I rarely write reviews on yelp, but I'm going to give a 5 start review for this particular hair salon that I just discover one month ago. Since my first visit, I have fell in love with this hair salon, especially the cozy ambience and the super friendly hair stylist there. For years, I couldn't find a good hair salon in New York that meets my qualification, but after coming here, I have been more satisfied with their professionalism than elsewhere. My friend recommended this place to me So I went there with her. I went the week before to show the stylist what I wanted. I already had blonde balayage done and I just wanted to touch up and lighten up a little bit. The stylist said he can do it. I went there yesterday at 12 pm and he started to immediately bleach my Entire hair down to my roots. I quickly Realized that's not how you do balayage and he told me He's doing it a different way. It was already too late as he already put bleach everywhere! He did highlights instead of balayage. And the color is very yellow and grey. It was nothing like what I wanted. Today is my holiday and I'm very upset I look like an old lady with this hair I'm staying home. I was charged $280 and I also tipped a good amount. I was done at 6 pm. It's not fair I paid so much money and spent my Time there and did not get the results I wanted. Also my hair was bleached so much that it's so damaged. I had balayage done 4 times before. Small business salon that delivers big results. I'm really happy with the results from what started as a haircut and turned into a reasonably priced hair dye project. Eden helped me design a look that was unique but not over the top. I told him I also work so we put purple undertones in my hair that were easily tied up and hidden in a bun. But if I put my hair down, the purple brings body, color and warmth into my otherwise straight and dark hair. Eden's very friendly and we had a great conversation while he was cutting my hair. He also checked in frequently on the process of bleaching and dying my hair, made adjustments, and bounced around different customers to make sure they all got a great level of service. I got a hair repair treatment because I have bleach damage and they were super friendly and professional. Didn't have to wait long at all. The treatment was somewhat long but they gave me snacks and water and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Would totally recommend. read more

Lack of time management. Even though appt is required, customers will be left sitting in the chair unattended for a long time, and some walk-in will be accepted. There seems to be only two guys doing the hair and one lady as the assistant for washing and applying chemicals. Cashier/front desk is not always there, so one out of these three will need to answer phone calls, handle payment and appt from time to time. Sunday is even worse because one of the guy won't come until late afternoon because he attends church. Price is high, even after the whatever discount they said would apply. Accepts cash or credit card, but pays higher with credit card for tax. No opinion given by the guy and he just went straight starting the work. The place looks nice but the overall experience made me feel like money is all that they care. Btw, the final result did not come out well either which made me feel even more disappointed. read more

I don't go to hair salon very often, but one of my best friends recommended me this salon and I decided to give it a try. First of all, this place is brand new and spacious. When you see place like this, you will like staying here, even though you may need spend a couple of hours here. Second, the staff here is very hospitable, they asked me if I need any snack or soda. You can easily see a small tea table next to the sitting couch that fills with a lot of snacks and sodas. And they offer free WiFi too, my boys definitely like staying here while I'm doing my hair salon :-) Last but not least, I like my hair stylist and his name is Ken. He has been doing this more than 10 years and he is professional. One more important thing to mention, the product they use is very good, like shampoo and hair dye. They also have some promotions going on. Overall, everything is good, just a little bit pricey but definitely worth it and you pay what you get. I will definitely come back. read more

Finally came back on Wednesday to fix my hair and we have discussed what its gonna be as i told him leave these part as highlight and make darker the rest so u can see the highlight and he said ok as he said the measurements is one finger highlight and one finger darker and i said that what i want .. with the process like 3 hours and when i see the out come huh another disappointed as now my hair almost dark and i can even tell where the highlight ! We spend almost $700 for me and my daughter and this is what we got! Never come back to this salon as i don't think they know what they're doing in terms of coloring ! read more

Eden has been my hairdresser for the last decade and most recently joined the team at Graceful Hair Salon. I've been with him through 3 different hair salons in Flushing. He is fantastic with bangs and he makes sure the final hairstyle looks and feels light. I've made the mistake of going to my friend's hairdressers in Chinatown and Flushing and none of them have the same finesse as Eden. I recently introduced my sister to him and she loved her first haircut. I now live in California, but I still book hair appointments with Eden when I come back to Flushing (to visit my parents). The third time I went with my friend and they fucked up .... especially the one who dry my hair, i think he doesnt know how to use the hair dryer, it just keep knocking my head..
