When he arrived, I asked him to clean just the living room and master bedroom--both completely empty, no furniture to move. Once he got there, he suddenly claimed the living room would count as two rooms and pointed me to his website. This is a small home in Mountain House, nothing out of the ordinary, but somehow it ended up costing $200, with only a $10 discount. Later, I messaged him to finish the job with two more rooms. He lives in the same town, but he told me it would be a minimum of $150 just to come out again. At that point, it was clear this wasn't about fair pricing--it was about squeezing as much money as possible out of the situation. AJ may do decent work, but the greed is hard to ignore. The way he shifts pricing and inflates charges shows that making an extra buck is more important to him than being honest or fair. I would never use him again and strongly caution others to look elsewhere if you value transparency and integrity.

They seem to answer calls 24/7 and I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. Mike was main point of contact and gave us an estimate and scope of work. Basically, they had to tear out the drywall and insulation from the wet area, dry and dehumidify the area for days, and then put on moon suits and remove any mold. We were able to have 2 techs come on a Friday and then let the dehumidifier run over the weekend. We also had to tear out our upper cabinet since the top was damaged by water. On Monday, they came back to remove any leftover mode and patch things up. The total price came in well below the estimate, which is a huge plus. Very happy with the service and efficiency. If you ever suspect you have water damage from leaks, call these guys and get the problem resolved to ensure mold doesn't form or worst, spread. Note that their services are purely restorative - they'll dry out the water-damaged area and get rid of all the mold. You'll need to hire a plumber first to stop the leaks and then afterwards, a drywall contractor to patch up the holes with insulation and new drywall followed by texturing and painting.

I felt terrible it was so late in day, and it really did throw our evening routine off too. It's now two days later and I have not received a quote back from H&L. During the inspection, he repeatedly told us that he does not do anything other than remediation. So just removal and treatment of impacted areas. Which was fine - we wanted someone reliable who could get it done ASAP! Needless to say, we did not move forward with them - I would be beside myself if I still had to wait to even hear back on a quote with active mold in my wall. We ended up going with a company who was able to come today and remediate, mold is gone, next steps are now in play! So I appreciate they were responsive to my initial request, but that was best part of service, it kind of went downhill from there. I also really do appreciate having a one-stop shop company to do it all - so once remediated, they can bring the other half of the business to do things like dry wall texture, painting - fixing space, etc.

Last night I saw a giant rat run across my garage so now I've paid $3500 to hazmat clean the 1/2 my garage but still have a rat infestation. I'm now working with a rat removal service but before A2Z allowed me to hire them & get in contract they should have advised me to be sure to complete the proper step beforehand of ensuring the rat infestation was resolved. Now i'm out $3500 for an unnecessary garage cleaning and still have a rat infestation. As a new homeowner (or any homeowner) I'd assume a good business would make sure I've done the pre work (in this case rat infestation elimination) before accepting the job. That's in my view a shitty thing to have done to me as the client. Really disappointed because they seemed professional throughout the process. So for this reason of not holistically proactively making sure the proper prep was done I cannot rate this business any higher than a 2 star. I'm not angry I am however very disappointed and feel that I've been tricked. I cannot recommend this business.

Highly recommend Chris and his team to help you out. Very professional and glad It was a good and smooth process coming from horrible situation with water damage. I was looking to replace all the carpet flooring in my newly built home with LVP and found Mario…read morehere on Yelp right away. I decided to give him a try--and I'm glad I did. Mario's knowledge and understanding of flooring is top-notch. My home already had 6mm LVP on most of the first floor, but when we removed the carpet in one of the first-floor bedrooms, I did a calcium chloride test and found the concrete moisture level was much higher than I was comfortable with. After doing some research and discussing options with Mario, we decided to apply Bostik coat to seal the moisture. That made a huge difference. We also added a proper moisture barrier on top, which gave me peace of mind. Given the moisture level in the concrete, I ended up removing the original 6mm flooring too. That turned out to be the right call--when we pulled it up, we discovered the old moisture barrier sheets weren't taped properly, just laid side by side. So we redid the whole floor with Bostik + taped moisture barrier + 8mm LVP. Mario managed to reuse most of the baseboards--only one room needed new ones. While the project ended up a bit more expensive than originally planned, the results look great and I feel confident that the floor will hold up long-term. Mario is super friendly, honest, and goes out of his way to help. Highly recommend him if you're considering flooring work!
