Unfortunately, there are no tigers, but they have elephants lions, red panda no no real pandas just red ones a wide variety of food as well from popcorn to candy. I would recommend to go to the zoo specially The Birmingham Zoo very fine establishment they have a train. It's lovely. It takes you through the entire zoo especially when you go around Christmas. It is zoo light Safari time. I would suggest to go and have a good time.

But the elephants and the monkeys are my kids favorites so we renewed our membership. We always bring snacks and spend our entire morning there, stopping to munch on the grass or at the splash pad. That is, until today. Checking in as normal and the guy insists on searching my cooler bag. First time in two years the cooler bag has even been acknowledged but ok? I'm then told because have shredded chicken for my kids as a snack it's not allowed in. I have to take everything back to my car or I'm not allowed entry. But don't you worry, if I had potato chips or any other unhealthy bagged snacks then that's totally fine to bring in!! If I want to pay for my yearly membership and then go eat in the parking lot I'm totally welcome to do that. How generous! Unfortunately last time I checked I can go eat at just about any park for FREE, I don't pay for a membership to eat in the parking lot. My children have bad allergies so I bring our food pretty much everywhere and I thought the zoo was a safe place but apparently not. We finished our visit (early of course because ya know my kids were hungry and we had to rush through everything so I could trek them back through the parking lot to our exclusive dining spot to eat our contraband chicken) and as I'm walking out the door what do I see?? A man rolling an honest to God IGLOO COOLER. ROLLING IT. Full of seed oil fried Cheese Puffs I'm sure!! So idk if the gate keepers were just on a power trip today and felt like they wanted to discriminate against children with allergies or what, but I'll definitely be considering this experience when/if I renew next year. If you're considering a membership for your children, the McWane has never one time given me an ounce of issue about bringing food in, just saying.

And yet…read more Mother's Day at Topgolf Birmingham -- sunshine, bays full of laughter, cold drinks, the satisfying thwack of a well-struck ball. We were deep into the fun when hunger hit, and I'll be honest: when we picked up the menu, our expectations for the food were somewhere between "stadium nachos" and "edible." We ordered anyway. What arrived changed the conversation entirely. The patty melt. Let me walk you through it. A genuinely great burger -- thick, juicy, seasoned with the confidence of someone who actually cares -- blanketed in a molten combination of American and pepper jack cheese. Caramelized onions, slow and sweet. A secret sauce that earns its mystery. Crunchy, creamy slaw for contrast. And then, the move: served on upside-down buns, which sounds like a gimmick but lands as genius -- the toasted crown becomes the base, the structure holds, every bite stays together. This is a burger built by someone who has thought deeply about burgers. The fries matched the moment. Hot, seasoned properly, zero complaints. Service was leisurely -- this is Topgolf, not a drive-through, and the kitchen is clearly cooking with intention rather than speed. On a perfect outdoor day with good company, the wait registered as background noise. The vibe here is already the whole point: fresh air, laughter echoing across every bay, people genuinely having fun together. The food used to be the footnote. The patty melt just became part of the headline. A rare, unreserved 10/10. Fries -- Mother's Day Visit

I thought that it was interesting that the apartments below the trail had stairs leading up to the trail. Nice benefit to living in the area. I noticed a few of the residents heading up and down the trail with their dogs. Yes, this is a pet friendly trail with waste bins along the trail. The trail seems well maintained without being manicured. The overgrowth of brush is seen along the path without impeding the trail. The views over the city is great when walking, running or walking is nice. Great trail for bike riding, leisurely walks or increased cardio workouts. Bring your kids, pets and or family to capture some city views and get in a good workout. I will be back, definitely wearing a hat! The sun is bright up there!!

I saw several people walking along, a couple joggers and one person with a dog. Everyone was polite and respectful. I did have a gentleman stop and warn me about a man that was up the trail a bit that could potentially be troublesome or make me uneasy. I really appreciated him warning me and telling me to be safe. Aside from that, I had no concerns walking the trail alone. I took in all the beautiful city views and the random flowers along the way. I do wish it was kept up a bit better, however. There are downed trees that have been cut but not cleared, a trash can fallen over, etc It's a great place to get some movement in and take in the views!
