Approximately a year ago I had used A Plus - I was in the hospital for emergency life saving surgery - and due to my health - I was not allowed to leave the hospital and had to leave my dogs alone for almost 24hrs - please understand - my leaving my dogs was NOT due to neglect - I was a day - 2 days at the most from dying - my situation was CRITICAL and the Drs stated if I left the hospital there was a very STRONG possibility that I could die driving home to get my dogs - my fear of dying was overwhelming to say the least and the thought of possibly dying driving home to get my dogs and possibly injuring/killing anyone in a car accident was not something I could risk... Unfortunately, one of my friends was not able to get to my dogs until the following day and she was aware of how dire my situation was - Needless to say, I knew that my carpeting was going to be hit with the dogs 'accidents'... About a week after my surgery I started to call around for a carpet cleaning company that would be willing to do the work without gauging me in the pocketbook... I found Alex at APlus - He was extremely kind and compassionate to my situation - He was willing to work with me in every aspect - I had never forgotten... And when I FINALLY came home - my carpets looked incredible and there was ABSOLUTELY NO 'ODOR' lingering... It was a HUGE relief to me! I reached out to Alex again, literally today, regarding a cleaning... He remembered me from the initial job and from previous conversations... How many companies will 'remember' you? Now I will not go into what we've discussed and agreed to... But, I will say this... For a company in today's era that is willing to GO ABOVE and BEYOND and TRULY helps a person and put's the customers needs before their own profits - Speaks VOLUMES... I'm old school and you are only as good as your word, a handshake means something... I can only go by the work he had done for me previously and I was very happy with results... But, the absolute generosity in helping a person in my situation, (I'm sorry I do not wish to elaborate), gives me renewed faith that there are still Companies like APlus who truly care about their Clientele... I waited five days after work was done to write this so any temporary effect would pass...you know how sometimes carpets look great right after while drying, then a few days later when dry, stains reappear and you see the work was shoddy - surely NOT the case with this work!) He went around the house and said that we had 10 areas and 32 stairs. He also had some blue light that showed him urine. We just bought this house and the owners before had a large dog. Because of that he added $250. The original quote was $420, but when he came he said it would be $700. Which was high but it was fine as long as there wouldn't be any urine and stains on the carpet. We agreed to the price and he started his job. We have a big house over 4,000 square feet, so we thought this would take him the whole day. He started at 9:30 and was done by 12:30. Both me and my mom were confused and thought how could he be done so quickly. He tried showing us pictures on his phone of before and after, and to be honest we didn't notice much of a difference. I didn't take before pictures but I've attached the after pictures. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe it's because it's still wet and we should wait till it dries to see a difference. No the carpet looked exactly the same. This was disappointing and I would never use this company again. Also not to mention he was being incredibly rude to my mother and talking down to her. She doesn't speak good English and he would say things and make little rude remarks. I have had this carpet placed in almost every classroom and office space as an educator. It was filthy, especially around the fringes. This last visit was a bit more work intensive, as we had them re-stretch all the carpeting in our house. The previous owner of our house had installed good quality carpeting, but evidently went cheap on the installation. After just a few years, the carpet in every room had huge waves in it - some big enough to trip over and keep doors from closing! Brian and Mario pointed out exactly what had gone wrong with the original installation and then took the time to make sure it was fixed the RIGHT way.
