Buying my dress from Carine's was the WORST mistake of my entire wedding process. **Their communication is terrible.** I had to chase them down to find out where my dress was, and it turned out they had forgotten about it until I reached out. **They do not take responsibility for delays.** Even though they forgot to send my dress and caused the delay, they refused to overnight it unless I paid extra--despite the $600 I had already spent on shipping. **They left me scrambling last minute for alterations.** I received my dress only TWO WEEKS before my wedding, forcing me to pay double for rush alterations in California where I live. There's A LOT MORE I could say about other shady things they did to me beyond what I've listed above, but I'll refrain. Bottom line: Carine's turned what should have been a joyful experience into an expensive, high-stress nightmare.

Carine's Bridal is the epitome of a bespoke customer experience. At Carine's we felt celebrated, embraced, and unhurried. We were clearly in expert hands, yet it felt warm and family-like. Carine was in the store the day we first shopped and her relaxed, easy manner clearly sets the tone. We were lucky enough to have Grace as our guide. (I can't call her a salesperson-- it felt like we had an experienced guide.) She showed us gown after gown with no pressure whatsoever. None of the "let's put a veil on you!" No relentless questioning: "Is this the one?" I felt like we were in a special place, but after visiting other shops in DC, New York and Boca Raton, Florida, I am convinced. I can assure you --Carine's is different. It is bespoke-- the experience is personal and crafted for the bride. We were so at ease. So cared for. I cannot imagine how it could have been a more relaxing, informative, and joy-filled experience. Lastly, the atelier is absolutely gorgeous. Think French salon. I did the homework for you-- the finest, by far, is Carine's. (No I had never met her. No, I don't even live in D.C.)

It took me several visits to pick my dress, and I so appreciated the patience, encouragement, and responsiveness (via email and phone call) of everyone who works here. When I first started dress shopping, I honestly didn't really know what I wanted, so I scheduled an appointment to try on _everything_ that appealed (recommend going on a weekday to do this as it's less busy!). Emma was so, so patient with me, listening to what I liked and didn't, and making suggestions. I left that appointment with a much better sense of what I was going for, and really appreciated the follow up email with details about my top picks, sizing, and warnings about any styles that are back-ordered or low stock. I returned later with a much better sense of my taste and was able to narrow down to two dresses, but still wasn't ready to make a call. Then, went back *again* a few days later to try on my top pick again (with accessories!!) and say yes to the dress! Generally, their selection is great-- especially of Jenny Yoo dresses which I was most interested in. They also have many options that are lower prices than other high end boutiques in the area. Everyone that works here went above and beyond to make sure I had the best possible experience and was comfortable every step of the way. Highly recommend!

Sarah was our bridal stylist and she was absolutely amazing. She was so friendly and attentive, she really made me feel special and made sure to check in with me and figure out exactly what I liked and didn't. We tried in seven dresses total, and I ended up trying two again, all within the hour-long session. I honestly had no expectations coming in, I thought I'd try a few on and then come back for a second appointment. But I'm so excited to say I found the perfect dress for my elopement. The one I chose ended up around $1300, which was a great price for how gorgeous and well made the dress is. We bought before we left and it was back ordered, so I should get it in a few weeks! Thank you to Sarah and the entire Anthropologie team, it was such a fun, easy experience and all of the dresses are so gorgeous.

TLDR: the franchise owner for a while was not fulfilling orders and people were not getting their dresses - I was one of them. I ordered my dress in late summer 2025 and was scheduled for an April 3 estimated pick up date. The pick up date came and went with no meaningful communication from the store. I called probably about 10 times, and the store kept telling me that they would 'check on the shipping' and get back to me at best, at worst getting audibly annoyed that I kept calling. They never got back to me with an update on my dress. Finally I went into the store physically to check on my dress. Two days later they called and told me my order had never been placed. They ended up giving me a floor model of my dress, a discount, and paid for my alterations. I got my dress literally just in time for my wedding. Thank you to Lanie for making this right. It ultimately worked out. Hopefully the store can continue in the right direction and new management will run this place more honestly than the last franchise owner.

She carefully pinned and explained each adjustment during my fittings so I always understood what she was doing and why. When I put the dress on at my final fitting, it truly felt like it had been custom made just for me. The fit was absolutely flawless, and she created a beautiful 5-piece bustle that blended seamlessly with the design of the dress and was easy to manage. She was always patient and reassuring throughout the entire process. Knowing that my dress fits perfectly for my wedding day (next week) is such a wonderful feeling. I arrived a few minutes early. It's not a huge space but they made a pretty spacious dressing room. There are a full racks lining the walls and a few in the middle. They seem really well organized by size for easier browsing. The space is clean and neat. There was another bride trying on dresses but Missy said hi and introduced herself and asked for a moment as another bride finished up her appointment so I took a seat. The experience was great. I came by myself since my friends could not clear their schedules in time given my quick scheduling. The place is called Fairytale and it did feel like Missy could be a fairy godmother. She had referenced the images I shared for inspo and had found a couple dresses like them for me to try. She also noticed I wasn't feeling quite comfortable in how I looked and was so encouraging. She suggested a couple of other dresses that I ended up liking more than I expected. She was showing how certain other dresses or details can help me feel like the right things are accentuated. She also gave some really helpful tips including dress timeline, tailoring, and candid yet kind thoughts. I did not catch the name of the other staff who was helping her but she was also awesome. They both helped me in and out of dresses. The other person also helped take pictures for me to reference later and even came running out with my phone when I left without it and only realized when I got in my car. They were both great. I highly recommend this place. There were some really pretty dresses for nice prices. A bit lighter for my size range but still options. The experience was also quite nice. As a bride, you often have a lot on your mind and I felt so supported throughout this visit while feeling like they had my best interest in mind. I'll be back!

One of my bridesmaids/best friends was in town visiting for a few days and she suggested we go look at dresses while she was here. I found Elaya Vaughn Bridal on Yelp and my friend called right away. And JUST our luck there was an appointment cancellation and she could fit us in the very next day! I got an email confirmation letting me know what to expect, how many people to bring, and the price ranges and sizes of the gowns. The day of the appointment I took two friends and Kate warmly greeted us and kept the champagne flowing the entire appointment! This was by far one of the most fun experiences I've had trying on clothes! Kate asked me questions about my preferences and immediately went to work pulling options for me. I was very fortunate that every dress I tried on fit me pretty well, making it easier to envision what the final look would be. (I'm around a size 4-6 on top and closer to an 8-10 on the bottom, but all the gowns were easily slipped over my head and fell over my hips.) Kate was so helpful offering alternatives when I said which parts of gowns I did and didn't like on me. And suggesting different fabrics to lower cost and be more beach-friendly (my wedding is going to be on a beach). The entire showroom is in the basement of a row house and is beautifully decorated and had plenty of light coming in, which was great for photos. A day after the appointment Kate followed up by email with the details of the dress I liked the most and the design alternations we talked about, letting me know if I was interested to schedule a follow up appointment to get measurements.
