You can truly tell the owner loves what he does and genuinely cares about the quality of the food and the experience his guests have. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Our ratings: * Oysters: 10/10 * Caesar Salad & Fresh Bread: 10/10 -- both were so fresh and the perfect start to the meal! * Meatballs: tender, juicy and flavorful. 10/10 * Lobster Ravioli: 10/10 * Chicken Francese: lemony and perfectly cooked 9/10 * Chicken Parm: 7.5/10 -- the chicken was really good, but the pasta was just okay * Dominican Churrasco: 9/10 * Calamari: 10/10 -- super fresh and the sauce had great flavor * Coconut Flan: 9/10 * Pork Chop: 9/10 -- MASSIVE and so flavorful! The mashed potatoes were okay, but the pork chop itself was excellent. * Seafood risotto: 8/10 -- good flavor, fresh seafood, good portion rice was a bit overcooked. Overall, such a great experience and definitely a place we'd come back to. The attention to detail and genuine hospitality really stood out. Highly recommend!

The veal was delicious, the pasta and sauce ok. Two others had the chicken Marsala subbing mashed for oven roasted potatoes. They both loved it. Death by chocolate dessert was not great. Our waitress had an off night but other servers seemed very attentive. Everyone was friendly. The entrees were served hot and rated at least four stars.

Take me back to Providence, Rhode Island. This restaurant just made its way to my Top 10 favorite…read morerestaurants and yes, I will travel 3000 miles for their food! We were hungry then found this place while we were looking for a place to eat. Totally unplanned, just wanted to get a bite to eat. This restaurant is located on Broad St (busy street) next to McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, and other places to eat. I'm so glad we walked into this establishment. My boyfriend and his younger brothers are Puerto Rican. They asked me if I've ever tried Mofongo. I've always wanted to try it, so I ordered the Mofongo with chicharron. Best decision ever. What it is, is mushed up plaintains mixed with Pernil (Puerto Rican slow roasted pork). Then topped off with chicharrones. It also came with a red sauce (not spicy) and a white sauce. It was so good: The ladies working there at the time were very friendly too. There is a bathroom inside for customers only and a lot of tables to sit. You just sit yourself. Can't wait to come back to Providence just for this restaurant. I'm hooked!

As I was waiting for my food to be packaged the kitchen staff was still filling the hot trays out front with more hot fresh food and it was already like 6pm. Plenty of tables to sit and enjoy but I just pick up quick which is easy in and out. Can be a bit pricey but you get a good amount.

I had a last minute invite this morning to join a friend's reservation. I have heard great things…read moreabout this place but hadn't had the opportunity to visit yet. So it was an easy yes, to say the least! When I arrived, I walked around the corner to the entrance on Rochambeau. The waiting area inside is bright, colorful, decorated with some personal tokens, assorted cookbooks and accolades. You can just see into the kitchen and suddenly the chef and owner, Milena Pagán will appear over the cafe style doors to greet you and get you checked in for your reservation. Highly recommend a reservation if you plan to come on the weekend. The place was busy! We were taken to our spots at the bar and greeted by Milena's partner, Darcy. He took care of us from start to finish. I could not resist the brunch prie fixe menu for $45. What a steal. An entree, house made pastry, juice/coffee/tea and one of the house cocktails. I chose the shakshouka, a cardamom knot, the guava-pineapple fizz and the rebujito. I also added an iced horchata latte because I was at brunch after all! We had our drinks and pastries in front of us quickly. My juice was refreshing, tangy and just a hint of sweetness. I love guava and this was exactly what I wanted. The latte was simple but effective, hitting the spiced notes you want from horchata with the depth of good espresso to back it up. The latte in particular was delicious with the cardamom knot, the two harmonizing together for a moment of heaven on this rainy Sunday afternoon. The outside of the knot was caramelized in spots adding this great crunch and the inside was soft like a cinnamon bun. My friend mentioned it was one of her favorites and I can see why! When the shakshouka came out, the smell hit me first. Warm tomatoes, the herbs from the chimichurri, and the tostones fresh from the pan. The presentation is beautiful, inviting you to dig in immediately. I of course opted for the smashed avocado upgrade and they thoughtfully plated it on the side. I like to taste everyone together so I added it to my skillet, and began eating the dish using my tostones as my utensil. It was amazing. All those smells I mentioned before played through beautifully in the tasting. It was one of the best dishes I've ever had. My only wish was for more tostones but I know if I had asked for an additional side, they had that as an option to take. I'll make sure to do that next time! The rebujito cocktail was something I hadn't tried before so I was looking forward to it. It felt like the kind of drink you have on a hot summer day. Similar to a mojito, but with good sherry as the base alcohol instead of rum. As a side note, I think it's an incredibly clever to create a cocktail menu around sherry when you have a beer and wine license. Using a fortified wine? Brilliant. But after my experience here today, I know that brilliance is in every brick of that space. If you were like me and haven't made the trip to this spot on the corner of Hope and Rochambeau, please fix that ASAP! I can't wait to go back, and bring all my friends and family here so they can share in what I enjoyed today. Just an incredible meal and service.

Still would get again. They say they have a 1 hour seating time, so we were a little worried when we got there at 10:30 for our reservation but didn't get seated till 10:40. However we did end up finishing within the hour - I'm not totally sure how strict they are about that rule. They also have the kitchen right where you wait to get seated, which just added to the hunger and anticipation

They've remodeled the interior since I had seen it last, and I really like the paradise-like vibe they portray. The open air environment was neat, but it was a little hot that night. They also had live music and entertainment, so that was enjoyable. My only complaint there is that it was very loud, difficult to hear conversations at the table. Our serve was super friendly, gave excellent details about each special and took his time with our table. Very personable. I ordered the Salmon Aymara and it was delicious! The salmon was cooked nicely and seasoned with some really tasty spices. Asparagus was the vegetable of the day, which is one of my favorites, and that paired with the chaufa rice and béarnaise sauce made for an amazing combination of flavors. Overall, I loved the dish and the atmosphere, and will definitely return! Hopefully sooner rather than later!

I have been wanting to try Los Andes and was thrilled to finally pay it a visit…read more We sat in the courtyard patio, which was absolutely lovely. The ambiance (and the service) is the star of the show at Los Andes. The relaxing South American music, the koi pond, the hum of happy diners all contributed to a lovely atmosphere. Our server was a true delight, very attentive, making great recommendations. We did not order desert but one of our party had a birthday and when we informed him we had no room for desert he brought out a plate with happy birthday drizzled in chocolate with a small mound of whipped cream and a strawberry. A very nice touch. I ordered a steak dish with the goal of getting as many South American flavors in my dish as possible- it came with a delightful cold salad, very good chimichurri, fried yuca, and a side of cheesy rice. The steak was cooked rare to my liking, which isn't always the case. It was a lot of food, beware. We started with some empanadas- which were also good, and this made it a Thanksgiving level feast. My party also enjoyed their dishes. Overall it was a lovely dinner! We look forward to returning.
