The company has since came out to fix part of the damage that they caused. We have since worked with another vendor through our home insurance to find that actual leak which was within the shower. The water damage cause has been shown to us and proved through reading with a meter and pictures have been provided where the water is leaking down along our tub out to the specific area of the carpet in our room. It is further confirmed that rainbow restoration immediately assumed the leak was in the wall adjacent to the Carpet. That is when they hammered into the 2 x 4 to check for moisture and punctured that pipe. The water continued to leak after they fixed the damage they caused which led us to finding the actual leak through a very thorough assessment by another company. I will not be changing my review. Unfortunately, through the very poor assessment and not checking that the leak had resolved. We had to move forward with having our Carpet and baseboards fully replaced only to find out that they had only fixed a leak that they created and not the source of the moisture. The source of the moisture runs from the shower throughout the enclosure down the tub line directly to the spot that they took out a chunk of my wall, where we also had to have drywall repaired. Please consider this company and standby during visits to the home. The tech that assisted us was of great integrity and very apologetic for this mistake. It was the management who tried to blame us and say they must have punctured a very rare part of the pipe and made a previous issue larger. We have since proven that to be a lie. *** we also never asked for reimbursement for mold, remediation or anything like that. We asked for reimbursement for displacing our family during Father's Day weekend due to negligence. We did not have a leak issue where we had to move out of the home and shut off the water prior to being serviced by your company. We are actually still dealing with the issue and the leak and the water does not need to be shut off we just do not need to run that shower to stop the water from running. We asked the company to make things right. We ask them to pay for the cost of displacing our family for multiple days into a hotel, the cost of repairing the drywall that they damaged and the pipe that they damaged. We had no issues addressing a moisture situation that was not caused by their company. Please let me know if there is anyone who can get in touch within this company. We have since been displaced from our home after having a tech come out and are in a hotel. Our dog has been in 100 degree weather and the GM first refused ownership when even the tech apologized for the mistake of damaging a pipe and water spewing out. He then reached out appearing to attempt to rectify only to not respond for another night. Please reach out to me if you're in management in Rainbow Restoration and are not Param. I would note the tech that came out was honest, kind, and accepting full responsibility. Erik also came and was very helpful and understood the tech made an error. During Param's conversation on the phone with me he admitted this is rare and he should've went into a 2x4. Our homeowners insurance sent out a plumber to review who said the fracture on the pipe was not companies response on this post to wear in tear but deliberate puncture by force. Everyone is in agreement the tech made a mistake. However, Param is unwilling to accept this is a separate issue from the preexisting issue we called about. The house was not unlivable and we were not displaced prior to working with Rainbow Restoration. The plumber Param sent to my house stated he couldn't find another leak so the tech "probably" punctured the same exact (rare) pipe in the same exact spot there was a leak cause water to spew out and create an emergency situation. We are only seeking for the company to rectify the new problem they have created so our family can move back into our home.

He suggested returning the next day with his supervisor. Meanwhile, the pipe continued to leak throughout the night. The following day, I received a call from the supervisor, who reviewed the nighttime photos and concluded that the pipe was beyond repair. He quoted $4,800 for a full back-flow replacement. I declined the estimate. Instead, I hired a plumber experienced with back-flow systems. They promptly diagnosed and repaired the leak--for just $180. Buyer beware: I will never call Roto-Rooter again.

He shared knowledge to help me better understand the problem, how it gets solved, explained my meter, etc. He was also honest about his authority to change pricing. No matter, he didn't pressure me in any way, but instead assured me on how quickly the problem could be solved. For Robby I give 5 stars. He focussed on service, and this is the only way to win business when it's evident to be overpriced. For Rota rooter as a company, I'd give 0 stars if I could.. Your business model is awful, paying your technicians on commission which makes them sales people, not service people. It also makes rates unreasonable, as if I were one of your technicians, the bill rate impacts my take home pay, so there is no incentive to work on the price which is 2x the competition. This is a perfect storm for a terrible experience with a home owner who is vulnerable due to no running water.

A 60 foot tree fell on our house NYE and the insurance company sent Paul Davis Restoration. I had low expectations for a franchise operation connected with insurance, but they were ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL from start to finish. Nicole managed our claim and is kind, super responsive, and does a great job following up. Nate and Bobby are hard working, polite, cheerful young men who always wear shoe covers inside. After the initial demo, they returned and spent hours in the dark and rain at the start of another storm disconnecting the remains of our demolished pergola from the house so it wouldn't catch wind and rip off our living room wall. The insurance company's reconstruction estimates were ridiculously low, and with the owner Joseph's help, it went up by $45k (to where it should have been to begin with). The insurance company was a nightmare, and in the chaos and overwhelm, the staff at this Paul Davis truly sustained us. They are based out of Stockton, but cover the Sacramento Valley and into the Bay Area as well.

Unfortunately, communication from the project manager, Matt, was disappointing. When I asked him to explain what would happen next, he replied, "Sure," and then sat in silence until I asked if he was going to explain it right then. The explanation I eventually received felt rushed and incomplete, leaving me confused about who was responsible for fixing the plumbing leak versus the water damage restoration. And this was the same with every single question I asked. I understand now that restoration companies typically handle mitigation while a plumber and contractor handle the plumbing repair and reconstruction. However, that should have been clearly explained from the beginning. During a stressful situation, clear communication and professionalism are just as important as the restoration work itself. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience with "project manager" Matt.

We did not even know where to start because there were so many problems happening all at once. Thankfully, our insurance sent Eagle Restoration to our home, and honestly, it was the best thing that could have happened in such a stressful situation. Roman was a light in a very dark tunnel. From the moment he arrived, he explained everything from start to finish in a way that was comforting, relatable, and easy to understand. My husband and I had no idea how much damage water could actually cause. We spent all of Sunday using every towel and blanket we owned and repeatedly emptying our carpet cleaner because we thought we had gotten the house back into decent shape. We were completely wrong. We had no idea how instantly and thoroughly water soaks into laminate flooring, baseboards, cabinets, and even walls. Roman, Ricky, and Rafael came in and got straight to work. Within just a couple of hours, they had the flooring, baseboards, bottoms of the cabinets, and damaged sections of the walls removed. They moved everything for us and somehow made an overwhelming situation look easy. What stood out most was the customer service. Roman explained every next step to us, even the parts outside of his specific job, and reassured us so much that for the first time since the flood happened, we stopped panicking. That level of care and communication means everything when your home feels upside down. Amazing customer service, fast response time, and quality work. We are so grateful for Eagle Restoration and their entire team.

By the time we noticed it, there was a noticeable odor, and we were concerned that mold could eventually develop. Roman was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient throughout the entire process. The work was completed smoothly, and every appointment was kept on time. I would definitely recommend Eagle Restoration to anyone needing water damage mitigation and restoration services.

Professionally, I worked alongside them as a claims adjuster. Out of the many restoration companies I've worked with over the years, ServiceMaster Elite (and I emphasize Elite, because every franchise operates differently) has consistently been one of the fairest and most professional. Their estimates are reasonable, well documented, and if something is missed, they're quick to review it and make the necessary corrections. They don't play games with inflated invoices or try to slip in questionable charges. Instead, they provide thorough photo documentation, clearly explain any supplemental costs, and focus on working collaboratively to reach the right outcome. That level of transparency and professionalism made them one of the easiest restoration companies to work with. On a personal level, what truly sets this office apart is the people. They genuinely care about their customers and treat them like people, not claim numbers. Time and again, I've seen them go out of their way to make difficult situations a little less stressful. They also operate like a family. I'm sure there's the occasional sibling rivalry, what family doesn't have one? It's obvious they support one another and take pride in doing right by the people they serve. If you're looking for a restoration company that's honest, responsive, professional, and genuinely cares about both the quality of its work and the people it helps, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend ServiceMaster Elite.
