One time I even had an emergency, I woke up in the the middle of the night feeling like something was stuck in my eye and it would not stop watering. I came in, and the doctor rinsed my eye and helped remove whatever was causing the irritation. She couldn't see anything specific, but it was most likely lint from a blanket. I was really uncomfortable, and they took care of me right away. The staff was kind, patient, and attentive. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for good eye care, especially if you have Medi-Cal -- that's a huge perk.

The front office staff, Marci and Tiffany, were welcoming and transparent about pricing through my insurance. Emily, Lena, and Davina (Medical Staff) provided exceptional support, explaining everything in detail and easing my worries. I'm only 37 and I never thought I would have skin cancer, but they calmed me down. Dr. Hou and her team performed MOHS surgery right in the office just 10 days after my first visit, taking the minimum amount of skin as possible to successfully remove the cancer. They also took care of all the necessary forms and even provided letters to my employer, making the process seamless. When it comes to scary skin stuff, this is the only place I trust! I just can't see how someone can leave a bad review! I received a ton of skin care and sun care swag, and by my second appointment the whole team knew me by name and came in to check on me. BTW they call and confirm your appointment date and time at least twice leading up to any appointment so I don't see how anyone could miss/forget their appointment. Little divot in the ole ear but super blessed to have found these people! THANK YOU DR. HOU AND TEAM!

I do appreciate that he took the time to listen, and the conversation itself was positive. Shortly after, my prescription was finally processed, and I received it on 5/1/26. It was also refilled for future use, which I'm thankful for. However, it took nearly two months to straighten everything out before I was finally able to receive my prescription. However, the overall experience still leaves me genuinely concerned. It took me being unusually persistent and more forceful than I'm comfortable with just to get a response from the office, pharmacy, and insurance. That shouldn't be necessary for a patient trying to manage their healthcare. More importantly, this situation caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety and has negatively impacted my health. I already deal with high blood pressure, and this experience elevated it further, which is both troubling and unacceptable when seeking medical care. At this time, I'm giving a 3-star rating in recognition of the effort Dr. Tomasian made to personally address the situation. I may update this after future visits. I sincerely hope his office improves how they handle patient communication and follow-through so that no other patient has to go through a similar experience.

Dr. Dacanay was wonderful when I took my kids , she explained everything very efficient. She was very sweet and helpful but one of the receptionist came across as very rude , like she had better things to do. She didn't even bother checking if the glasses fit correctly. She should learn her ways with children and try to be polite. I would of given 5 stars but due to receptionist that is almost always there ruined my experience. read more

She was also a little "robotic" in that she wasn't very warm, and almost seemed rushed as well. Maybe it's because of the large number of clientele at this location. Anyway, when asking her questions, she answered them, but I can't say service was exceptional. She also came off a bit curt. I probably won't be going to this location again and will just use an independent optometrist that isn't tied to Costco. I went in the first time she checked my eyes and said I had one eye that was far sighted and one near sighted...hmmm but I said ok she's the doc. Well I couldn't see with both pairs of glasses she prescribed ok I come in and she checks my eyes again and changes the prescription and again I can't see. I see very blurry and I did let her know her response was you just need to get used to them. Well after several weeks of trying I decided to go see an ophthalmologist (eye specialist) he actually told me a had a cataract and thus is why I couldn't see. I'm not saying she isn't a good doc but I guess she needed to have dilated my eyes? What she told me when I called on the phone was that she had told me but she hadn't then she proceeded to say "everyone has cataract when they get older" and no need for surgery if vision is correctable with glasses. Which I proceeded to tell her it's NOT correctable I see as if I were looking out of clouds in my eyes! She did want me to come back so she could check my eyes again for the third time....but I did not, and she did say to get a second opinion about the cataract. But when I can't see out of my eye I think it's time for surgery. Long story longer...she did return some of the money I had paid for the glasses which were not cheap! I would recommend you get you eyes dilated instead of using that state of the art machine she has $50.00 extra bucks. She is very nice but just make sure if you feel something isn't right you do get a second opinion.
