Kinda creepy considering they sell baby stuff here. But speaking of selling baby stuff, there are items here that also are definitely not appropriate for young children and it's pretty mixed in throughout the store with stuff that clearly is for children, so be very cautious with that if you bring your kids in here. I kinda think the adult items and kids items should be separated.

I almost had a 4-star experience today... almost…read more Once again, I was in search of specific themed party props, etc. I knew no one else would have what I was looking for, but Party City always seems to pull through in those dire situations. I will say that I found almost everything I was looking for! I asked the help of a kind employee who just so happened to walk me over and point out the last of something I needed. Hells yes. Unfortunately the first employee I asked for help was an uninterested teenager too bothered to leave her "post"... womp, womp. After my great experience finding all sorts of great stuff (for cheap), I descended on the check-out. There was one, inefficient teenager (again) ringing out an older lady and was arguing with her over the price of gift bags. Then, that lead to someone cutting in front of me and then continued on with everything imaginable going wrong with the order. Oh yes, price tag arguments, register out of tape, girl waiting for new tape, girl trying to figure out how to insert tape, tape inserted wrong--you get the drift. 10 minutes later, the nice gentlemen who helped me in the first place took me over to a new register to ring out my cart (thank GOD.) I ended up leaving well before the old lady did. So, Party City still sits at 3 stars. They need to make sure all their employees are on their customer service game and not just one of them.

On Friday evening we stopped in to order three dozen balloons for a baby shower taking place Sunday…read moreafternoon. The sign at the counter says to order ahead if you need balloons for Saturday or Sunday because you could otherwise wait an hour for balloons to be inflated. Anyhow we followed the instructions and placed our order to be ready on Sunday at 12:30. When we arrived we did not see our balloons anywhere. There were supposed to be three bags for us (1 dozen per bag), but the only pre-made order there was a two bag order. We asked at the counter and were initially handed the two bag order, but we told them that a bag was missing. They pulled the tag on the two bag order and it was not ours. A whispered discussion between the employees behind the counter brought the realization that the three dozen balloons had been sent with the customer who ordered two dozen. They called the person who had our order and asked her to come back with the balloons. We waited about 10 minutes for her to return. The employee asked us to sign the pick up slip before our balloons had been returned, but we told them that we would be more comfortable waiting and signing when our actual balloons were there to pick up. The employee was very apologetic to the woman who had to bring the balloons back, but not very concerned about us. Anyhow we did end up with the right balloons eventually and they were nice. So I guess over all the service and attention to detail in the face of more than one order was lacking but the finished product was fine. Be sure to double check your order if you order ahead or you may end up with the wrong thing.
