March of 2023 I bought what I thought was a brand new battery from this jiffy lube. When I went for my oil change and car check up at another location less than 5months later, they told me my battery was not good and I should go back to where I got it. I went back they claim they test it and it was fine. Now less than two years later the battery is dead and they say they cant do anything about it because they only offer a one year warrant. No credit towards a new battery....... nothing. The stand life of a battery is 3-5years. Needless to say I went and got a battery from auto zone, they installed it for free, 3-5 year battery life and a 3 year warranty. It was also $36 dollar cheaper than the junk Jiffy Lube sold me. SAVE YOUR MONEY and pick another location. This establishment has alot to learn about honesty and customer loyalty. I will drive to the extra 20minutes to the other location in middle river. Ohhhhh 3 months ago they tried to charge me over 600 to change tire pressure sensors.... they said they couldn't tell which one was bad, so I should change all of them. I took my car and left. Went to a nearby shop within two mintue they told me it was my back left tire but my front right was also giving a low reading. They recommended i change both, but I could wait on the front right if it was not in my budget right now. Needless to say, had all four changed for $260, my tires pressured and a tire tred reading. read more

I've been to this location many times for an oil change. They are always happy to take care of anyone who drives up and thoroughly check everything on each car. They explained to me what my car needs and they don't try to upsell me. All the staff members were fast, friendly, and professional. No issues and quick service (less than 20 minutes). WARNING Do not go Here! Went to get my oil changed and was told I needed a new battery. After I agreed to get the new battery, which took an hour for them to get, all of a sudden there was corrosion on the battery connections that needed to be replaced. All well and good, drove off the lot for much more than I intended to pay. One week after they worked on vehicle, I took my car to get it inspected and it failed due to an incorrect battery size and after looking under my hood I found corrosion covering the connections. Seems like I paid to get the incorrect battery, poorly placed and old connections/wiring, and now I am towing my car that won't start some where other than jiffy lube. read more

My car was jerking for awhile and I did not know what was going on. I took it to Jiffy Lube on Howard Street and they did a tune up and everything was fine. A few weeks later my engine was shaking out of control and making a loud noise. I took it back to the shop and while I was extremely frustrated about the car, the staff were still welcoming and generous with me. The store manager explained to me in a calm and respectful tone what was really going on with my car. The staff along with the manager worked on my car until everything was fix. The nice gentlemen working today informed me that the other location was giving me the wrong sticker for years and I could actually wait to get my oil changed and saved me money. I went to Jiffy Lube on Merritt Blvd for an oil change and told that they do not have synthetic oil. The employees there were 3 clowns who seemed more interested in sitting around laughing and hanging out than servicing my car. I found them to be unprofessional and rude. Pretty much told me to go back to Ritchie Hwy for an oil change. This is not the way to run a business and although I doubt they care, this Jiffy Lube location has not just lost me as a customer but my husband who was quite disappointed in the way these people behaved. If one must go to a Jiffy Lube I strongly suggest they go to a different location. Must be nice to be getting paid for just sitting and clowning around. read more

As far as speed, these guys get 5 stars. I think I was there for a grand total of 10 minutes. I still think $55 is a little pricey for the synthetic oil change..but luckily I had a coupon. Oh shet, my engine light is on! I checked my oil and it seemed low but my oil change from Jiffy Lube was fairly recent. I called to find out if I could stop at the Merritt Blvd location because it was much closer than my last visiting JL location. I arrived and the guys were all nice and friendly. They checked my oil and I obvious had more than I thought. Humph, see how much I know about cars, I checked myself, LOL!!!! I was offered the option to have my engine light checked for $10 so I figured, why not. Turns out, it was my gas cap. The darn thing was too loose. Problem solved. I typically dread taking my car to get serviced because it is inevitable that I will be told I "have to" have several additional things done to my car, and I typically wait for over an hour while my car is worked on. Not here. I took my car for an oil change last weekend and was asked what I wanted done. When I told them that I just needed an oil change, that was it. I went to get my oil changed last night and at 5:30pm, they had me in and out of there in about 15 mins. The staff was really polite and not pushy about the additional services. I just got a tune up in August so I knew that I didn't likely need anything else other than the oil change. Which the owner (who apparently is the youngest franchise owner) confirmed. It was a bit further than going to the ones in the city but I've heard not great things, so I will definitely be returning when I hit my next 3,000. read more

September of 2016 I did not have time to take my car for oil change to my mechanic so I finally and reluctantly took my truck to Jiffy Lube for oil change. They tried to get me to change my differential fluid and change my air filter, however I told them I didn't have time and the air filter was not that dirty so I wouldn't change it out. When I went to get back into the truck I noticed oil prints all over the drivers side door and since it is white, it is very noticeable. Later that day my check engine light went on and I wondered what could they have done to my truck? I took my truck to my mechanic the following week and told them that it came on the same day as I had the truck in Jiffy Lube. They did not think that would be related but later in the day after hours of trying to find the problem, found a kinked hose under the air filter. Took my car to jiffy lube for oil change because they claim to be honest and to do the job right. They stripped my drain plug so now no one will touch my car to change the oil. They will not replace the drain plug or even look at it. The technician told me take it Mr Tire. Shouldve just gone there in the first place! I'm furious they damaged my part and now I have to go to my dealership to have them replace it because incompetent workers rush through and don't even acknowledge they destroyed a simple part. I went to the center for an oil change and was very impressed with the customer service. The staff was very polite and was glad to explain the very details, while leaving the final decision for a customer to make. I was buying the full synthetic oil. When they started filling it from a pump, they realized they were running out of it. Instead of filling the oil tank with the left-overs, they used the bottled oil, which was of higher grade and more expensive brand. They didn't charge me extra for it.
