I was referred to Dave through a friend. I did look up Dave's reviews prior to calling. I read through some of the reviews and being a business owner I know stuff happens. I ended up calling Dave and I couldn't have made a better choice. We went over four or five things and he fixed what we could afford. He also gave me many recommendations on stuff that wasn't even on my list that i need to be aware of. We're new to RVs, we love the RV and yes I would recommend Dave all day long. I forgot to tell you that what we ended up replacing. There was an electrical outlet that I didn't even know was there and in these RVs there's not many electrical outlets. We glad to have this but it didn't work. It wasn't the outlet itself it was the wires had been burned back in a box it was kind of hard to find. I also had two other RV repairman look at this and Blythe and neither one could figure it out. We called Dave late in the evening with a water issue in our trailer.....couldn't turn city water or pump because water was leaking into our rig. Dave came out early the next morning, found the problem and fixed it quickly! Didn't ask for money up front and was Extremely reasonable, in fact he probably could've charged a lot more! My RV water heater failed on the road. Went to Gould who replaced the gas valve, however it failed again soon after. Another repair facility found that the gas pressure was too high causing the excess flame to melt the gas valve wires. Gould failed to check the gas pressure and has refused to reply to my numerous attempts to get at least a partial refund for their error. $220 is now spent and lost. read more

Shoddy workmanship and the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Lost parts, incomplete job and wouldn't return phone calls or emails as we were trying to get the job completed for months after initial removal of parts. Finally gave up and finished job myself. If you can, find somebody else and avoid this outfit. read more

I am not sure why others are giving it such a bad time, I found him to be prompt, reliable and fixed my battery for an affordable price. Sure he is not fancy and his car is a mess, but he got the job done and he came to me, I did not have to take the RV in to a shop. I recommend him. I did some minor damage to my RV roof. Dan from Gould Repair showed up, sold me brackets to a ceiling cover and said he'd bring the cover when he came back to do the actual repair. He also ordered a connector box for my solar panel. He called later that day to say the connector box was out of stock but that his coworker promised to come by the next day to see if we could repair the one I had. I called the coworker and confirmed that he was coming, then waited all day. I never saw or heard from them again. So... $150+ dollars for 50 cents worth of sealant and $12 brackets that didn't connect to anything. read more

Initially heard great things about this repair company. They came out as soon as they could to give me an estimate on my RV for total repair costs. Told me they would send me the estimate next day, and never did. I had called back multiple times, left messages asking for them to please respond since I would love to have my RV repaired. At this point it has been over a month, almost two and I have been completely ghosted with no response on anything. I don't understand why they would not want to provide the service they claim and make money from it. Do not recommend their services to anyone from my current experience! read more

Lets see....how can I say this without being to mean? If it's something simple, he can probably fix it. If you live outside of Flagstaff, he doesn't want to help you it seems like. What he "fixed" would not stay fixed. I could never get a return phone after leaving a message letting him know I was still having problems with, I guess was the electrical system, or so he said. I'm talking one and a half months of leaving messages! I finally had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I finally got a call. He wanted to know how we can resolve this and I told him if you can fix it, fine, if not, then I'd like a refund. He had to talk to his dad ( his dad is a good rv repairman, but he retired) what a shame. So, he called back and said," I'll just return your parts." I said,"ok" Then I had to remove the ones he put in and bring to work with me so he could pick them up there. Because he was supposed to come and get them and I hurried home to be there and he called to say he was already back in Flagstaff and we'd have to do it some other time. So, I suggested taking them off myself and he agreed. I finally got my money back. I have a "new" repairman that came recommended from the shop Gould used to work at. Used to. David came out on a Sunday and saved our family vacation. We had a leaking valve on our toilet and had to turn water off to the whole camper. From the time we talked on the phone he was at our door in less than an hour and had the problem fixed in no time. He even turned around and came back when we discovered a different issue. David Gould came out on a Wednesday for a warranty Dometic toilet issue. He said the flap was bent and needed to replace the entire toilet. I needed to send him my warranty info by email. I send it Wednesday morning after he left. I called him that afternoon to confirm he received the email. His response was, I don't know haven't checked my emails. I requested he call me back if he didn't receive it.He never called. ( we are on vacation from the lower Southeast and will be heading home in 6 days) We have call David and he has never returned our calls. It always goes to VM. I think he was avoiding our calls, so I used a different phone to call him and still he will not return our calls after leaving 4 messages. The least he could do was call back and say I can't do your repairs. Then I could have found someone else in Flagstaff to fix our issue, instead of waiting 5 days, thinking he would stay true to his word and do our repairs on Monday. Monday has come and gone and we now get to travel back to Alabama with toilet issues. Thanks David Gould!!! read more

I had a leaking water faucet in the sink of my motorhome. I tried 1 other RV Tech but his schedule was booked solid. I was referred to Gould by the tech with the busy schedule and explained that I needed an O-Ring replaced I had the parts here. He performed the O-ring replacement but I still had water leaking under the sink into the cupboard. He drove to Home Depot and found a replacement faucet and separate sprayer that would fit into the existing cutouts in the Corian counter top. He also called me to discuss what he was seeing and to assess how much I wanted to spend. The new faucet and sprayer were installed and I am operational with water. As a courtesy he adjusted the flame on the propane water heater that was "popping" as we tested the hot/cold function. His prices were within the ranges I was expecting because he did the shopping at Home Depot in addition to the installation. Very satisfactory experience. read more

I guess I would start by saying that it should be illegal for Dave Gould to own tools or have a business card. I called Dave with numerous items that needed repaired on my Tiffin Rv, informed him that I had insurance for these repairs, and made an appointment with him. The first appointment Dave didn't show up or even call me. After several hours I called him to hear some excuses about being busy and I reminded him that my phone worked fine. When Dave showed up to the next appointment he replaced a fantastic fan that I already owned and tried to diagnose a light that wasn't working. I called Tiffin to get help diagnosing the repair and they repeatedly said that it was unlikely the switch was bad but probably a bad connection. Dave refused to listen to them and left saying it's the switch because they go bad all the time. The next trip Dave came with the $140 switch, installed it and still no lights. Dave said he would start buying more parts for the circuit board and I asked him how he knew that the connections weren't bad as Tiffin had suggested and he finally checked the connection and woolah I had lights again. My washing machine had also quit working and it was either the third or fourth trip before he even tried to diagnose it. This repair took multiple trips of trial and error before I suggested he take the washing machine with him and fix it so I didn't have my life disrupted every week while he was guessing what part to order next. When he finally returned it after over 7 weeks, he didn't put the washer closet back together properly and I finally gave up on him. Did I mention collateral damage? Dave packed in more dirt in one appointment than my dog and I do in a week. He damaged the washer closet dragging the washer out and damaged the carpet also. On the insurance Dave took the $140 switch we didn't need and billed the insurance. He also billed the insurance company $347 for a fantastic fan I already owned that cost $250!! i came to flagstaff from the dallas area to help my daughter with a house she had bought. i pulled my airstream here to live in while working on her house. during this visit my heater stopped working just before the first snowstorm of the season i was so lucky to have called gould rv repair by chanch. the fan motor in the furnace had burned out and needed replaced. these guys went the extra mile to search all over the country to have one shipped to me as soon as possible. the fan motore was not easy to fund, but these guys came thru, and i am so thankful that i am now nice and tosty, and worry free for my return trip across country this winter. these guys did a great job, kept me informed as to what was happening while searching for the fan, and was a pleasure to do business with. i would recommend there service to anyone! thank you both for great the service, and for going the extra mile, and for being the professionals you are. sincerely, tom hammond read more
