Ok it's 90 degrees outside so may as well go to a movie. GDX has a current selection and a variety of times to chose from. They also offer matinee prices of $5.50 or $8 depending on the day. Also good for families is the kids movie specials on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. See their event page for more info. The theaters are clean and the seats are nice and there is a nice amount of legroom between the rows. I've been twice recently and each time someone had to come in to actually get the movie started which I've never had happen before but no biggie. As any theater the concession prices are nuts so I just skip it. If you haven't already, line up to give over your money for Top Gun Maverick. It was fun. read more

Small, local and serves beer / wine and drinks for the adults! I really enjoyed my experience here. I arrived a few mins before my movie started and was pleasantly surprised that my ticket was $9 for an opening weekend movie on a Saturday night. I didn't purchase any snacks. I feel like I got the best seat in the house. The picture was clear and the sound was on point. I come to this theater all the time. I live in Indianapolis and will drive to Brownsburg for this theater. Tonight my husband and I went and had our first issue. It wasn't with our service or the movie but with the annoying kids behind us. I went and talked to Travis, the manager and within the time it took me to get back to my seat he solved my problem. He also happened to be the guy to get our tickets and popcorn. He was extremely friendly and because of him I'll continue to go back. read more

Movie great. Movie experience terrible. Made it obvious why a theater that can hold 120 people had less than 20 on a Saturday. Expected overpriced snacks (that's normal) but charging ~$4 for a small water in a cup (not bottled) then stall popcorn. Combine that with commercials before the movie starts blasting so that everyone had headaches before the movie Will not be going back. This theater is small. I am so used to huge megaplex so it was actually nice to not have to walk 1 mile to our theater. The bathrooms were also close for that quick run out during the movie. It was very clean and I liked how easy the process of getting my ticket was! It was a weekday and I had bought online. I picked up right at the kiosk and we were in our theater very quickly. I did think the handi-cap rows were a little close to the screen so we went up one step, but my aunt wouldn't be able to go up any further. I have only been in the one theater, but do look forward to going back. read more

This is our little town movie theater we really enjoy it! In the spring they have Monday movies FREE movies for the family on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays! This means a TON for penny punches like me with kids! Get a rewards card to save a lot on other movie viewings and snacks it's 10-15% I can't remember at the moment. The kids keep the floors cleaned and there is a nice array of seating prior to entrance which as a toddler mom is very nice! The arcade games are affordable and the crowd of course is great! Had some time to kill during the rain this last weekend and decided to catch a movie. This was my first time here and will return if I'm in town again. Staff was courteous as well as the manager. Movie time was a very enjoyable experience here for a screening of Beauty and the Beast with a friend and her daughter. Prices were reasonable for a matinee and refreshments. A quick sign up for the loyalty program offered a 15% discount on popcorn, drinks and candies. The seats were comfortable and we opted for the front row of the upper seating of the theater. Sound and screen quality were great and bathrooms were clean. This location in a retail center with several options for dinner close by. Would make a great date night destination. read more

I've been to two Midnight premiers in my life, one being here. Generally, you would think that you would automatically receive better treatment due to the special viewing time. I was sorely mistaken. Here is the breakdown of events: First, we showed up early to get good seats waiting in line but noticed a fair amount of people cutting in line which the staff should have been regulating. Second, they started the movie about 15 minutes late. Third, in the middle of the film they had a little difficulty with the audio. Fourth, close to the end of the movie the projector stops, not once but twice, which took them close to 10 mins to fix. Last but not least, the managers on-duty did nothing to try to compensate anyone for their lack of services, save the two dozen or so that surrounded them. When I go to a movie I'm looking for an entertaining experience. Instead, I left frustrated and completely unsatisfied. They could have at least saved face by handing out vouchers to everyone in our theater as we left but I guess they lacked the empathy or will to do so. I will not be returning to this movie theater. read more

Okay so. It's relatively cheap so occasionally if our usual theaters don't have the showtimes we were hoping for it's not a problem to come slightly out of our way to stop by here. It's an older theater, no reclining seats, etc. But like I said, it's cheaper so no big deal. I will say, they have some weird policies now that the bar is open. I'm 24 but since my last ID update was before I hit 21, I have a vertical license. I have literally never had a problem with this before but when I went to get a beer I was informed that they can't serve people with vertical IDs. I was told it was the regional managers policy. My fiance got a beer, was given a wristband and a lecture about how he'd get kicked out if he gave beer to anyone without a wristband. Listen, I get being careful but if there are issues with alcohol sales I would recommend investing in training for those at the 'bar' on how to check an ID rather than having a policy that makes it so any customer who renewed/received/updated their license before 21 cannot get service. I get that it's more convenient to just be able to glance and not check DOB but it's a strange policy. We probably won't be back just because it's nice to have the option to get a drink or something. The theater was already more of a last option because it's somewhat run down. I will say, customer service is always decent and this experience, while strange, was perfectly lovely in terms of service. read more

This is a wonderful and inexpensive theater alternative to the more crowded and costly city options. The screens are large. The sound is excellent and there's no reserved seating which in my humble opinion removes a potential hassle. If you come to the early shows after the movie has been out for a few days, there is a chance you will get the auditorium to yourself! If you come soon enough to get the GDX experience, you will get a presentation close to being on par with IMAX. Are there better and newer theaters, well sure but this is a value option which I think is under rated which has most of the modern amenities for normal movie goers and it's kept clean! Especially for those who live in The Brownsburg area, those are multiple wins in my book! read more

I enjoy this theater and it's almost next door to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, Tequila Sunrise. The theater and restrooms have always been clean, the concession staff is friendly and decent screening with no issues so far. The popcorn has been fresh but as all of the theater concession items, way overpriced. They do make an effort to move people as quickly as possible and the lines are usually short. Definitely worth the visit if you're on the west side of Indy or in Brownsburg. Just minutes off the I-74 ramp. read more

Great movie theater. We come here quite a bit due to the lower prices, great quality of food, clean theater and friendly staff! They alway have to most current movies as well as a movie rewind a couple times a month. I have done a birthday party here as well. You can rent a party room for 4 hours for $40 and only pay for the tickets you purchase. It was easy to schedule as well! They also have a frequent movie goers card that is free to sign up for. I highly recommend this. The points add up very quickly and you can use those for concessions or a $25 gift card. I've gotten lots of free things with this card. read more

I usually have a pretty decent experience at this location, but today they will get 2 stars thanks to one extremely rude employee by the name of Jennifer. Don't know her last name of course but she has a short brownish reddish hair, she's Caucasian , and had on some trashy blue eye shadow. My friend and I went to the movies Saturday night and everything was going swell..that is until we encountered Jennifer. She had the nastiest attitude, all but throwing the popcorn at us and slamming the cup down and sliding it across the counter to me as if we were at some grimy bar, the drink practically spilled out! Also when we were trying to ask her a question she cut us off and began talking to her friends who were standing in line behind us. I literally stood there mouth agape mortified. This treatment was unwarranted, maybe she was upset to be working on a Saturday night but the patrons should not be made privy to that fact. This is not the type of person you should want to represent your location. She works concession so she's the last point of contact before entering the actual theatre. I'm telling you guys if you go here and approach the concession and see Jennifer (with the choppy brown hair and pasty shadow..gotta be specific as im not sure if theres more than one Jennifer) Swiftly go the other direction or request to be serviced by someone else. Kudos to all the rest of the employees there however, the young ladies who work the ticket booth when you first come in are always pleasant, even the rest of the employees working concession were great. Jennifer however, needs to be reprimanded, because one day she may run across someone not as nice as my friend and I and get told off in front of the whole theatre which I had to restrain my friend from doing mind you. read more

I was at the Harry Potter midnight premiere as well, but I disagree with Joshua somewhat. The technical breakdowns were frustrating, but the management did try to fix them. They also handed out free concession passes and free tickets to everyone at the end of the show. I was upset that the movie did not go smoothly, but the crazy screaming people who were throwing a fit about a movie were the real problem. read more
