Greatest place ever, for those that don't know. The way it works is you literally just pull up and tell him what you need. My brake pads were gone and needed a tune up. Sammy tuned my whole bike wiped it clean and installed brake pads in under 2 hours. Definately going back, not expensive either. read more

Sammy is awesome! I had to fix up my beat up, old Cannondale bike. After trying to do it myself and buying the wrong parts, I brought it over to Sammy. He works out of a bike van in battery park. But don't underestimate Sammy. Guy is dedicated to his craft. I brought my bike over to him and he advised me what parts to purchase. After purchasing the parts, I left my bike with him to fix. My bike was a decent size job (needed rear freewheel replaced, chains replaced, new pedals, brakes redone, and handle bars retaped). I went there a few days later on a Sunday to check on the bike and he apologized that he wasn't done yet since he had been swamped. But he was kind enough to work on the bike when I arrived. He must have turned down over 10 customers (including a person that tried to bribe him to work on his bike). That tells you what kind of a person Sammy is. Honest, hard working and extremely knowledgeable about many different types of bikes. He worked on my bike for the next 2.5-3 hrs that Sunday afternoon. He charged me a very fair price given the work performed. He even joked that he lost money because of me that afternoon. Thanks again Sammy and will be back! read more

I live in Tribeca and was so happy to come across Gotham Fix today. Sammy is very personable, friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to bikes. My bike has been sitting in my apartment for years and was very dusty and not ready for a ride. Due to the Corona virus situation I decided I may try riding my bike to the office so needed it to be cleaned up and checked. Sammy said that he would have it ready for me before the end of the night and it was ready just as he'd promised. He said he wanted to have it ready for me so that I could start riding my bike instead of the subway during this pandemic. I'm so glad that I saw his van in my neighborhood today. This guy is a rare gem, he's actually an expert and he's friendly and doesn't mind explaining things. We had our disc brakes tuned at three (3!) different bike shops near Downtown Brooklyn / Park Slope, all of the 4+ stars on Yelp, and none of them managed to do more than temporary fixes that lasted a couple hundred miles. Wow. Sammy is amazing. When I showed up he was fixing a delivery bike and was taking his time explaining to the customer what he was doing and why and being awesome 100% for his customer. His van is super nice and super organized, but he was part of Gotham bikes so I knew I was in good hands-Right then I knew Sammy Gotham fix is the best spot. Sammy greeted me and listened while I tried to explain a uncommon problem I was having with my cranks/hub drivetrain. I loved that he listened then asked me questions then troubleshooted a few things to get to the root of the problem. The whole time Sammy told me what he was doing and why. He knows so much of all eras of bikes mine is an 80s classic that no one knows how to work on. Sammy fixed my bicycle it now rides like a dream. I will only go here to sammys Gotham fix van.
