Beyond the oil change, he gave me a printout of the recommended services for my car (the dealer never gave me anything like that). He checked both the air filters, which were Absolutely Filthy!!! I don't think it's too much to expect a used car to at least have new air filters. Also, when I bought the car and took it on the open road for a 10 hour drive, I discovered that neither the cruise control nor the car charger worked! So, I asked Herald if he thought the charger might just be a fuse. He checked and it was. He fixed it in two minutes or less. I'm not even sure he charged me for that. He was so clearly fully cognizant about all things mechanical, and he emanated trustworthiness like crazy. I usually go to this location anyway, but after yesterday's experience, I'll never go anywhere else.

While one mechanic worked on my oil change, the other put air in my tires. The mechanic walked me through every step which was nice, and at the end, he made sure everything was still working properly in my car. Once it was all complete, he showed me my oil stick to ensure it actually had oil inside. Like I said, really outstanding service. I'm hoping the $53 spent on an oil change, that I don't have to get for another 5,000 miles, lasts long.

On a whim I had stopped to grab a drink at a BP gas station on Mound road and noticed this Mound Quick Lube I parked next to...I could see inside and there seemed to be no other cars ahead of me and it was also a 'stay in your car' type of place which I was definitely hoping to find so I figured I might as well drive in and see what the story is. Simply put, it was really awesome. My oil change was priced better than anywhere I'd checked out including deals from Groupon, and that was after adding on a new air filter and having a full flush of my oil system because of how dirty I'd let me last oil get. Plus, my car was literally completed in about 13 minutes, and they guys were so nice and cool to chat with that I just kept my windows down and chit chatted with them while they hooked me up. It was a slow but steady countdown as the pressure dropped 26, 25...21...16...7. My cell phone was dead, I was running late to pick up my daughter from latchkey and I prayed my tire would make it off the Mound exit ramp. There right off the northbound exit was the Mound Quick Lube. I parked not knowing they could help with my tire and Moe said to pull my car in and they'd patch the tire or put on the spare. I also explained my phone was dead, I needed to find my daughter a ride, and didn't mention I needed to move some $ on my online banking app to even pay them. Al produced a phone charger and handed me the shop phone. These two young guys who co-own the shop were awesome!!! In 25 minutes, they patched my tire, topped off my wiper and transmission fluids, did an oil change, charged my phone, insisted I take a $3+ iced Starbucks mocha drink, let me use their phone to arrange for my daughter to get picked up... and it was less than my last oil change! Moe and Al you were my guardian angels today! Thanks so much - I'm bring you some Girl Scout cookies in a couple weeks to thank you again!

He stated that he would fix the car and have it painted. After calling him at least 12 times the car was returned to me in the beginning of June covered in bird poop and filthy inside with a spray paint job from a can. After the equinox was examined by the Genesis Chevy dealership, they gave me a diagnostic with all of the issues wrong which is posted in review . At this point, my posts about the terrible service are affecting Kouder's business ,so he called me today and threatened to come by my house and hurt me if I don't stop. Please don't deal with this dishonest man, as now I have to file a police report and sue him.
