I returned to San Diego after a few years living out of state, so excited to come back to my beloved Grace Threading! The experience was no longer what it used to be. I was looking forward to the kindness that used to be shown there, but I was met with shortness when I came in. I was a walk-in, but there was no one in line- so I didn't understand why the woman was so rude with me. She was snappy with me the entire time, and would jerk my head while doing my brows. I felt she was VERY rough with me and it rubbed me the wrong way- bummer because my eyebrows look great! I will not name her on this review because maybe she was having a bad day, but that should never be taken out on a customer. I will try Grace again as I have been here 10+ times with a phenomenal experience each time, but I hope my next visit will change my review back to 5 stars. I went to get my eyebrows threaded yesterday. I've been a patron of this location for over 6 years. I still have the punch cards that they no longer use. I was greeted upon entering by one of the ladies. Neither had threaded my eyebrows before. There were customers in both chairs and another waiting. The Threader who greeted me took the lady waiting and the other Threader yelled across the room asking if I had an appointment. I told her I didn't and she asked my phone number. She said she would take me. She didn't say "hello", but I spoke to her. Since she didn't know me, I told her what eyebrow type I wanted according to the wall poster. Keep in mind, I've been getting this style for years. She told me that she probably wouldn't be able to do either type, I liked 2 styles, because my eyebrows were "MESSED UP"! She spoke sort of fast so I asked her 3 times did she say "missing" or "messed up" because surely she wouldn't tell a customer that her eyebrows are messed up! She finally said "messed up". I was so taken aback that I was speechless. I then told her that that was why I was there. She told me she would "clean the up" and then see if I could get the style I requested. Her "cleaning up" ended up taking off my eyebrows from the top instead of the bottom of an eyebrow to create the arch. I was told by a Threader many years ago that the top should never be taken off. Also after I paid, I selected my receipt be printed. I asked for it and she said she's text it and she didn't say thank you. When the previous customer asked about the machine, the other Threader told her they were getting a new one. I wasn't old this. Also, a few months ago, I took a friend who had never been to there before. When we came through the door, one of the Threaders spoke, but she stared at us a few minutes and then spoke. I thought it strange because when she spoke to others that came in after me, she didn't hesitate. I'm very disappointed and upset that she messed my eyebrows up and I will never go back to this location or any Grace Threading!! read more

My brows were getting a little furry so I decided to go to Grace Threading. I used to go to Grace Threading all the time until they raised the prices but I was in desperate need of a trim and did not want to drive too far from home with all the rain. When I arrived, there was no one in the salon except for the two threaders. I choose Sonia on the menu and she did an excellent job. Her skills were quick and relatively pain-free. Today my usual eyebrow place was closed so I decided to go here. The lady who did my eyebrows completely ruined my eyebrows. I asked for just a clean up (no shaping) and she completely threaded a chunk of my eyebrow off right in the middle. I don't even know you could mess up so bad. She also went crazy with the scissors and made my eyebrow hairs very short and choppy. I'm so so upset. I walked in on a Tuesday and was serviced immediately. I have naturally thin eyebrows, so I am always hesitant about trying a new threader. Sometimes, they end up making the brows thinner than I would like and I walk away unhappy. However, I had a very pleasant experience. The woman doing my brows (unfortunately cannot remember her name but it started with an S) was so sweet and accommodating. She cleaned up my brows as requested, but still kept the thickness of them. Overall, it took about 10 minutes and I was in and out. The brow threading was only $15, which is very standard. I was very happy with my experience and I will be back. Lilly does an excellent job on my eyelash extensions. She's very professional. She's been doing eyelashes for so long that she is quick and accurate. She uses the best quality glue that is soft and comfortable. My Lashes last up to 3 weeks, sometimes 4 weeks if I'm careful. On top of all that, she is friendly and very personable. I prefer threading over waxing, and out of all the years I've gotten my eyebrows threaded, today was the first time that it didn't hurt.
