I brought my BBS RGRs to Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists in Essex during their Black Friday special for a full repaint along with mounting and balancing new tires. What initially caught my attention was their promised 24 to 48 hour turnaround, which was a lot quicker than I expected for this type of job. When I arrived to pick everything up, the team immediately spotted some issues during their final inspection. One wheel had noticeable overspray, another had a chip, and a third had a few surface imperfections. Mistakes happen, and what mattered to me was how the shop handled it. They were upfront, they owned it, and they took the wheels straight back to be redone without hesitation. I received all three refinished wheels about a week later which honestly aligned more with what I had originally expected for a quality refinish turnaround. The final product looked great and I appreciated that the team prioritized getting the job done correctly rather than rushing it out the door. Overall, I am happy with the work, the value, and the experience. The initial delay ended up being worth it because I would much rather have the job done right once even if it takes longer, instead of a quick turnaround followed by do overs. The team's honesty and willingness to make things right go a long way, and I would return for future wheel work.

Next morning I dropped off my wheel and tire, and sure enough it was salvageable. Alloy Wheel Repair had it done in less than one hour and you can't tell it was ever damaged. I have seen managers come and go.. All in which have been great, knew me and my vehicles. If needed they would give me a ride home or pick me up to come get my car. Today i brought in a new vehicle i had just bought and wanted to get some maintenance done to it. the new manager Jim was the one handling it. he called saying there some recommendations and i approved them. Now when he called me back and said it was ready to be picked up is where the problem started. I told him great i will try to get a ride there before they closed, if i couldn't find one, i would be there first thing on the morning to get it. I got a huff and a puff then an attitude.. he replied that i needed to get it today for the guy to get paid.. if i couldn't get it til tomorrow he wanted payment over the phone. i asked did policies change? i have never experienced this before.. then he became even more irritated, went into a rant and was about to hang up on me when i told him i will give you the payment, i was just asking,, in all the years i have gone there i have never had this problem. He failed to give me my total cost that he wanted me to pay.. then said he would not be on the next day when i pick it up... i told him the invoice better say paid and i better not have a problem since your making me pay now. My steering wheel is still off and car still pulls to the right when my wheel is at 12 o clock exactly the same as before I took my car in. I called to speak to someone and was told the manager would call me back. At this point it's been 2 hours and the shop closes in half an hour. I specifically took off work to get this done and have no other time to get this properly fixed so I'll have to settle for the MUCH cheaper quality tires than what I asked for. Going to be demanding a refund for the alignment and a discount on the tires i did get. If this is not done I plan to initiate a full credit card chargeback for services not rendered.​​

Nearly every time I bring my vehicle in, I end up having to return it because widget xyz was not installed correctly, or something was missed that should have been found during the QC. Bought 4 brand new tires, the next day was of them was flat, bad valve stem, or so they said. They ordered the wrong size tires, which cost me an extra day, then when the tires were installed, the car sat for a few hours and the bad tire was starting to lose air. Like, doesn't anyone check these things before giving the vehicle to the customer?? The front office staff is very helpful, especially Andrea, and I think that's why I kept coming back, but I'm tired now. I'm tired of having to burn leave days from work to deal with returns, or paying for tows that could have been avoided. I would rate these techs as some of the worse I've experienced at Firestone since opening an account with this company nearly 20 years ago. Your experience at this location may differ and I hope it does, but for me, I've had enough.

I came to them to find out what was wrong with my engine, although i got a…read morediagnostic from autozone and let them know they said i needed a MAF sensor, but they told me all it was, was the air filters and low oil codes popping up. Charged me $220, ok. Not even 2 full hours later of me driving around to do errands my engine light comes back on. Not only that within a week after me bringing my car to them, my car starts starting and not staying on. This happened 3 times within a span of a week. I got stuck in a garage because my car wouldn't start anymore and a guy my school sent out looked at my oil and said it was dark!! i brought my car BACK to bob's and they then charge me another $200 just to clean out a sensor but on the receipt it says they removed and replaced the sensor (lying on paperwork) and they said this was a new code to pop up. But when I brought my car to autozone before coming to Bob's, they told me the MAF sensor was the issue. Another 3 hours after driving my car from getting their service, my engine light turns back on. They have no respect for clientele and just want to ruin your car so you have to keep coming back to them. I have never been so dissatisfied in my life! Do not go here!

I look forward to a great service relationship with the team and appreciate them looking over my car and doing what makes sense for me.

    I Recently purchased a Ford F550 6.7 Diesel 2017 At this…read moredealership $80k very nice truck .two years after purchase at 31k miles the battery caught on fire . Called the dealer . They confirmed it was under warranty and told me to bring it it . After arriving and sitting in the waiting room for a few minutes I was told the truck warranty did not cover this issue and they said after looking at the truck it was the pump hot wire ran to the battery they said it had no breaker I pointed to the breaker and was told it was not in the right place . The service manager Paul was very rude in telling me they were not covering the issue . I've been took the truck to P and H auto electric here in Baltimore. And he came out and looked at the truck and said a bad battery terminal caused this problem and not the X ternal pump hotwire and he proceeded to put a new terminal on the truck he put a new battery in the truck and we were on our way. It seem to me Chesapeake Ford would have gave blood to sell me the truck missed diagnosed the issue when the truck was bought in for this . And proceeded to blame it on everything else but what the real problem was . Chesapeake Ford made it very clear they are not really interested in covering things when it's on them that was clear .

In the meantime my customers for my business have been calling me and set that I don't have enough equipment on the road to do the work I'm contracted to do. 3 days go by I call the Chesapeake ford to check the status of my parts I have been waiting for. They still hadn't even ordered the parts. Thank you for making a bad situation worse by prolonging my breakdown. I make my money by having work trucks on the road not waiting for your sorry parts department to order them. I ended up ordering the part from another dealer and refuse to do business with this dealership in the future. Zero stars for zero service!
