixed. I told him to give me the key back and I would go elsewhere. He refused. The car was taken to the bay and I watched them put the spare on, which I told them NOT to do. When the the tech came back into the store, I asked him WHY they put the spare and he responded, "that's what you asked." I told him no and let them know I wouldn't be back. I went to a "big box" store and they fixed the tire with no problem. I have bought several sets of tires from Discount Tire over the years, both here in TXK and Arlington. This location was once our go to tire shop. He used them exclusively for all of our vehicles. Management changed at some point and this place is now a joke. The past few times I have been it has been nothing but terrible experiences. Unless you are buying a new tire they do not want to see you there. I went to have my front driver side tire checked for a leak. As well as having my tires rotated and balanced. It specifically says all this is free on your website. 1. They could not find a leak. 2. They rotated my tires and did not balance because I have to buy tires from them. I have bought several pairs of tires and American racing rims from you. It specifically says rotate, balance, and patch for free. I have been a customer since 2004. I escalated to the store manager at the location I was at and he again told a long term customer no. I left unhappy. Then I drove my vehicle east on the highway and it pulled left. I turned around heading west and it pulled right. I went back to the store on Richmond Road in Texarkana and they rotated them back to when I brought it in. I made an appointment. Sure was nice and I even checked on the cost of 4 replacement tires even though I only have 23k on these. Bought my 4Runner brand new in 2020. I don't drive much. Even though they put the tire's back to the original position. I know have a problem I didn't have of the vehicle pulling. They accomplished nothing and I had go to a competitor. They were closing so I will have to go back. It specifically states for the third time air,patch, rotation, and balanced for free on your website. You created a problem I didn't have. Wild, I show up with a flat tire on my U-Haul trailer and they won't fix it. I call U-Haul and they tell me they don't know why. I told them it's ok, I'll just pay and they said they want me to drive away with a flat tire on my trailer with my family in the car.... So I called U-Haul and they sent me a tire repair person to come to discount tire and fix the tire while I sit in a discount tire parking lot. Tony was unsympathetic. I have been a loyal customer for many years, I got all my family to go there but the last couple times I have received terrible service. It has been like an argument with them trying to sell me tires and tpms. The latest was a tire I needed patched and they said I would have to buy a new one even though there was plenty tread on the tire. Came in during a busy time, two hours before closing and the day before a holiday. A couple weeks prior, the Just Tires (a Goodyear owed outlet), in Plano, TX had broke a tire pressure sensor while installing new tires, and did a shoddy job glueing and taping it back in place. I was coming through Texarkana where it broke loose and sounded like a rock in blender. This Discount Tire location got the sensor mounted correctly, were knowledgable, friendly, did this in 20 minutes, and for no charge. A+ experience! They even let me look at the glue and tape Just Tires left in the rim, who drew a Tesla logo on the tape as a bad joke. Discount was quick and did the work right, Just Tires took 3.5 hours for such shoddy con work. read more

This is a late review, but one that needed to be shared. I was on my way to AR with my Jeep on a trailer on the Friday of Labor Day weekend and I had a blowout about 20 miles to Texarkhana at about 5:20pm. I quickly made a call to Discount Tire and spoke with Hunter and explained my situation with him and told him that I desperately needed a spare for my trailer and that I probably would be a few minutes past their closing time. He assured me that he would take care of me even if I was a few minutes late. I reached them just at closing time and Hunter and his team checked the tires and it turns out my trailer tires were a few years old and were due for replacement. He gave me a great deal on some 10ply trailer tires and even changed all of the tires on the trailer (without me having to unload the Jeep) in 10-12 minutes. Huge shoutout to Hunter and his team for going out of their way and going the extra mile. read more

I had surgery a week ago and can't bend or stoop for about another week. After about a week of my pickup being parked and change in temperature all 4 tires are showing low PSI. From past experience of doing business with Discount Tire by buying multiple sets of tires for 3 vehicles and knowing they offer free tire check and will add air if needed I went there this morning. I parked in the designated spot they have and did as the sign said "wait here" Well to get to the point after about 15 minutes I was still waiting and have 4 low tires. Several of the guys working in the tire shop looked at me sitting there but nothing more. There are other places in town that would love to have my business. If was able I would air up my own tires but needed some help with the problem. I'll take my business else where soon, as a need new tires for my F150 pickup. read more

I called my husband and he stopped at Discount Tire to ask if he could borrow air tank or if someone could come outside, walking distance to my car in parking lot which is below them, and they said "we don't do that". Fair prices on all sorts of tires and wheels. Had to outfit a 1986 Ford Bronco with new tires and wheels, and this store was able to quickly do so. Had to make an extra trip due to miscommunication by store, but it all worked out well in the end. Don't go here for anything! I stopped here on my way home to Kentucky due to vibration. I paid for a 4 wheel balance. They didn't do it! The back 2 tires had the original weights on them and the front passenger had weights removed and front driver had new weights and old ones. There were 4 employees standing behind the counter talking. As I walked in they looked up but no acknowledging me. I stood there as they finished. One walked off and the remaining kept talking. 2 min later they ended. Still no hello or anything.
