    The Triple
    Baber M.

So after trying to get a bit of Gouda Girls' offerings for probably close to a year, I learned that they just opened up a store location (rather than just their regular food truck). It is located at 1125 N 9th St Milwaukee, WI 53233. After such a long wait and so much anticipation, I was not disappointed. The Triple was bastion of gooey goodness. It may not be good for you, but it tastes GREAT. For all you traditionalists out there, this grilled cheese will not disappoint you. For all you adventure seekers, this grilled cheese will demonstrate that adding sauces, meats, and other items to the grilled cheese isn't always necessary. Sometimes keeping it simple is good enough.

The reason why I keep coming back. #breakfastbowl. Try it with the Pabst Blue Ribbon Mac & Cheese

Consistently busy over the years and for good reason. I've been here a few times and I've never been disappointed with the service or the food. It's a dark, cozy little restaurant bar but with so much character and history. Service is friendly and efficient. I love that the food I've ordered here has always exceeded my expectations with the seasonings and quality of ingredients used. Reasonably priced too! If you don't have a reservation, you may end up waiting for a table in the back area at a high top but it's a great opportunity to enjoy one of their great drinks in the meantime!

I don't drink so I can't speak to cocktails but they are a big draw as well. It had been awhile since I had stopped in, for some reason. I wanted some pancakes so I got the Crafthouse Stack with berries. They came with bourbon honey butter and maple syrup. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the berries. Raspberries in particular can be hit and miss. These were all perfectly sweet and ripe. I had some solid coffee also. The location is a little inconspicuous but inside there are high ceilings and modern but welcoming decor. Don't miss it.

There's a good chance I'll be back in Milwaukee next year for Summerfest, and I'm looking forward to giving this place another shot. The food looked fantastic, and, honestly, the cocktails and beers we had were already worthy of a few stars. I'm hoping my next visit lives up to how good everything looked.
