Went to this place as I was in town for the week and I had an awful experience. She was rough with my nails and not pleasant at all. And seemed very upset that I asked for a simple design. My nails were bumpy and within two days the design peeled off of two nails. I went back to get them fixed and the gentleman was very rude to me that I even asked to fix the nails. I paid good money for them to only last a few days. He was nice to the "regular" customers but not a new client. Never going back. read more

i've gone many times and the staff is very friendly. I haven't asked for very complicated nails, but they have all come out nice.

My friend and I had an appointment for pedicures at 2:30. We walked in and the staff did not acknowledge us. We finally got into the chairs around 3. The staff were seemingly agitated and did not have any customer service skills. The water was boiling hot and the staff did not start the service for another 10 minutes after we were seated. Staff did not follow specific directives regarding what we wanted or didn't want during our pedicure, and were not kind at all. The woman who did my pedicure cut my toenails to induce ingrowns and it is very painful. My other toenails are not consistently the same length or filed the same way. When we went up to pay, the staff were openly upset that we didn't come with cash payment. I continually asked how we were supposed to tip and the woman who did my nails kept saying "you paid with a card!!" Unsure when it became a rule that you couldn't tip on a credit card. This was nothing short of a $35 pedicure experience. Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

I have gone to get my nails done here a dozen different times and it is very hit and miss... They do pretty good on dip nails, but I went in today and did not have the greatest experience. I got a mani pedi with regular polish and it turned out terrible! First of all, my nails were cut and then 8 out of 10 of them were misshaped- literally noticeably longer on one side than the other. The polish was then gouped on and would not dry, even after a hour of sitting there! The lady told me it was because I got regular polish instead of shellack. Which is odd, because when I paint my own nails with regular polish it does not take them over a hour to dry... Plus, if you can not do something well, then don't offer the service and charge for it! On the up side, the staff are super friendly, but I will not be going back... read more

I walked in first time ever and waited to get my nails done for 2 mths due to quarantine and I made 3 appts for my bffs bday. They didn't tell us to pick a color or what to do. After 5 mins I said should I pick a color? They said yes. Than our appt was at 130 and they finally got me in at 215. The man was very fast and didn't offer me a thing. But asked the lady next to us if she wanted anything. Wine coke etc. since she was a regular. I said you have wine?? He said yes. I asked him for a glass for my friend and I. My other friend wasn't old enough to drink. After he got it he finished painting my nails and they were horrible! Bumpy. Not smooth. Shaped terrible. Than after he was done he trimmed my cuticles. This should have been done before! It looked like I had out growth for a week! I check out and pay for my friend and I and was 78! I was in shock and just wanted out! This was a pedicure and acrylic nails. I will never go back!!!!!! I highly DONT recommend! read more

Went to grace nails on a friends recommendation. I got a mani pedi and this was the first time I'd gotten my nails at all professionally. The salon is nice but the woman doing my nails was incredibly rude and didn't listen to what I wanted at all. I made an appointment to get them fixed (normally I'm not so picky but this was for the marine corps ball and I spent 80 getting acrylics on my fingers and my toenails painted so I wanted it done right). The second time I ended up with a nicer woman but she spent the entire appointment with the store phone clamped between her shoulder and ear talking to a family member. Went to Grace nails with my granddaughter. Mani-pedi. The person I had did an OK job however spent the entire appointment talking to other nail techs. The person my granddaughter had was less interested in giving good service. Her pedicure was sloppy and we paid for a flower that didn't look any thing like a flower. Her French shellac manicure was the worst I've ever seen. Crooked and uneven. Quite expensive for finished product. read more

Ok so earlier today me and my mom went to look if there were any nail places nearby (we've recently moved here to ankeny) and we heard Grace nails was the place to go. I'm gonna be straight forward with everyone out there that is considering going there... WORST SERVICE EVER. We walked in and it was packed but my mom asked if they were going to have time to give us pedicures and the lady was like " oh ok let me check" she walks back doesn't check anything and goes and does someone else's nails. The lady next to us saw this and reminded her of us she goes " oh just a FEW minutes" a HALF AN HOUR GOES BY... and a dude walks up to us and says he was going to clean out a chair and then he'd do our nails we sit down and he goes and does someone else's nails! I have been coming here for years because everyone is very nice, unfortunetly the last time I went it was busier than normal so I think they hired other people to help. I got a full set, done by an older asian lady who asked me if I wanted acrylic or solar. I told her loud & clear I wanted acrylic, she kept asking me the same question and I told her acrylic. I could barely hear or understand her and when it was all done, she had done solar nails and tried to charge me for it! Such a scam.
