We sat at the bar and got Zack, who was easily one of the best parts of the visit. He was chill, helpful, and gave honest food insight without trying to upsell. Ask for him if you go. My drinks? * Crushed Pineapple Martini - smooth, not syrupy, with an actually-fresh pineapple wedge * Heatwave - tequila, citrus, jalapeño, tajín rim. Bold but balanced. My dining partner had the Pomegranate followed by the Lychee Martini -- floral and light, with a soft dessert finish. Food-wise: * Bang Bang Shrimp leaned saucy (mayo-forward), but still came out hot and seasoned. Not my go-to texture, but my partner liked them. * Mussels Josephine were the real win -- buttery, garlicky white wine broth with fresh tomato, herbs, and tender mussels. Every shell opened, every bite flavorful. Served with surprisingly good bread and herbed oil that wasn't just decoration -- it actually tasted like something. My dining partner had never tried mussels before and ended up loving them. Said the texture fell between shrimp and lobster -- tender and briny in the best way. Would I go back? Yes. Not because it was flashy, but because the food was hot, the prices were fair, and the experience felt easy and intentional. Sometimes that's all you need. Polaris location - sat at the bar Monday visit around 12:30 PM $5 martinis until 9PM Mondays (confirmed) Ask for Zack. Tell him Jess sent you.

Bartender got us water and menus pretty quickly despite being busy. Ordered drinks and he got those mixed right away. Place was busy but quiet. Nice atmosphere for an easy dinner out. The chicken sandwich and tots were good. Order a side of the hot honey sauce for dipping- you will be pleased. My wife liked the salad but that is what she always orders. Nice place.

People in our group ordered the Ribs, Salmon and a burger...those were all fine. The Breakfast Sandwich..egg, bacon and cheese biscuit..or a BLT..anything with Bacon..avoid...unless you like it undercooked and limp. The manager, lied right to my face when she brought me new well done (as I originally asked for) bacon. She said..it looks like less bacon because it's cooked more well done!! What a stupid thing to say!! Do you think I'm an idiot and can't count??!!! She took away about 8 pieces of limp bacon and brought me 2.5 crispy pieces!!! Then..by the time all that happened..my obviously microwaved biscuit had turned to stone..couldn't eat it at all. My server said that her manager told her to charge me full price! I refused to pay $18 for something I couldn't eat. Eventually, after some arguing..we got it taken off the bill. No apologies, no other concessions...nothing! My daughter had the exact same issue with her BLT. She was charged and paid for nothing. After that experience..they lost 2 customers and more to follow I'm sure. Do they care? Not bloody likely. They will be going under soon unless they make changes quickly.

Came here when my first choice nearby was closed for the day. I'd heard a ton of good things about…read moretheir other location, of course, and meant to go eventually but forgot this one was here. Tiny, carryout only, though there are a couple of tables to sit while you wait or maybe to eat a quick lunch. Super friendly staff. Fairly short menu; all the good stuff. I wasn't famished and didn't want to wait for chicken or fish, so I got an assortment of sides thinking that would be quicker. They fried up the okra right then, though, and had a steady stream of pickup orders coming through the door, so it still took 10-15 minutes. It was okay, though, smelling the amazing scents coming from the kitchen, talking to the staff and customers. I hadn't noticed they have ribs (just a picture, not on the menu) so I might've ordered those. Oh well. $20 I think, or they do combos with sides or fish and sides. Anyway. I got fried okra, and it was a big portion and absolutely amazing. No need for any sauces, tasty on its own. Perfectly crisp. Baked beans: my style, sauce so thick you can eat them with a fork. Slightly sweet, mostly savory, very good. Greens (collards) with turkey: outstanding. Tender but not floppy, nicely seasoned. Cornbread: soft, sweet, crumbly, topped with butter. Yum. Geechee rice: seasoned, bacon and sausage, very good. And black-eyed pea salad. I like black-eyed peas but had never had them in a salad. These were great: plump, with bits of tomato and cucumber and onion, in a vinegary dressing. Again, yum. Enough food for two meals. They gave me the side plate special, three sides and cornbread, which helped with the price. I was headed home and not thirsty so I didn't get a drink, but based on conversations with other customers I missed out on the lemonade and sweet tea. I'll be back for those and maybe a rib-fish combo. And to try the mac. Get here if you can!

It had been awhile since we've visited this Westerville staple, and will be a good while longer…read morebefore we get back again. Wasn't terrible. We were seated quickly in the late afternoon on a nice Saturday, which was surprising. The service was good. The food was just so-so. My wife got the fish and chips. It came with 2 decent sized filets, but one was very thin and the other was thick-sort of looked like a processed piece with a hand-dipped one. Steak fries were nicely done. She got a cup of clam chowder which was fine. I ordered chicken wings with a lemon pepper rub and a side of fried mushrooms. The wings were ok in size, but very dry, grilled a bit too long and the rub had no flavor to speak of. The mushrooms, though, were very good! Our big complaint was about a drunken group of bar crawlers who were seated in the very front of the dining area, carrying their own drinks and loudly slurring like they'd just walked into a honkeytonk, dropping F-bombs and disrupting the atmosphere. The manager soon arrived to take away their outside drinks but then did nothing to inform these adults that they were in a family restaurant, not a reception hall. Their obnoxious noise drove us to finally take the rest of our food to go. It was disappointing that this issue wasn't quashed immediately. For the price, we don't recommend the place.
