We had a new home built in 2021. We are 100% off-grid, so we rely solely on our solar for all our…read moreelectrical needs. We had always been on the grid in the past. We feel we were not given any instruction/education on our solar system from the original contractor -perhaps the intent was to keep us in the dark so we would stay dependent on him. So, we learned as we went. After struggling with the original solar contractor for two and a half years, my builder called Prometheus who contacted us. We are in the Chino Valley area, so it is over 1 1/2 hours to our home from Flagstaff. Ryan Holtz, the owner, came to survey our system. He solved a surging problem we were having which the original contractor wouldn't or couldn't fix. Ryan patiently educated us and answered questions to which we couldn't get answers from the original contractor. He didn't hesitate and assured us he would take care of us and the system. Ryan installed surge protectors on both sides of the inverter, to add to its protection and to safeguard our home electrical. Watching Ryan work, we noticed him slightly shaking his head, as an expert will do when looking at substandard work. As Ryan made recommendations, it became painfully obvious the original contractor had taken many shortcuts when installing our system. Ryan, with my permission, was given remote access to our inverter so Prometheus could monitor our system from Flagstaff. A couple of weeks later, Ryan sent Louis and Christian to our home. Lightning arrestors were installed on the solar field to help protect the charge controller circuits in the inverter. A larger box was put on the solar field for the wiring which should have been done originally. The original electrical box (standard duplex) barely contained the wiring. Larger sized wiring nuts were used instead of ones barely big enough. Inside, an electrical distribution box was added, so all the cabling to the three batteries were the same length, which the manufacturer of the batteries insisted upon for their warranty. A heavier cable was run from that box to the inverter. And the wires were red and black for positive and negative, not all black! An LED indicator light was replaced in one of the batteries that hadn't worked in over a year which the original contractor claimed they couldn't obtain. Overall, Louis and Christian got rid of two "rats nests" of wires. Now our wiring looks expertly installed, instead of a haphazard mess. Louis even cleaned the dust off the tops of the batteries, indicating, to me that he took pride in his work! Shortly after Louis and Christian left our home, I noticed a warning light on our generator indicating the battery on the generator wasn't being charged. After quickly trying to diagnose it myself as it was getting close to 5pm, I called Prometheus. Ryan sent them back and solved the problem, staying on the phone with them. Outstanding! We are very happy with Ryan and his team. We now have peace of mind and a new confidence in our solar system.

Highly recommend this local Flagstaff company to any of our neighbors. ()

After checking out multiple solar installers I meet with Green Muscle Solar and Brandon came to my…read morehouse and explained the install process and the breakdown of the cost and answered every question I had thoroughly and detailed. He broke down the cost of the system and how the rebates would work and made sure I got the best deal possible! I did the finance option and Paula in the office was amazing and helped walk us through the process of applying for financing and making sure we got all the things needed to pay for the cost of the solar and get the rebates. When we began the install process we ran into heavy unexpected rainfall and had to reschedule. Brandon was quick to help set up a new day for install and the team working on the install were amazing and friendly and did an excellent time! They came out installed the system and made sure to do touch ups after the install. We had an outlet installed on the roofline also and despite being put in the wrong location originally Brandon and the crew made sure to make it right and fix it free of charge. Honestly if you're looking for solar installers the Valley area Green Muscle Solar is the only company you should go with!!! They are beyond amazing and so great at what they do and knowledgeable. Beyond helpful and just honest and hardworking! They were super communicative dealing with scheduling and working with our busy schedule and planned vacation to help us get the system installed and up and running!!

I decided on Green Muscle and was extremely happy with the entire process. Somehow, they had excellent customer service, excellent pricing, AND we were happy with the outcome. Andre and Paula were fast to respond and very communicative. I can't remember the name of the guy who was in charge of install, but he was awesome too. My system has been up and running for a while now and we couldn't be happier. Our APS bills are already way lower than last year and we haven't even hit summer yet. I actually think our system will pay for itself even faster than we thought. I highly recommend them if you're interested in solar!

Fred and his crew showed up and did a very good job of installing the equipment. The latest hiccup was getting the approval from the county. Apparently, they are backed up big time. After some back and forth communications with Dominic, my project manager, he was able to get a temporary meter for me. Lisa showed up to install the meter and we were able to work through the final installation and power up procedures. It is now working and I am very happy with the results. The system powers my complete home, garage, and shop. We have had a few cloudy days recently (no rain to speak of :-( which is disappointing), but the panels have still produced enough power to charge the system, so it provides power most of the night. A little patience has paid big dividends and I congratulate Dean and all his crew. Dennis

I signed a contract with Verde Solar Power on July 8, 2025…read more Granted, it does takes a while to get everything coordinated with APS, but Verde Solar had to return twice to correct errors. Once to put the inverter in the correct location and then again to rewire it correctly after APS inspected it and rejected it. I finally received Permission To Operate from APS on Dec 23rd, 2025. Unfortunately, I had a malfunctioning inverter. After two months of calling Verde Solar, finally getting a technician to come out, told it needed to be replaced and then being told they were waiting on the ticket, I finally took it upon myself to call the company that manufactured the inverter. I was told by a supervisor who after careful searching informed me that no ticket had been submitted for the serial number of my inverter. I asked them to call Verde Solar Power regarding this case. Two days later, on March 5th, I had a replacement inverter from a different manufacturer. The replacement inverter was a used one which was acceptable as long as I received the full manufacturer's warranty. However, for some reason, Verde Solar Power no longer had administrative access to this inverter preventing them from correcting the warranty dates or even indicating me as the owner. As of this date, April 15th, they still have no access. Meanwhile, I again took it upon myself to also contact this company directly. What followed was a month of chat lines, emails and sending documents to prove I was indeed the owner of this particular inverter which had recently been installed. During this period, VSP never called me to give me a progress report. I always had to call them, and always received the same message... "They were working on it." With zero assistance from Verde Solar, and with major effort and persistence on my part, the replacement inverter is now registered under my name and address, and the warranty period has been updated. My system is working well and I am receiving APS credits, but it took 9 1/2 months of constant texting and calling to get my system to be fully functional and properly registered, ...VERSUS just "completely installed." I will not be dealing with Verde Solar Power again. It is unfortunate that their previous professionalism and earlier success seems to no longer be applicable. I've travelled all over the country and I've been to all sorts of shops…read more This one is WILDLY overrated, unprofessional, and I've had 3 experiences with them to reach this conclusion. For starters, Buddy the owner is rude. You can tell he's about to retire because he speaks to you as though he doesn't want your business. The shop takes 3-5x longer than they estimate on everything they do. I heard that they are understaffed so those handling electrical are not actually professionals any longer, and they wont disclose any of this until they've changed the quote on you several times and try to gaslight you into rationalizing it, or worse, making you think you're the problem. The youngsters are great and the craftsmanship is acceptable, the project manager is fair at communicating complications when they arise, but that's all soured when management is dishonest. The main shop man Rusty is overworked, unfriendly, dishonest, and the biggest problem is that they don't have competition so they are completely flooded with all of the work, booked out very far ahead of time, and don't get punished for negligent business handlings because they're the only guys in town. Very disappointing experience at $165/hr and I recommend a mobile rv tech over this company 9 times out of 10 unless you absolutely have to get something fabricated. In that case, I reccomend a different welder
