I was there on Saturday noon to do my yearly checkup and pick a pair of glasses. Dr. Chang is very sweet explaining to me my eye problems. He's also giving me a lot of stuff to try. The front desk lady Diane is extremely helpful and patient when helping me pick up the right frame. I was worried about if she needs to get off, but she wants to make sure to help me find the perfect frame for my face shape. She gives me suggestion and recommendations of picking up the right frame for my face shape. Dianne is like a friend who cares about you. I never experience such hospitality from optometry office before. We have a great chat and Dianne also helps me work with my eye insurance to select the best option. I have been a long-time customer here however I'm not sure I will be coming back next time. I have great insurance and often come in for my eye exam, however they will never let me leave without purchasing or milking me for something. The prices on frames and glasses are double the price that they are online. I understand they need to make a living to stay open however I was recently not allowed to get my prescription until I paid for and picked up my contacts, even though I already paid for the exam, which was $70 out of pocket even with good insurance that usually covers this cost. If they did not haggle me so much I would have been fine however they do this time and time again and charge these weird costs on top. I don't mind giving and paying more for good service however that is not how you should treat your customers. read more

This place is absolute trash. Charge me a rush fee for lenses for what!? They still don't have my lenses 8 days later. I had to call 4 times for them to realize my lenses haven't even been ordered yet. Now they ask for some numbers on both sides of my inner glasses for them to START the order?! 8 days later? Are you kidding me? If they would've initially called me to explain the situation, fine. But after I call 4 times on 4 different days, now you FINALLY want to tell me something is up? I don't need your excuses. I just need to know when it will arrive at this point. Diane (the new employee apparently) doesn't understand that, and keeps telling me how someone quit and she just started and goes on and on. I DONT CARE! Stop beating around the bush and just be straight up. So many Optometrists out there now a days. I don't get how a small business like this survives with such crap service. FYI their YELP deal is a scam to get you in. Frames for the $99 deal is trash super easy to break plastic and lenses are for plastic lenses only which is useless for anyone who actually NEEDS glasses to see anything. I should've known it was fishing customer tactics. (If you know anything about true business you would know tricking customers with a price to good to be true than flipping it once they're in is a pretty Scumbag motto for a business). [You only find out that the glasses and lenses for the Yelp deal is utterly useless for you after the eye exam, which by then you're already in too deep to back out] Last FYI I ended up paying $120 for lenses only and they charged my insurance for exam. I previously bought Ray Ban frames here for $350 which is way overpriced as well. I guess I'm the dunce for going back. Don't be a dunce like me. Skip this place. Even a cash only Marijuana clinic probably has better service and less scam-like Yelp incentives. read more

For over 15 years, I had the same opmtometrist who I exclusively saw. Since moving away from home, it became difficult to see my childhood optometrist. When I found myself getting headaches due to blurry vision, I knew I couldnt wait and had to get new glasses as soon as possible: Thankfully, the folks at this office were able to help me out! :) The receptionist at the front desk helped me get squared away with all the paperwork, and the optometrist quickly got me in. She was so patient during the exam (I kept asking her to show me the options over and over again because I had trouble determining which clips were clearer). Once the exam was over, the sweet woman at the counter helped me pick new frames. I took forever to make a decision, but the visit was a success!! Fast and very efficient team working here. My nieces love Dr. Koh, she's so sweet, very approachable as well as engaging, and it's assuring she has pediatric experience to tame this jungle of girls. Today was my first visit here, and it certainly will not be the last! I am very pleased with the service I received from Dr. Koh and staff! The office is clean and well-organized. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was immediately helped as soon as they verified my insurance information. Dr. Koh is informative, friendly, and made my experience comfortable. After the eye exam, the staff explained what kind of lenses I would need and patiently helped me select eyeglasses frames. Had my first check up in a long time. There's not a bad thing I can say about it, everything was pretty great. Dr. Koh was very professional and she knew her field well. I told Dr. Koh that after long hours of working on my computer, my eyes had trouble focusing when reading. I said i came in to do an eye exam to see if that was normal or if something could be done. She gave me a prescription saying it will improve my eyesight for reading off my laptop and long distance vision. Well, that didn't quite happen. Close up, my vision is absolutely the same and long distance my left lens makes my vision blurry. I see the optometrist every year for the last 15 years and I have to say she is one of the best. I been a patient here for the last 3 years and I love Dr. Koh. She is super kind, sweet, and thorough with the exam. The glasses selection here is decent, and they carry both brand names and off brand depending on your budget. The parking lot is decent size, but there are a lot of restaurant in the same plaza making it difficult to find parking during rush hour. I stumbled upon Dr. Koh's office by a painful accident and I'm glad that I did, because I think I've just found my forever optometrist! I had scratched, okay, tore off a piece of my cornea (not fun!) and needed a Dr ASAP and found Dr. Koh's office thru trusty old Yelp. Her office was the only one that was opened bright and early and I took a chance walking in without an appointment. Dr. Koh and her staff (forgot her name) was very friendly and helpful, so helpful that she filled out my paperwork because I couldn't open my eyes! After the paperwork was done, I was seen by Dr. Koh and she gave me the good eye drops (anesthetic) that took the pain away almost immediately! After a thorough exam, she advised that I had a corneal abrasion, gave me some antibiotic drops, patched my eye with a bandage contact lens which I didn't even know existed, and I was on my way! The whole process was quick and my eye was better within 24 hours! And to top it off, she accepted my insurance, so I only had to pay the co-pay! Win-win! I will definitely be back, hopefully not for another corneal abrasion! read more

I came here for an eye exam and told them it felt like something was in my eye or bothering my eye after I take out my contacts. They looked and said it was nothing major and just to use a warm compress. I did that for months with little results. I went to Costco today for an eye exam 1.5 years later and told them the same thing about my eye feeling like something was bothering it. The optometrist actually flipped my eyelid to check it and said I had bumps on it most likely from an allergic reaction to the contacts I was wearing. It was a relief to finally to the cause and he prescribed me a different brand and I haven't had the issue yet. Also, when I was purchasing new glasses from here, it felt like they kept rushing me even though I was the only customer in the store. Prices were higher than other places too. read more

I first came here about 4 weeks ago to get fitted for contacts. I have very unique (aka: BAD) eyes with very high astigmatism, which are hard to fit for contacts. Dr. Koh has been working with me to find the right pair. When my first pair didn't work, she really made the effort to figure out what was wrong, trying different brands/types/prescriptions. I'm on my 3rd set now and I've noticed improvements in comfort/clarity each time. I was actually about ready to give up this last time around, but she suggested I try 1 more set and I'm glad I did because I can see MUCH better. In comparison, I've tried contacts years ago through a different optometrist who gave up on me the first try. She has 2 other employees and an intern, all of whom are friendly with a sense of humor. Facility is clean and professional. Appointments are easy to schedule. Prices are good. My eye check price was same as Costco, which was surprising since Costco is usually cheaper for everything. Contact prices seem good too. I had to get special customized lenses and they were only fractionally more than my sister's contacts, which are generic/normal prescription. I am fairly new to this area and needed a new prescription. The closest Costco optometry is closed for renovations so I checked out reviews and headed to this place. By far, this is one of the fastest, most professional eye places I have been. The exam was less than 30 minutes and my glasses were ready in 20 minutes. They have a special for exam and frames, my total was $159, not bad at all. The staff is really friendly and they took the time to really examine my eyes. I suffer from allergies and the doctor noticed how red they were. I walked out with new glasses and trial contacts. I will return in a week to see how well the contacts are fitting and will get my six month supply. I am very happy with this optometry and highly recommend it to anyone needing fast and friendly service. I know I will certainly return. read more

Have been here a couple of times. The people here are always smiling and welcoming. The owners are a husband and wife team and so you can feel that they put their pride into their practice. The first time I was here was about 2 years ago. I got my exam done. Picked out my frames. Went next door for some grub and their technician has my glasses ready in less than 40 mins. The next time I was here I splurged. I got matching eyeglasses and sunglasses. They had the Asian fit Gucci frames. Yea, I know, what a way to stereotype Asian facial features... Anyway, they have them and it took them less than a week to get the lenses done. The technician and assistant there were very helpful in helping me understand the differences in the lens options. Dr. Heejung Koh Optometry is pretty much a hidden gem here in Rowland Heights. A few days ago I walked in without an appointment and was greeted by the Doctor and her friendly staff. I didn't have to wait at all. As soon as they verified my insurance, I was being helped right away! It seems like the Doctor really knows what she's doing because she figured out my jacked-up eyesight in just a few minutes. Then we selected my frames (Oh boy, talk about having a selection too! So many brand name frames & styles to choose from!) Luckily I knew exactly what frames I was looking for and not only did they have them...but they had them in different colors too! I was so excited haha. Anyways, I walked out of there no more than 15 minutes later with a prescription, all my questions answered, and a receipt to pick up my frames a few short days later. Problem #1 - I forgot the ah-ja-shee's name who assisted me in getting my 2 pairs of glasses. Problem #2 - I forgot the lady who did my eye exam. I only knew Dr. Koh .... forgetful I was. GOOD: I liked the variety they had. It was pretty straight-forward with their service. No kiss-ups, no vulture treatment - very pleasant.. very honest and pretty quick service. Got same-day pickup on my 1st pair ... but my 2nd pair i had to revisit them days later because they had to order lens and frame. I've gone from rectangular glasses to square, round, clear, and now gold wire framed. I have gotten my contacts here and they help you choose whatever is most comfortable. The staff is always super helpful and friendly. I sat on my glasses where they were bent and crooked and they were able to fix them for me at no cost (nothing was cracked or super damaged).
