I have been to Flix several times - the concept is great because it's like being at home on the couch enjoying food, but instead it's at the theater getting waited on while watching a new movie. The food is always good, staff efficient, quality of sound great. They have had issues with popcorn the last couple of times - no butter once (turns out it was delicious without!) and delayed popcorn this last time. The menu is more extensive than it used to be with almost too many good choices! A varied alcohol selection is also on the menu. Definitely check this place out if you want a new experience for date night or outing with friends! read more

Updating my review after several years. The seats aren't as comfortable as some of the other Hamilton County theaters. Flix is due for an update. Our group of four ordered appetizers, alcoholic beverages, and a variety of entrées. One of the appetizers was the hummus platter, and the naan was ice cold. The server told us that the oven wasn't working. That would have been nice to know at the time we ordered, not after. She took the naan back to the kitchen, microwaved it, and brought it back. My burger was missing some of the items I had ordered, and the tater tots were missing the ranch I ordered. With the exception of the food it was still a decent experience. read more

Sadly, this long-time Flix Brewhouse regular will be changing her ways. Over time, I've noticed a steady decline in food quality paired with prices that no longer match the experience. For two tickets, two entrées, and two alcoholic drinks, the bill now exceeds $110--on par with a nice meal at a decent steakhouse, even accounting for today's inflation. Case in point: tonight I ordered the Margarita pizza with a glass of wine. In the past, the marg pizza was flavorful, with a thinner crust and plenty of fresh basil. Now it more closely resembles a Chuck E. Cheese pizza - thicker, bland crust, overloaded with cheese, and only a token sprinkle of basil and tomato. Upon arrival, we waited about 15 minutes for a server - not a major issue. I was nearly finished ordering through the app (which I actually love) when he arrived. After the food was delivered, I made one simple request: salt and red pepper flakes, as the pizza desperately needed some help. The response was, "Um, I'll see what I can do," and that was the last we saw of them. No salt. No pepper. To add insult to injury, an 18% gratuity was automatically added to the bill. Why? I understand this for large parties, but with minimal interaction and unmet requests, it feels less like appreciation and more like a rip-off. read more

This is my go to spot for movies. I love that you can get a full meal while you enjoy the show. Flix shows the standard new releases and also does a lot of fun old movie showings throughout the month. The food is pretty good and they will sometimes offer themed food related to the special movies they're showing. The same goes for the beer and cocktails. The service can be hit or miss depending on how full the theatre is so be prepared to wait a little bit for a drink refill. read more

Located in Carmel. It features large theaters and a wide selection of craft beers to choose from. The seats are leather but they do not recline. They have pull out tables to enjoy food and beverages. The seats are old but reasonably comfortable. The theater overall is out dated and not very inviting. The food is terrible. There are a bunch of kids in the back making this stuff. It's a decent place to enjoy a craft beer and a movie. Outside of that not all that great. read more

This is a nice location. There's plenty of parking and when you walk in, it's a big open space lined with beer silo tank "thingys". Once you purchase tickets and go to your theater, you can order off the menu by scanning the code or pushing the button at your seat. It is recommended to arrive early so you can have your food/drinks ordered before the movie starts. I had the popcorn, loaded fries with pulled pork and the Luna Rosa beer. The popcorn was evenly buttered and the fries were crispy but could have been seasoned more but overall everything was good. The tables in front of you do pull forward which was convenient. Went to see MJ movie! Movie was great. I wasn't a fan of the theater setup. You can't easily get to your seat if you're on the inside. It was hard to determine the layout when purchasing tickets. I saw online that some theater are update to where seats have ease of access but this one was not. I wa surprised by the gratuity which is fine but that on top of food that isn't worth the price is a bit much. Food options were plenty but the food was just okay. Flixs honestly does a pretty fair job of giving you a good movie/dining experience. The food is always pretty yummy, and they have a good selection of drinks. I especially loved that this time they had some movie-themed drinks. The negative is, as you would expect in a movie/dinner environment, that everything is always a little sticky, and not quite clean. I also really miss the reclining chairs (I know, I'm spoiled) that other movie theaters have. However, flex is always consistent, and I'll definitely be back. read more

This was my first visit to Flix. Upon entry I noticed the brewery located on the second floor of the two story lobby. The theater and restrooms were clean. We had booked our tickets in advance for the opening weekend of Wicked For Good. It was crowded as expected, but service was fast. We placed our orders before the movie started. I tried the movie inspired Wicked Witch cocktail. Loved it. 5/5. I got the chicken fingers and fries for my meal. My bill was $40. You can order through a server or online. Simple and convenient. Seating is comfy with pull out tables in front. There are aisles tucked in between sections so you don't have to walk down the entire row to exit. I don't think there's a bad seat in the theater. Sound was good. While there, I signed up for their loyalty program because I shall return! read more

We went to Flix this evening for the first time, and honestly it may be our last time as well. Just an absolutely bizarre experience from start to finish. -We walked in and just walked straight back to our theatre and nobody ever asked to see our tickets. The theater was dirty with crumbs all over the floor. -My wife ordered popcorn and a few drinks using the app; the popcorn and one drink came out quickly. For some reason it took twenty minutes to get a root beer. -The wait staff was all over the place and were downright annoying. Loud, pre-rehearsed punchlines and just a nuisance. I went to the bathroom and on the way back heard some of them arguing with one another about not being efficient, which was also off-putting. We never did have any interaction with any member of the wait staff. They were also hassling people about seeing their tickets while trying to place orders, which is also odd. Why not have someone checking them beforehand? Absolutely bizarre. -Towards the end of the movie, a member of the wait staff came by with a check, which confused us because we already paid using the app. So we missed part of the ending of the movie because we were busy scratching our heads trying to figure out the check situation. The check showed that we already paid, so I guess it was a final attempt to get a tip even though 18% gratuity was already added and we literally never interacted with a waiter/waitress. The waitress didn't bring us a pen either, and ignored us at the end of the movie when she was collecting the checks, so we just left. Other guests seemed confused as well. Overall, just a really weird experience and an odd business model. It all seemed like a huge hassle just to see a movie. read more

Every time I have ordered coffee at Flix, I've regretted it. But man, they were on their A-game today. When you order coffee, you get a whole French Press good for about 2 cups of coffee. Meaning it stays nice and hot. Eggs were very good, bacon was crispy. For a theater breakfast, I thought it was excellent. Venue was clean, ticket to get in was $11. Can't complain! read more

Flix has become one of our go-to spots for date night. The food is usually pretty good, the craft beer is a plus and we've always had great/quick service. However, our last visit was a bit of a letdown. My fiance ordered her usual fish and chips, but when it arrived the portion was way smaller than usual. The fish was tiny, and we felt like we were getting way less than we normally do for $16. We brought it up to our server, and she was really apologetic, telling us they had run out of the usual fish they use. She offered to let us choose something else, which we appreciated, but we still felt disappointed with the whole situation. To add to it, the popcorn wasn't quite up to par this time either. We noticed a ton of unpopped kernels in the box--way more than usual. It was honestly a little concerning because we were just waiting for one of us to bite down on a hard kernel and risk chipping a tooth! Not ideal for a movie experience. Overall, I've had mostly great experiences at Flix, and this last one was more of an exception than the rule. I'll definitely keep coming back because the atmosphere, ease of ordering, and food are usually on point, but I hope this was just a rare off night. read more

I came tonight to see Michael Jackson and went to wash my hands in the bathroom and it was totally disgusting. Paper towels were all on the floor everywhere. The stalls had tissue on the floor and trash was on the floor. I do understand guest may have done this which makes them disgusting as well. However frequent checks would keep the bathroom tidy. Plus if the bathroom is nasty people will unfortunately follow suit. Please do better. I didn't order food because it made me uncomfortable that the kitchen hygiene and procedures were not up to par as well. read more

Love the concept of this place! The service was great and they are very conscientious not to disturb others in the theatre when taking orders. They did a great job refilling my drink throughout the movie (something I hate doing at other theaters and missing the movie). Table tops pull out and push in when not needed. No reclining chairs. Today I went to the 1:25 PM showing of Megan 2 to be told that it was incorrectly posted in a theater that doesn't exist, but yet no one took it down. We took off work in order to come to the showing too very poor customer service and we we're not accommodated for our trouble. Update: So then we returned for their 8:15 pm show and the bad customer service continued. We went on their Discount Wednesday just to be told they now don't discount the movie out first week. That's a new rule. They upped their Weds price to $5.55 too we noticed and based on today's TWO visits and NOT being told it wouldn't be valid today anyways or offered anything for their false advertising of a 1:25 pm showing today is just unacceptable customer service. Definitely will be my LAST choice theater to patronize. read more

We have really been sleeping on Flix Brewhouse! It's closeby in the heart of Carmel and features a large bar and restaurant area to enjoy before you head into your movie, or better yet--you can order full menu and bar right at your seat to enjoy during your movie! Each theater was filled with friendly staff, making sure everyone had just what they wanted before the movie! The draft beer and all the food was really great. One bit of advice, Double check the seating chart when you select your seat, as what normally appears as an aisle was actually against the wall. When I realized my error, I went to the bar ticket kiosk, and saw there were two aisle seats still open and he switched them for me no problem. I was super happy that they could accommodate this request and it made the experience all that much better!! Another great perk is the variety of movies they show! Not only new releases but also some classic throwbacks from all genres! What fun to be able to see your favorite Indiana Jones movie or rom com back in a theater! My partner and I have been here a few times and we've always had great experiences. We saw the Backrooms movie in theater 2 at 6:45. I ordered a kids cheeseburger combo with ketchup, mayo, pickles, and onion with a side of fries and a shirley temple. The server asked me to repeat my entire order and said "no toppings?" to which I told her those were what I wanted on my burger. She asked again "side of fries?" and then said "and what drink?" to which I said shirley temple, again. I was brought a starry instead of a shirley temple, which was fine. However, my burger came with absolutely nothing on it except cheese. We pressed the service button and I explained to a different employee that my burger came with nothing on it when I indicated three times I wanted mayo, ketchup, onion, and pickle. She said "I'll be right back" and brought back a bowl with pickle, lettuce and tomato. The movie had started and I was done with dealing with the staff. It's ridiculous that both my food AND drink were incorrectly rung in/made, despite me clearly clarifying my order three separate times. This place is already expensive as is, but I did not even receive what I ordered. Stick with ordering through your phone, the employees here clearly need to be retrained. read more

I took my girlfriend to see the backrooms on May 30th. When we ordered our food, we had to repeat multiple times because the waitress wasn't listening (She literally said she was thinking about something else, it wasn't due to the theater volume). That in itself is fine, but my girlfriend ordered a Shirley temple and got a sprite, and ordered a burger with 4 toppings and got a plain burger. When we called the attendant over to bring it up they brought her a bowl with 3 toppings, only 1 of which was one of the four she asked for. To add insult to injury the people behind us I overheard complaining about the same thing (so either the waitress messed up everyone's order or the cook did) and she literally had both burgers remade. All of these things individually are understandable but together it's just unacceptable. I tend to enjoy flix but with the prices rising there substantially I would expect service to at least remain the same, if not rise as well. I've never had that many issues in one visit. read more

The draft menu is good I think, though I must confess I'm not a beer drinker. The seats don't recline and that's a bit of a bummer, but the service is amazing & the menu is nice, Flix takes cards and cash, offers a variety of ways to order, a comprehensive menu and have I mentioned the service. Good experience. I think I'll still explore options for longer films because of seating, but I'll definitely visit again read more

Great place for dinner and a movie. Few coke here once or twice a months and always have a nice time. They combined my favorite things: movies, sitting, eating, drinking. There's a bar when you walk in if you want to come early and hang out or grab a drink. They create their own beers and have seasonal ones that change often. They also recently (in late 2023) changed their menu and it's so good!! I especially love the breakfast foods, their double fried fries, and their chicken tenders. They also have some good shakes (although a little pricey) and bottomless popcorn bowls. My only wish is that they had a more developed craft cocktail menu. read more

I took my husband here for his birthday to see the new Avatar movie. We don't have a movie theater like this on the south side so we wanted to try it out. We heard it was best to get there early so you can put your order in. I would recommend doing this 100%. We put in a drink and appetizer order which came out very quickly. But once the theater started filling up, it definitely took longer to get the other food we ordered. I gave Flix 4/5 stars because the seats don't recline. I feel like I have been spoiled with the new seats they put in the theaters now. All I wanted to do after eating was to put my feet up for that next level of coziness. Get the breakfast pizza and you will not be disappointed! We loved it! We also ordered the Wisconsin Cheese Curds and the pretzel. They were also delicious. Service was good and friendly. Do not pick seats 7f and 8f in theater 5. They are at the top of the stairs in the middle absolutely in the way of the stairs and no table in front of you. They have a flip out table that might be 6in by 12in and at least one table was bent. We asked to move to 11f and 12f. Theater was clean. Server was friendly. We got popcorn with butter. The pepperoni pizza and breakfast cub. Club way too much bread and not fully toasted. Bacon too thick and not crisp. Tots were good. Pepperoni pizza decent not spectacular. I really want to be a big supporter of this business as my son used to work there and they are located very close. The only downside is, I am noticing they seem to be doing less for more. Meaning, their prices are going up (which is not suprising with inflation we are seeing elsewhere) but with that it also seems like their portions are going down. For example, I ordered a milkshake on my most recent visit and it came in a tiny masonjar glass. It was maybe 8-10 oz of milkshake for nearly $9. I complelely understanding some of the changes they made such as taking your card at the start and automatically adding gratuity to the bill as I'm sure it was difficult for servers to always get tips, but to me this is a simple way to improve guest experience. We ordered a "cup of candy" again for nearly $9 it just didn't seem like our money was going very far. read more
