This place is an absolute disaster. My father took his truck up there to have his rear brakes and a complete brake job. They had his truck for two weeks. He paid $809.12 for the brake job. He picked his truck up and the rear brakes were smoking. He took his truck back up there. They kept his truck another 2 weeks. They broke his master cylinder and there was air all in the brake lines. They would never answer the phone and when they finally did he demanded his truck. So they refunded the money and had a wrecker deliver the truck to the house. They never fixed the truck! My dad and uncle are old and had to do the job. They got it fixed in one day. The whole reason for him taking it up there is because it is getting to hard for them to do things like that. Look Folks, if you go to a tire store for AC work, or anything else but tires, don't expect much. And ALWAYS, Buyer Beware. I had a slow leak in one tire, and knew enough about tires to know all four would need replacing soon. I'd been a driver of many cars for decades, and knew when a tire was wearing unevenly from bad alignment. There was no wool these guys were going to pull over my eyes. Made an 11 AM appointment. By 11:30 they'd found a nail in the sidewall that could not be repaired. Replace/balance all 4 tires for $550.00 on a 2015 Toyota Corolla (after $120.00 rebate). By 1:00 PM I was ready to go. Somewhat Long Time in the garage, but front office service was great. Found alignment was slightly off. I declined the $80.00 realignment (it's good enough). Get'em rotated every 6,000 miles and warranty is still good. read more

Worst tire shop around! Friendly but broke lug and wouldn't take responsibility, scratches two of my wheels. Everything is by appointment only for post tire services that I paid extra for. (Rotations and balance) Can't ever expect to stop in and get anything done. Was told they would check alignment when they installed new tires but they didn't. I will avoid this store at all costs and go to a different Goodyear until these tires are gone. The rebates and 0 interest are enticing but don't be fooled. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! I am a younger woman and hate going anywhere to get my car fixed because they always try to take advantage of me and screw me over. I usually have my dad come with me but this time I did not. I came here with a screw in one my tires only to be eventually told that I actually have TWO in my tire and that they can't repair it. After running the numbers, the manager comes back to tell me that it will be $300 for a single tire but they don't even have it in stock or any similar tire to mine. On top of that they broke my lug nut. I just wanted to go home at this point so I went ahead and told them to go ahead and order the tire which would be there the next day. After leaving and talking to my dad, he said there is no way one tire should cost $300 and I should tell them to cancel the order for my tire because they were definitely trying to screw me over. After doing some research online, I found my exact tire at several tire places in stock near me for only about $160, not including fees. I'm no expert but something wasn't adding up. So, after recommendation from my dad we head over to the Discount Tire in Conroe and I explain to them that I was told I had 2 screws and I wanted to know if they could repair it or how much a new tire would cost me. THEY TOOK A CLOSER LOOK AT IT AND TOLD ME THERE WAS ONLY ONE SCREW IN THAT TIRE AND THEY FIXED IT ALL FOR FREE AND EVEN REPLACED A WORN TIRE VALVE. I can't believe I almost got scammed into paying for a $300 when I got it done for free somewhere else. This place is the reason women HATE dealing with car repair shops! I've gone three times and been messed with all three times. NEVER GOING BACK! First time they put in regular oil instead of synthetic. Really? How hard is that to get right? The second time they had to replace a tire because the nail was on the "side of the tire and couldn't be repairs". Interesting. With the new tire I had a nice $20 charge slipped into the bill for a "Road Hazard Protection" fee. No explanation. No asking if I wanted it. Nothing. I had to argue with them to remove it. The third time (by now I should have known not to return), another nail on the tire. Again, in the side of the tire where it could not be replaced. I was told the "gash was 1/4 inch long". Really? It was a slow leak over days. And isn't it odd that two tires got nails in them on the sides of the tires where they couldn't be replaced? My air-conditioning went out. Just stopped completely one day. I brought my car in early one Saturday morning and waited for a couple hours while they figured out what was going on. Two hours later, they tell me I need to replace my condenser, the receiver/dryer assembly, the hoses, plus evac, recharge, labor, taxes, fees, etc... and SURPRISE, it'll be $1,178 (let's just say $1,200) Baffled, I thought, MAN, I don't have that kind of money just sitting around. And the worst part, they couldn't have parts there for a couple of days. The kind gentleman told me that the parts were ONLY available from Ford and that there aren't any aftermarket parts available... I asked him to tell me again what it needed? I wrote it down. They charged me $100 or so for the "diagnostic" fee and sent me on my way. BTW, they didn't tell me this would be applied to the $1,200 cost...So I assume, out the door, it would have been about $1,300 Later that week, I pulled out my hand-written list. I did a little research and found that the $400 parts they wanted me to buy WERE in fact available in aftermarket forms. It is a 2010 Ford Escape, you know... there are a lot of these cars around. The one from TYC with a lifetime warranty (better than Ford's warranty!) was only about $100! So I bought it. I thought... well, I'll buy all the parts and when I'm ready, I'll pay someone to install everything... Two months later, I find myself needing Brakes and go into a place in the Galleria neighborhood called "Hare Repair" off of I-59, just west of the 610 Loop. I asked the owner, Jim, if he can fix my A/C using a condenser that I purchased myself... he checks his supplier for the other parts, get a quote, and tells me ABSOLUTELY, and it'll be $290. $290!!!! Sure, that's with a condenser he doesn't need to buy, but follow me here on this... it's worth it. I finally have the $290 and I call Jim at Hare Repair and he says "come on in! we'll get you in at the start of your day and it'll be ready before you have to go home!" so I did... About 2:30-3:00pm or so, Jim calls me and says "you know that condenser you have in the car? the one that the Goodyear guys said had a massive hole in it and it wouldn't hold the fluid at all?" I said ... (gulp).. "uh, yeah." Jim says "There's nothing wrong with it! I know you have this brand new part for me to put in, but I don't know how to do business like that. I won't replace a part that doesn't need to be replaced! We put fluid in it, we put dye in the system, we put it on the evac, and left it there for 30 minutes... it's holding everything just fine! come and get your car" SOOOO... Basically, Goodyear is either INCOMPETENT, or they were trying to FLEECE me. It was a good story, Goodyear! It was a good story! Get someone while they're heading into the warm summer months to think their A/C unit is so dead, there's no coming back without a full system replacement, tell them the parts ARE NOT available from anyone but Ford, and at $400 a piece, and then quote several hours of work ... I'm sure glad I've got a brain of my own. I will NEVER go back to this facility. If you want an amazing repair team that will treat you HONESTLY and is reliable, trustworthy, and won't overcharge you... If you want someone you can trust, check out my review of Hare Repair. They are worth the drive. It sucks they're not in The Woodlands, but I think it's better to go a little out of your way for someone that will treat you with a little respect and do an honest job with your vehicle. read more

I have been to this shop four times now. I test them and ask a lot of questions and have several cars to bring in regularly. I live nearby. Finally, I brought my Porsche in and let them loose. Not a big problem, but we can get a lot of trouble at any service shop pretty fast. Within an hour... late on Saturday night.. they got thru my fiddly problem and went beyond my requests. Great job. Now I will trust them. Thanks. Next, they are open on Sundays and Saturdays all day. Right.. so if you need a tire or a battery on the weekend... bring it to them. Priceless. Keep these guys in mind. Stopped in here after continually filling my tires with air. Had previously gone to Take 5 - where they charged me $70 for an oil change and to check my tire that they "didn't see anything wrong with." Goodyear found a nail, patched it, and sent me on my way with a $0 bill. I have never been to a car shop where I got a receipt for $0. I was waiting to hear that I needed brand new tires or hit with a bunch of charges. The store manager was interacting with all of the customers and made for a pleasant experience. This is an interesting experience. The staff is very friendly and pretty professional. But I'm confused by my experience. This is a Goodyear Tire center yet they have almost no tires in stock. Three people with late model vehicles have come in to get tires and all three were told "we have the cheaper version of what you have on your car, but we don't have the tire in your vehicle in stock - it will take 3 days to get them." Early morning, I found one nail stuck on side wall of tire. I went to install 2 tires (previously purchased on Amazon) for my car. I ask for one time tire balance and installation, Manager quote me $95.06 for 2 tire installation cost only. Used to take my car here for everything before I realized what a rip-off it was. I figured that a name-brand like Goodyear would be reliable. Not. Their pricing is way out of line. If you get a quote here, shop around and you will find something way more reasonable. This is one of those places that tries to upsell you on EVERYTHING. They will try to convince you to get things done that don't really need to get done. It is a high-pressure sales environment. All that said, I sort of expect this or similar at a chain auto service place. But what really sent me over the edge is when I took a tire that I bought from them back because it was clearly defective (developed a bulge and started wearing very quickly and unevenly). First, the lady that helped me REFUSED to acknowledge that I had bought the tires there. She told me that they have NEVER sold that particular tire ever before. I argued with her about it for a few minutes before remembering to just pull out the receipt. That shut her up. Then her story changed to "Well that is strange, we never usually carry that tire." Strange indeed. So then she began trying to tell me about how I must've made an emergency stop on the tire and that was responsible for the strange wear and that she'd not be able to give me any kind of refund. The bulge was on one part of the tire and then there was a completely bald spot on one half of the tread on another part. I would remember if I made an emergency stop. At no point had I even had to slam on my brakes. I think I would remember. Not to mention that it does not account for a bulge and does not account for only half the tread on one side to be worn. Anyway, they then refused to honor any kind of refund or warranty, ironically because of how worn the tire was in the bald spot. I was told that they base their warranties on the amount of tread left, and since there was a near complete bald spot on one side of the tire, I was out of luck. "It's policy." The entire time they acted like I was trying to scam them out of money, when in reality I just bought a tire from them that was clearly not a good tire, and apparently not one that they even sell. I have been a regular customer here for years and I was reminded recently why I keep buying tires here and I want to share that experience with you as an example of how this business operates. My college-aged child was home for a visit and had just purchased tires from a Goodyear tire store in the town where she goes to college. One of the tires blew out here in The Woodlands when she bumped a curb and we took the car to this Goodyear store on a Saturday afternoon looking for help. They recognized that the tires the other store sold her were the wrong weight rating and that is why it blew out. Here is where the above and beyond level of service comes in. The manager of the store (Toby) called the other store and talked (rather sternly) to them about their mistake and the risk it put my daughter in. He ensured they would make things right when she got back there on Monday morning, which they did. Since he did not have the right size used tire, he then found her one at another store in the area (remember, this is late Saturday afternoon by now) that she could get put on to get her back to the other store so they could replace the tires and reimburse her for the used tire. When his store closed that evening, Toby stopped by the used tire store to be sure my daughter got the tire and everything was okay before he went home. Needless to say, I will continue to purchase my tires from this store....not because it is Goodyear (there are plenty of other good tires) but because of the type of service provided by Toby. read more
