After a city worker in a city utlity truck negligently drove onto our private property and over the water main box (twice actually so it really was just reckless) he ended up severing the PVC connection from our house to the main line. The city put it on us to get that fixed (!!!) so I came to yelp and found Teles Services with glowing reviews. I called and Aresenio was out, same day within 45 min and began work to connect the water back. We had water within a few hours (even sooner) and I was pleasantly suprised how quick he had it finished. After a headache of a day, it was refreshing to have a competent person to deal with who was also genuinely sincere. "It's the summer in Florida and I have no access to running water in my house" I decried. As my family entered day 2 of waiting for an authorization approval I sought out real help. A professional that cared to have the staff and expertise available and willingness to offer emergency support services. Jeff's KB&B Plumbing was both the answer and the solution. They answered my after hours call on a Saturday morning. They had a courteous and professional team available to dispatch and diagnose the issues. Thereafter they solved the issue with informative diligence. Every step along the way I was updated. Moreover the fair and reasonable price I was quoted remained the same throughout the process. The plumber replaced the valve and performed by far the neatest work I've ever seen. DO NOT use Jeff's KB&B Plumbing…read more We had them come yesterday to install a bidet and while they were here I had them check out another toilet I heard was occasionally running longer than it should be. They told me they "didn't work on toilets like mine and I should just replace it." After they left, we had a mysterious flood coming from a broken valve at the toilet and we ended up with water all over our bathroom and into the next room. We called the emergency line 3 times and while the answering service answered, no one called us back. They denied any involvement in damaging the valve, refuse to fix it, and are saying they didn't do it and it was a coincidence that it happened to break after they were at the house. The only solution temporarily is to shut the water line to the entire house. We, therefore, cannot use water, have water under our wood floors, and wet drywall as well. We have used them for various projects over the last 13 years, referred many friends to them, and now we are left with a broken toilet, no water to the entire house (main water line needed to be shut off to stop the flow of water), and a small flood. Come to find out after the fact, 3 others that I know have also had bad experiences with them. After they refused the fix the problem, we had another company come out to fix their mess and, without hesitation, was able to fix the flapper without any issue as well as repair the broken valve. I was given a window for the service. I had also called several businesses to compare pricing. One was booked and it would have conflicted with my schedule. Another never answered. Another was over double the price. With another, the price STARTED at 3x the price and the guy said it would likely be 5x the price just to START. I was very pleased that I had called Drain Tactics. I was given a window for the techs to show up. John and Jay showed up early in the time frame that was given. Both are extremely friendly, polite and very professional. After some thorough investigation, the drain from the toilet to the main drain was clean. It was determined the culprit was something was stuck in the toilet. We had family visiting over the weekend and likely dropped something in the toilet. After a short time and the proper equipment, the toilet was cleared. John and Jay went out of their way to ensure ZERO damage occurred to ANY of our property. They checked other items to ensure there were no additional issues. His repair was prompt and exceeded what I though would be acceptable if I had tried it myself. As we spoke while he was working, he mentioned that the existing plumbing was outdated and no longer per code. Any future leak might have problems with insurance coverage. I asked if his business included replumbing homes - yes it did. He performed a through walkdown and gave me an estimate which included bringing the home up to code plus the services of a team which would repair all drywall openings PLUS texturing. The repainting of the wall was on me (common sense). His offer was fair to me, we scheduled the work for about two weeks out and the replumbing (thru the attic) was completed in one day. The drywall repair and texturing followed the next day. He walked down the entire home with me afterwards. After repainting the rooms affected, I am unable to tell where the openings were made to bring the new plumbing down between the walls. I am very pleased with the work performed. Note: at the same time I was negotiating a new homeowners insurance policy and the first question asked was if the house had been replumbed due to its age. Big peace of mind!!!
