My poor, neglected car was making a cranking noise while braking. I knew it needed love and heard good things about this spot (apparently Amazon and the local PD use it regularly). Keith was sympathetic ("sorry to be the grim reaper") and explained everything in detail. It was costly due to the amount of things needed (including new tires) but he found some coupons to offset the cost. When I drove the car again, it was like a brand new car! So smooth. I appreciate the work they did and the thoroughness of the check when I brought it in. Recommend! EDIT: Minus one star because a few days and few miles later, my tire pressure light lit up. Put in air (Keith owes me two bucks now), drove a bit, and it went on AGAIN. Will update if it continues to be an issue. read more

I had a very good experience here. I have a car that had sat idle and a the rubber in one of the tires had degraded. It blew on 85S and I had it brought to this location because they had the tire I needed in stock. They took care of it honestly and quickly. They could have sold me a lot more...I wasn't able to tell exactly what was needed. They didn't take advantage of my ignorance and I'd recommend them. read more

This really concerns me as I just recently moved here and need to find a trusted place to go. I started looking at other options and happened onto GOODYEAR. They do many maintenance services and I thought I'd give them a try! The manager, JEREMY, honored the competitor's coupon and got us in right away. We had such a good experience that I think I've found a home for my oil changes! BTW.. tire rotations are FREE with oil change. To be charged $72 at dealerships for a tire rotation is rediculous! I was a couple of minutes early and was told it would be at least 2 hours before my car could be taken in. They asked if I wanted to leave it for "a few hours". No. That's exactly why I scheduled an appointment. This place is run by amateurs who show complete disregard for the customer. There is no chance I will ever do business with Goodyear again. Don't know what is happening there but I am done. Used to be friendly and efficient. Those days are gone. Made an appointment for a rotation (free because I bought the tires there.) I recently had a nail in my tire and I needed it fixed asap. I went by and saw Keith. Keith is always very welcoming and happy to help his customers! I told him I was in a pinch as my other car was in the shop. Keith said he would get it done and give me a call when ready. He then realized I didn't have a ride home and offered to run me home. I was fine and told him I'd walk home. Thank goodness I took it in. I had two nails in my tire! Once my car was ready, Keith gave me a call and offered to pick me up. I again declined. I made an appointment for an oil change and wiper blade replacement on their website. When selecting maintenance options it gives you lots of suggestions so I went ahead and asked them to check lots of things like brakes, steering, fluids, etc. it gave me a drop off time and estimated pick up time 2 hours from drop off. At drop off they asked if I was having any issues with the multiple maintenance requests. I told them I wasn't but wanted it checked because I was leaving for a long trip tomorrow. I called 3 hours later after wondering why I hadn't been contacted yet since it was just an oil change and maintenance checks. The man told me the car had not even been looked at yet. I had to pick up my car and he blamed it on the website. As if customers are supposed to know it's wrong? Customers should be told at drop off if they can meet the time requirements, why should I even have to ask? He could tell I wasn't happy and asked me to bring it back, after my long trip I was trying to prepare for, so I did, very unhappy I had to drive hundreds of miles on an unchecked car. Monday they set me as quick turnaround which was nice but they didn't change my wiper blades, I wasn't about to wait around again. This makes me wonder what else they missed? I had new brakes and rotors installed at the greer ntb. 9 months and 15,000 miles later I was getting a vibration in brake pedal but was stopping fine. I took it to woodruff road location and they said nothing was wrong with the brakes to have the transmission checked. The transmission shop said the front rotators needed turning and back ones replaced But the calipers were fine. I took the car back to ntb thinking they might work with me on a price even though the rotors were 3,000 miles out of warranty. The manager suggested I get new calipers rotors and pads to the tune of $1600. Same place that told me 5 days before my brakes were fine. I just don't trust them anymore So I didn't let them do anything to my car nor will I ever again. I took my car to my brother in law because he's a mechanic I actually trust. He replaced the rotors. Said they didn't look bad but they could have been warped. Looked up signs of warped rotors and what do you know? Vibration in brake pedal is a sign of that. I just feel like a tire and brake shop should know that and suggest trying to replace them instead of saying nothing was wrong with the brake system. I was traveling from Shelby for work and my check engine light came on. I stopped by here to get a diagnostic check. I am not sure if they take people in like that but they said it's probably not a good idea that I travel far without getting that checked. They checked my car out and were even able to change the needed parts right then. Mike Taylor, the store manager was the one that helped me out. I scheduled an appointment to have my tires rotated, balanced and oil sensor changed out. I was called by the service advisor telling me that my rotor, brake pads, calipers on the rear axle needed to be replaced. That the calipers were dragging, the rotors had groves in them and that they might be able to turn them vs. replace and that new calipers were required. They gave me an estimate of over $800 to perform this needed-essential work. I hadn't noticed anything wrong when braking so I told the service advisor I would have to wait. And, I'm glad I did! I took it to another repair facility, Mavis, where they inspected and took me back to view what needed to be done. The rotors were smooth, pads had 75+% life on them. Goodyear had counter balanced the rear wheel- making it have the clicking sound as if something was dragging. This type of service is inexcusable and is what give repair companies a bad name. I will not be back and sending all documentation into their corporate office. **Addition: Responded to the request from Goodyear to give them a call regarding my review. Stephanie the representative that took my call after being on hold for 20+minutes basically told me great thanks for calling this will be forwarded to the District Manager. Great customer service. How about refunding me the -$164 for the 3 year alignment program I purchased that I will not be using at any of your locations. read more

I hate to do this But the guy in the front and I believe the Ass manager left me no choice. It's hard to believe that they don't know how to charge a person that they sent me to FIRESTONE Tires. They would rather send business away. I don't know if it's only this Goodyear or is it their new way of customer service. I came in due to a couple of reasons. Mainly because I had a screw on one of my tires. The rear passenger tire. It also has needed an oil change and some TLC for some time. So I thought. Well perfect I'll get everything done. It was 4:30 pm. And I didn't know what time they're open too. I was glad to see they were open till 7. That's about all the good they did. That and send me to Firestone. I walked in and told them exactly what I needed. I first said I needed a patch for a tire. Then I told them I needed and oil change and it had to be serviced. They first told me they would have to look at the tire but wasn't sure if they could do it. I told them it just happened. I also told him that the car was a rental. He then said well he wasn't sure if he could do it. That he would need to call and verify. So I called for him. The number from the last time I had a vehicle serviced. I told him what I was doing. The man on the phone told me to tell the service man on the front desk. That they had a national account with them. I put the man on speaker and gave the phone to service desk guy. The guy heard him but he told him that they didn't know how to do it. And it would probably take a long time to ring it up. The man on the phone then said if there's a Firestone near by. The service guy said yes. Even thought he was talking to me. He told him that it was near by. And suggest that I go there instead. I was blown away. I told the man on the phone from Enterprise I would go. And thank you. He said they have a national account there also. And it would very easy. I hung up. Still shocked on what just happened. All of a sudden. A man comes in from the service area. He looked like the manager. He looked concern what was going on. So we asked him and he agreed that last time he tried doing it. It took him almost 4 hours. To figure it out. He agreed that I should go to Firestone. So much for going to a place that is close by to the Hotel. The guy was an Ass. manager. And he told me that it was better to go somewhere else. Because they were too lazy or just ignorant. Still shocked as I write this reviews. I will tell that I went to Firestone. They took my truck in. They told me that I needed a new tire. And that the tires were going to need to be changed soon. They also only took about 5-10 mins to get my info from the truck. They walked out and got all the info. And then service guy at the desk called Enterprise. He might of been somewhat new. But his manager walked in as he was getting done. He told him that they have a national account with Enterprise. But glad he figured it out. Great service here at Firestone. I suggest don't waste your time at Goodyear. At least not this one. I don't know if corporate knows what they are doing. Hopefully they send me away so they could leave early. Because thee was only one car inside. Who knows. But all I know is that I left there with the sense of the service people are just not willing to go out for me. This is sad. Because when I was in Chicoteague Virginia. Near Maryland. I had my personal Tahoe work on there. And they went all out. Even given me a rental car when the parts didn't come in correct. Great service there. Unfortunately not all Goodyear's are the same. I've been coming to this Goodyear service center for about 10 years. I've tried other auto service centers in the area but always end up coming back here due to good customer service and being treated fairly. My wife and teenage daughter also get their vehicles serviced here. On more than one occasion I've compared recommended services from this facility to their competitors, and this facility has always made the right recommendation - even if it meant less money for them. To the reviewer who complained that he was referred to a competitor (Juan, 3/21/2018), although I'm sure it was inconvenient to go to another location, it certainly sounds like they were looking out for your best interest. They knew that it would be a problem for them to do the paperwork, so they sent you to a place that could help you better. How is that a negative? read more

Brought my car in for headlights, one was facing upward. Told me it would be 2 hours, I walked home. Was waiting on a quote like they said I'd get on the phone. Got a call three hours later saying "your cars done... it'll be $134". Walked back there and picked it up, that night I noticed my headlights were extremely uneven. Went back in and was told to come the next day. When I took it back, I walked home and got a call an hour later. That night I looked at my headlights and they were just as bad as they were. I called this morning and spoke to the manager he said he'd refund me but "he never wants to touch a car of mine again". I guess that's his way of being unaccountable. This Goodyear location has remarkable customer service. This was the first auto service center I took my car in the greater Greenville area. Three years later, I still bring my car to them even though they are good year locations closer to me now. They are professional, friendly and honest. They take time to educate me. Today I was educated on tire pressure and sensors in my Nissan Pathfinder. Other reviewer's remarked on the professional and honest customer service they received. We woke up to a flat tire in Montreat, NC and had to catch a flight in Atlanta - this location had great reviews and would be on our way and only require 1.5 hours of driving on the spare. Scheduled visit a week out. Needed oil change and tire rotation before heading out of town. Arrive 20 minutes before they opened, was first inline. Checked in when they open and was told to wait in waiting area and they would be with me in a moment. I waited and waited, 30 minutes later I asked "how we were doing on time". They said "it would be a while there were four cars ahead of me". Long story short, they forgot about me. Took 2 1/2 hours for a scheduled appointment, they were very disorganized that day. I went in because I was having trouble getting my car to start. They said the starter needed to be replaced and I told them to go ahead and do the repair. Only after it was done they said the problem was caused by the ignition switch, which they can't repair because the key has a security chip they can't reproduce. So I still have the same exact problem I went to them to fix but I'm much lighter in the wallet. I wouldn't trust them again. read more

I took my car here a week ago for an oil change, tire rotation, and to fix a slow leak in my left front tire. Today, the low pressure light was on in my car and the left front tire was low AGAIN. Guess what, the tires had never been rotated and the service manager wanted to charge me to repair the tire they had never fixed. They've lied to me about the tire rotations in the past but I thought it was just an oversight so I gave then another chance. I'm never taking my cars here again! They don't stand behind their work and tell you they've done work that they haven't. read more

We have had the best experiences with this Goodyear location. They have aligned our tires and done brakes on both our car and our truck and are always professional with the service and cost. But where I really want to give them huge praise was the time I took the truck in for what I thought needed new brakes and they checked them and told me that the brakes were in good shape and no service was needed. They are not only professional but honest and that is what will keep my business as long as they are around. read more

God service, except last time I had my tires rotated some changed the air pressure in all 4 tires to 20 lbs. should be 30.
