I was quoted $195 for a 4-bedroom cleaning. Krystal walked into our home without introducing herself, which I find rude and unprofessional. She tried to build up the price to almost $455. She added ​on a $95 surcharge for a 'pet treatment' which I understood and said I had no problem paying for. However she wanted to charge us for 2 rooms because one of the rooms were on the larger end. I told her I don't think that is fair as we were quoted $195 for 4 rooms. If the size of the room mattered she should have asked the right questions or asked for pictures so she could give an accurate quote. It's not the homeowners responsibility to ask these questions. She used a low quote to get in the door and then tried to squeeze us for extra money. I told Krystal we did not want to use her services anymore and we will find another company. read more

Usually when you receive mediocre to poor service, you caulk it up to getting what you paid for, but when you pay the same overall price as other major carpet cleaning company rates, then it's a poor value. To be fair, she was responsive and available next day so if you're under a tight timeline, then maybe this is an option. However, the quality of work is mediocre at best and less than satisfactory for the amount of time spent cleaning the carpet and price for the service. I was quoted $190 estimate over the phone which included a Groupon-equivalent "deal" pending walkthrough. I provided as much information as I could over the phone including number of bedrooms, hallways, and staircases as well as some drywall dust and potential latex paint overspray. During arrival/walkthrough there were just fees upon fees. 'There's a $25 travel fee to come out to your place' 'Oh you didn't mention you had a 15sf walk-in closet - costs extra.' 'Oh you didn't mention that your carpet wasn't on the first floor, that usually costs extra but I can waive that' 'Oh and I need to receive full payment before starting any kind of work because you're not here in person' So the $190 quote quickly balloons to almost $250 - which is actually more than regular rates from other professional large carpet cleaning companies. The kicker is, for this price, she only spent an hour cleaning. 2 bedrooms (with a walk-in closet), a hallway and 2 staircases with stains - 1 hour. The results were subpar, in my opinion. She barely got much of the drywall dust and paint overspray off the areas that I was most concerned about. The rest of the carpet had little difference before vs after the treatment. A residential grade $200 hoover carpet cleaner would have gotten the same results. I called the painter afterwards and he came by with a brush and a bucket of soap and water. He got the paint stains off the carpet in 20-30 minutes with some old fashioned elbow grease. read more

I searched online for a carpet cleaning company. It is difficult to know who to trust to do a good job. I called and spoke to 3 different companies and then decided on Got Carpets? Due to various circumstances I had to reschedule 3 times but Kyrstal worked with me on a final date. She took me through the process of working up an estimate and explained the charges. She estimated our house would take 1 1/2 hours to clean. We also had a water outlet that she needed to use. Krystal arrived on time and we reviewed the job. She got to work and we went to run errands. We returned in an hour and a half and Krystal was just finishing up. We checked her work and the carpets looked better than they did when we moved in this time last year. There was only one stain that concerned me but it came out with no hint it had ever been there. We had this company scheduled on two straight days. The first day, they said they would be 4 HOURS late and would need to reschedule. The second day, they were 1 HOUR late (total of 5 hours over 2 days). They never called either day to say they were running late. I had to call their main number and speak to the receptionist who didn't have any idea where the crew was or when they might get to my place. I had to specifically ask her to call the crew for an ETA. Despite this horrible customer service, we really needed our carpets cleaned within a tight deadline, so we stuck with them even though they clearly did not care about customers in the least. When the crew finally showed up on the 2nd day (1 hour LATE), the main person (Krystal) was angry and belligerent. After walking through the house, she asked me what the agreed upon price was for the job. When I told her the price that had been agreed upon via multiple emails with the company, she started shaking her head and said, "No, no, no, no. You're not getting your carpets cleaned for that price. No way." Wow, really? That's how you talk to a customer in their home? Krystal kept saying that I needed a coupon, which was never mentioned in the 10 or so emails I exchanged with the company. And when I asked her for the "real" price (without whatever coupon she was talking about), she gave me a price that was $200 MORE (!!) than the agreed upon quote. Upon hearing the NEW price, I declined their services and Krystal went out of her way to angrily stomp out of my house before SLAMMING my front door behind her. If you want a company that shows up late without calling, has horrible customer service, and tries to make you feel threatened, demeaned and uncomfortable in your own home, then Got Carpets has you covered. read more

She consistently gets the stains and any odor out. When she's finished the carpet looks great, smells nice and cleans up much more easily after his accidents. Krystle is a pleasure to work with. I was referred to GotCarpets by a friend who has been using them for a years and I was amazed at how clean her carpets were. Anyways I had used two other services from Groupon and Angie's list in the last and was very unhappy with them. One of them was just terrible, it actually left the carpet dirtier and other barely cleaned it. The tough frequently used areas were still brown. Never using Groupon again. I scheduled time with Crystal at GotCarpets and picked the 5 room special deal. I had an accident a few days ago and my son had sprayed glue all over one room carpet. Didn't have much expectation to be honest based on my past experience. Crystal showed up on time. She went around the house quickly seeing what I needed to get done. She spent about 2 hours doing my house and spent quite some time with the carpets with spray glue on it. At the end it looked good and clean but since the carpets were still wet I couldn't tell much (again based on past experience once they dry the the real picture emerges). She offered me a 30 day warranty on her work (I got the protection layer also put) and she left. When I got back home in the evening I was AMAZED at the dry carpets. They were like NEW. I kid you not even the heavy traffic areas that the previous two chaps failed to clean was now WHITE. I thought it was a trick and may last just a day but it's been a week and it's still clean! Whatever she did Works and works great. Anyways the reason I wrote this review was because a day later the room with the spray glue on the carpets still had just a little bit of glue left over in a patch that hadn't completely come off (that was the center of the carnage). I called Crystal and she returned back here today and did the room again for free. The warranty actually works!! I'm sold on her service and quality. When I called to schedule my appointment, the attendant was very kind and able to schedule me the same week, with my choice of several time slots. On the day of my appointment, the technician called me half an hour before arriving to let me know when she would get here. Upon arrival, she quickly assessed my rooms, made some suggestions, and then began working. It took about a little over an hour (from pull-up to drive-away) to clean the 3 rooms, staircase, and hallway. The results were fantastic! Even some very dark spots were completely gone! The whole experience was very efficient, easy, and affordable. I would like to start by stating that there are many carpet cleaning deals on Groupon so the fact that you chose to do business with one entity out of the many should go for something. Got Carpets has a great receptionist but the owner/operator is a totally different personality altogether. Overall, I was displeased. The owner/operator arrived late and has a snappy/aggressive personality, I still have many stains (which is a first), and will need to pay another carpet cleaning company to clean once more. I really wanted to support the black small business community; however, I would highly recommend avoiding this company. I called and scheduled an appointment with Got Carpets? about a month ago after inquiring an estimate to have my home cleaned. I called the company after seeing a living social deal for 5 rooms for $105. When I called I informed the employee that I had a three bedroom home with a walk in closet in the master bedroom, living/dining room combo and a stair case with a small hallway. I was told that with the living social deal they would clean the 3 bedroom, living room and dining room. They would charge an extra $22.50 for the stair case and they would not charge to clean the hallway. When I asked about the master bedroom closet they said there was no additional charge for cleaning closets. I had someone else let them in my home (I was at work). When I got home from work, I found a $70 receipt and that my master closet had not been cleaned. I promptly called to enquire about the charges and the closet not being cleaned. When I first called, I was told they would call back in 10 minutes and find a way to correct the issue. Then when I was called back I was told that my husband (it was a friend) told them not to clean the master closet and that stairs were an additional 37.50 and the hallway was 22.50 and the landing downstairs was an additional 10. I will admit I forgot to mention the landing during the estimate call, so I am not upset that I was charged for this area, but the additional $15 charge for the stairs and the $22.50 for the hallway I was told I would not be charged for. I was also told when I called that it would have been an additional $17.50 for the closet to be cleaned (and its small). The employee who called me back about the charges was rude and began to yell when I tried to ask questions. Also, when I asked to speak to a manager I was hung up on. I had my friend call from his phone and get the owner on the phone so I may speak to them. The owner did not seem to care that I was charged for items outside my estimate and said my husband (again my friend) said not to clean the closet. She apologized about the rude employee but did nothing about the additional charges. She said no additional discounts or compensation would be given because I used a living social coupon and had already received a discount.
