We bought a 2024 XC60 SUV. Totally new to the brand. A used car brought us in at the beginning, but we ended up looking at a new one. The test drive was smooth and felt luxurious and solid. The vehicle is laid out comfortably with tons of leg and shoulder room. Lots of tech and amenities. The showroom had a quiet, zen-like quality. Color me impressed. I recently inquired on a Volvo they have for sale and was paired with Haley as a sales associate. She was kind, extremely helpful, and made the entire process as stress-free as possible. I've dealt with lots of Volvo dealerships in the past (I've owned three Volvo's), and I was most impressed with the sales team here. Sadly, I live in Seattle and the sale didn't work out on my end (the added time and cost of flying out and getting it or shipping it to me was too high on top of the actual car). I have been looking for a new Volvo xc60 for a while and thought I would check out Carfax to help me find one. Mr. Birge emailed me right at 8am on Monday morning and sent me more pictures of the car and was super helpful. He was extremely patient and not pushing at all which I appreciated since sometimes people can be too pushy! My mom is a cheap accountant so sometimes she's hard to work with since she wants the best deal. Dan was so polite and professional and worked with us to get a deal that we were both happy with. Not only does Gorges sell arguably the finest automobile on the planet, their service and support staff are without peer! I bought an XC70 in 2010 and the salesperson told me I would discover it to be the finest motorcar I'd ever owned. No brag, just fact. I also own a german turbo car (Audi) and I would sooner take a beating than take it to the Audi dealer in Omaha. Purchased a used VW at Gorges less than two weeks ago. I have but about 600 miles on it so far. The first time (only time so far) I stopped to put gas in, I discovered the release on the gas door is broken. After messing with it for about 45 minutes I was able to get it open sliding a credit card in the side. Good thing since the car was on empty. I called the sales person to see if it was covered under a limited warranty, of course not. They actually suggested I take it to a VW dealer. Today check engine light is on. The in transits still in the window and I have not even made the payment. I have not called Gorges back, I will just take it to another dealer and have it thoroughly inspected. My wife and I are full-time realtors and although I drive a large truck, my wife needed a reliable car, with good lease terms, while also being family friendly. Having never owned one, Mike was patient with all my car questions and never pressed for a sale. Finally, when the time came to put my wife in a new car, we looked at BMW and Volvo, and simply couldn't get a better lease on a great car that met all our requirements and then some! The dealership has always been very good to us, and the service since the lease 2 years ago has been fine although like most Volvo's we never seem to need anything but normal scheduled maintenance. Avoid at all costs! The service department is horrible, extremely rude and provides no service. I recently purchased a used Volvo and it has a vacuum leak. The forums I found are talking about it being a recall, so I called to see the status on the car. When I gave them my VIN and asked about the recall, I was told that it was not a recall, they don't have recalls, it was a TSB and the car was outside the limits for their service. When I asked if it was the original part or if it was previously repaired, they refused to answer that. So I have no idea if their replacement part is also a failing piece. Or if my car has the replacement part. When I asked about the replacement part since it's very easy to replace with proper tools, I was told it was not something they would sell without first inspecting the car. Well, that's what Ebay is for, and it's probably cheaper anyway. read more

This dealer truly delivers the best value in luxury vehicles and very personalized customer service. Our salesman Dan encouraged us to test drive more cars than we wanted to because I had already picked out what I saw online. At the end I'm very glad he did because I could have found something that fit me better and it also allows me to know that I picked the best one for me. The entire staff is very professional and process is faster than most. I was offered a price 8-9 grand below asking right off the bat so there was no negotiation involved and that was the least hassle I've ever had in buying a car and I buy a new one every 2-3 years. I love my new 2017 Volvo S90 Momentum T6 so much that I had my employer get me a rental car just so I don't drive my too much. I've never had that kind of love for a vehicle in the past but then again I've never had a Volvo either. It truly is amazing! We were contemplating on either a mid to full sized Toyota and a luxury car. In two weeks I test drove the 2017 Toyota Avalon which was not impressive. Better than my Prius but not a "wow" factor there. Then we started looking at luxury vehicles. We knew they cost more but in the end it's something that we've worked very hard and had discussed this off and on for a few years. It was always "when we get to this place in life then we'll do it" but since I'm a workaholic I had to be pushed by the fact that my 16 year old got her license and she is taking my 2015 Toyota Prius. I test drove BMW and Porsche and my impression is yes those were very fine cars but I didn't feel like I had to have one and paying close to 100k for what caught the eye was too much. Then after I saw my S90 in Volvo's show room, I looked at her before test driving and I just had the feeling that it belonged to me. This car is so much value. We got the best deal ever and just amazing amount of car and luxury for the price! I am spreading the word around and I can't see myself driving anything else rather than a Volvo now. On August 5th I had a 1:30 apt to look at a Volvo. Appointment was set, we were driving from out of town, had a description of the car and I was excited. We pulled up and the car that I was described was pulling away with a family in it. It was explained to me that someone else decided they wanted it so the promise to me to even look at it was taken away. This to me says that these folks have no ethics and their word can not be trusted. There are lots of car dealers out there don't trust these guys. BEWARE. read more

Not sure how the other posts ended with such an experience---because mine has been very different. To put it simply---my wife and I are very impressed with this dealer! Bought from them a used S-80 last year with 85,000 miles--dealer-certified. The price adverstised was perfect and at no point did we have double-cross or high pressure sales. I know other folks may disagree with me--but you don't buy a used car and expect it not to be close to having tear and wear things surface faster than a new car(Ex: emblem peel off, brake pad wear, engine tuning, etc). Any doubts: My other car is a used SAAB that I bought from another dealer and still drive at 215K miles. That makes for a good story in another forum and with a good pot of coffee nearby. On our S-80: Make no mistake about it--Gorges is a dealer that stands by their product. For the few minor quirks that this high mileage car brought (the car has NEVER left us stranded), the dealer stood right behind the product unconditionally, and made the repairs at no charge---just as promised at the time of the sale! Seems to me that they take the Volvo reputation very serious AND personal---and they make sure that their customers don't forget what their product stands for! Even with a used Volvo---any time we approached them--there were no excuses and no insulting your intelligence. It appears for them it has to work as promised and to OUR complete satisfaction. Oil changes were done and continue to be done promptly and efficiently--the car returned to us in "showroom-condition" every time. This is our second Volvo--and can't say enough good things about these vault-solid machines. Bought a new Volvo years ago from another dealer in another state. Moved to NE, just down the road from Gorges. Had some repairs needed covered under warranty. Had this same issue with the car before moving to NE and knew the routine. I specifically asked them to make sure my personal property was returned once the part was repaired. Was told it would take over 6 months. After about 9 months, I inquired and it seems my property was sent to Sweden with the defective part. I was offered $15 to compensate. Not only was this unreasonable, due to the personal attachment to the property, but I never received the compensation. I've been toying with buying another Volvo, because I particularly like the vehicles, but certainly don't want to deal with the dealership again. Still a bad taste even though this happened over 8 years ago. Just thinking of it now again because I really really really want to buy another Volvo. read more
