First, let me start out by saying if zero stars was an option, I would give this company a" 0 ," for the lady who answered the phone. I had called Grace Tree Company, LLC because of the high reviews and as a business we are looking to have a company we can use to service our properties when we have issues with tree and tree branches collapsing onto our units. Today ( 6/26/20 between 1:30-2pm), a women answered the phone with an attitude and proceeded to mock/repeat my question in a sarcastic tone. That alone gave me all the information I needed to know about the company and that this was not the company we wanted to do business with. I was not shy to say " With how you are talking on the phone, we do not want to do business with you then ended the call." The person answering incoming calls has a huge responsibility and can make or break a companies reputation. Overall very disappointment and will not recommend other businesses to use this company as that alone left a soar taste in my mouth. Do better. read more

I contacted Grace tree company, based on the numerous positive reviews I read on Yelp. In my efforts to locate a reputable and licensed tree cutting service. My Grandmother required 2 front trees trimmed down and a rear yard tree cut off from her property line (neighbor tree). When I scheduled an estimate, Robb was very informative and arrived on time. Despite my late arrival, Robb waited and was very understanding. So 2 months later, I finally scheduled an appointment. He checked in with us periodically during the job to make sure we were satisfied with the work. He handled the job gracefully, even with the unwanted disruptions from the (special) neighbor whom owned the rear tree. My Grandmother and I were very pleased with Robb and his guys. Met all expectations! In his voice message, he clearly states that Grace Tree Company is booking two months out. I can see why they are so busy. Rob is a total straight-shooter who arrives when he says he will, does the work according to his proposal and charges a very fair price. I'm so happy we found Grace Tree company! I had been having a hard time finding someone to trim the tree in front of our home. Robb, Martin, and the crew - I cannot thank you enough for a job well done! I used Grade Tree Co. to remove two Mulberry trees in my small (10x14), Philadelphia backyard that were preventing me from growing anything else and preventing me from using my outdoor space after they dropped their berries. I requested a quote through Yelp and Robb responded within hours to set up an appointment to come take a look at the trees and give me a detailed quote. Robb met me at my house less than a week later - I had asked for him to come out at 5PM so I could leave work 30 minutes early and be there. He arrived at 4:58PM, which was perfect. I walked him through the house to the backyard and showed him the trees. Since they were growing right on the fence line (one was growing through the fence) he asked me about who owned the fence (I did) and whether or not they would be able to gain access to the neighbors' backyards to remove any debris that may end up there during the removals. After about ten minutes of looking and discussing, he told me he would have a quote to me the next day. The next day, at 10AM I had a quote in hand. Based on my research into how much the removal of two trees of that size, his quote seemed very reasonable. We set an appointment for less than two weeks out (the removal was in mid-February). Robb was very responsive to all of my questions throughout the process - responding within hours if not minutes. The day before the crew was to come out, there was a snowstorm. I emailed Robb asking if we should reschedule since I didn't think that they would be able to find space on the block to park the truck (people tend not to move their cars the day after a snowstorm) but he assured me that the crew would be there and would get the work done - they had actually worked during the snowstorm. The crew arrived the next day at 8:30AM to complete the removals. Martin was the lead climbed the tree to actually do the removal. The entire process took less than two hours and they did a great job cleaning up. I would recommend to anyone who needs to have trees removed or pruned in the city to get in contact with Robb at Grace Tree Co. Five stars not for what Robb Grace did, but for what he did NOT do: I have a tree in my backyard that, while beautiful, drops a rather nasty nut/fruit combo that stains my deck, attracts ants, etc. I had the tree pruned last year and several suckers grew out during the season. I called Grace Tree Company to trim the suckers, afraid that they would produce significant amounts of this nuisance fruit. Robb came out within days and was straightforward: the suckers would not produce fruit for another 3-4 years, and thus no work needed to be done. Robb could have easily recommended work on the tree, and I happily would have paid him. In fact, he could likely have gotten this same work every year, as I am not familiar with this tree and have no idea how long it takes fruit to develop (all I know is that it is a mess when it falls). Instead, he recommended no work - just keep an eye on the tree, and stay in touch. Which I most definitely will do!! read more

I have received quotes from and gotten work done by a few different tree services and Grace Tree is by far the most positive experience. I found them on yelp and they will now be my go to people for pruning, tree removal, and other tree needs. The price is fair, they are easy to communicate with, Robb seems to know what he is doing, and he is not daunted by dealing with city situations as is the case with so many suburban based tree services. Grace tree was my 3rd estimate. They were the lowest and most professional to respond. I could not be home to meet in person but Robb immediately sent an email estimate to me. Once I accepted the estimate he was quick to give me a date during a week that worked best for me and when I asked for copies of insurance documents he had them sent via email. On the day Robb came to remove my enormous elm tree it was 93 degrees and high humidity. He was also short 2 workers (which I didn't know until the end) yet they both worked non-stop for 8 1/2 hours.
