He and his crew showed up on time and ready to work. They were all so gracious and kind and also really good movers! Clearly very knowledgeable and experienced!! So organized, and they worked together as a team really well. Didn't waste a second of time, but also weren't so rushed that they were sloppy. They were so nice to our dog who fell in love with them!! They treated our homes (the one we moved out of and the one we moved into) with the utmost care and respect and were such nice guys to spend the day with. The price was very very reasonable - right in line with the estimate, no surprise charges. Far less than I expected to pay. GoWagon was AMAZING during my recent move. They were very timely and kind. I had a lot of potential issues with my new place because a lot of the doorways and opening were smaller than standard. They did everything they could to get all of my furniture in anyway. We ended up getting everything in! I think any other movers would have given up and said they couldn't do it but they were constantly looking for other potential solutions! I hired Welcome Wagon Moving for my move from Clifton to Little Ferry NJ recently. For someone who has moved almost every year during College years and post-college I can say this was the most stress-free move I have experienced thus far. Rui, the manager was very professional and efficient. The movers arrived 10 minutes early and came prepared with all furniture wrapping/padding and even extra boxes. Two man crew moved my entire master bedroom + Livingroom + kitchen in a few hours. I was impressed how they handled my items with care. Rui even offered me an extra box at no charge when I had some misc items still laying around with nowhere to place them. Moving items into my new apartment was a breeze. Even when there was a slight problem with moving in my queen size bed frame (which we couldn't fit in due to rubbing against the walls) Rui had tools on hand to reposition the entry door. However due to the rubbing the bed frame had a slight tear on one end. Rui personally handled this mishap with professionalism and placed an order in minutes to replace the bed frame. Highly recommended!! Rui came with his team (2 others) and helped out with moving within Manhattan. I submitted a quote request and Rui got back to me almost immediately (based on hourly rate - note we ended up going over the estimated time a bit but he didn't charge me more although I wouldn't have been surprised if he had). The team came exactly on time and were very quick and careful with any items that either I mentioned was fragile or they viewed as fragile, providing additional cushioning. After moving, there was nothing missing nor broken and they handled the whole process seamlessly with the doormen/management of the buildings I was moving in/out of. We have used Welcome Wagon Moving three times in the course of a move from Montclair to Garrison NY. Rui and his men are very efficient hard working and fair with pricing. They are also very nice people. We liked them so much the first time that we hired them for the second part of our move and for a clean out of old house. In the course of the second move a mirror got broken, Rui had it repaired quickly, no questions asked. Booking was super easy, and Rui was great to work with. They arrived on time, and were very efficient...they really know what they're doing! I had a horrible experience with welcome wagon. They called me up a few days before the move, to see if I could do it a day earlier. I told them I could not, as I had scheduled a day off from my job and also reserved my building's freight elevator. He said fine, he would do it early at 8 am. On the day of, they never showed up. I finally got him on the phone, and he started giving me excuses of his moving truck had issues, he'd be there by 10.30-11 am. Then at 10, he called and said that due to our earlier altercation, he was canceling the move. I said"what altercation?", he replied "I don't think the move would have gone well, you were too upset about us being late by just 2-3 hours, that's not a big deal in moving." I said fine, but you can't just cancel a room based on that. He then hung up and I found new movers. read more

Rui and Carlos are the most affordable and most professional movers and I had a quite bit experience in moving. Mostly my husband and I would rent a Budget or U-haul truck and would do everything by ourselves, until we realized that it costs almost the same and a lot less hassle if you are moving in town and hiring Welcome Wagon and let them do what they are good at. They showed up right on time and were very careful with our stuff. They wrapped all our furniture and so we didn't get a single scratch on them. We will definitely work with them if we need to move again and keep recommending them to our friends. read more

To list the grievances: - After quoting a total price and getting our confirmation, they tacked on extra "gas and toll" fees amounting to $50 (fine to charge, but tell customers upfront) - Failed to confirm we were actually booked for our move day. Ignored emails, calls and text messages. Only reached them on the morning of move day by calling from a different number. - They arrived 2 1/2 hours late (blamed traffic; no apology) - They arrived exhausted (had done another move in the morning) - Took 2 hrs 45 min to load the truck at the first location (this despite the fact that we were fully packed, had put everything in the building hallway for them, and there was an elevator) - Took 1 hour to drive to second location, again blaming traffic even though Google calculates traffic and said 30 min. (We overheard them talking about getting something to eat, which is fine, but don't bill us $50 for the time.) - We unloaded the truck at the second location entirely ourselves, to try and expedite - They didn't have expertise in getting things to fit through doorways, a basic you expect from movers. We had to suggest alternative approaches that we had picked up ourselves from ONE day of moving the prior month. This made everything move even slower, and caused excess damage to the building hallways & ceiling. - At the 5 hour mark, they had only moved the heaviest items into the new apartment (90% of our possessions were still on the sidewalk) - We told them that was enough, that we would pay them the $520 (including the gas fee) and do the rest ourselves, even though that was obviously NOT what we had signed up for. They flipped out, called us thieves (since we were 5-10 minutes over 5 hours...only because they had intentionally taken a break right at the 5 hour mark) and started threatening that they knew where we lived and that we would be seeing them again. Bottom line is that Rui is a total hustler. For $500+ we could have spent $100 more and had a normal full-service company. Instead, we gutted ourselves doing half the work on our own and clocked 10 hours to do a move that should have taken 4 max. read more
