Just stopped by to check it out. It was a small business but nice. Had mainly clothes like all other thrift stores.

Extremely overpriced in a very low income area. If I could give this place one star, I would. The…read morepricing here has gotten completely out of hand. For example, they had a used Victoria's Secret bra priced at $27. A few weeks ago I saw a broken vintage cherub pottery piece marked $30. I went back today (March 7), and even broken they still wanted $7 for it. Who is paying that? Stained polos were priced $7-$16, and Under Armour was marked so high you could practically buy it new at Dick's. Retail stores run sales all the time -- this is supposed to be a thrift store. For people on a budget trying to buy affordable clothes, this place is not it anymore. And from a reseller standpoint the pricing makes no sense either. It feels like they are just running everything through Google Lens and pricing it close to online prices. But resellers still have to pay platform fees, shipping costs, cleaning, and time. Nobody buying inventory is paying near retail prices. Honestly, I can't imagine how much more money this place would make if the prices were just reasonable. And another thing -- this store isn't even a charity. If you're donating items, consider giving them to a local church, animal shelter, or food bank where it will actually help people in the community.

I finally made it down there a few days ago... Wow! If you know where the historic Bright Star restaurant is, you can find this place. It is right across the street. Parking is free and convenient. It's only 20 minutes south of Malfunction Junction, but a world apart from typical Birmingham shopping. When you enter the store, all you have to do is take a look around, and you know that this is something special. The variety of sneakers that they have cover all genres and tastes. You'll find everything from vintage Jordans to brand new Yeezys. With their business model, the store's inventory is constantly changing. After the sneakers, venture over to the clothing side to find some truly epic vintage t-shirts and outerwear. I purchased a bag full of t-shirts for what I would have paid for one of them on eBay. If you are in to retro, vintage, or classic wear, put a trip to Memory Lane on your to-do list. You will not be disappointed.

I'm not cheap when it comes to quality but when you have no customer assistance and the lack of effort with sales. While you came for something there in specific cash in hand. I totally backed out on my sale when I got the "ready to get off work attitude". I appreciate the small town availability for sneakers fans but have a little more enthusiasm if your about to sell a 1500$ pair of shoes...

Horrible experience with one of the employees. Every detail here is about the same employee…read more I listened to her berate a family with small kids for a full 15-20 minutes immediately when I arrived. She was coercing one of the family members to translate her rant from English into Spanish, and lecturing the adults present on not letting their children look around the store away from them. The store's patrons then had to hear her gossip about it for an additional 30 minutes, complaining to other customers and saying she wasn't racist. During the discussion with the family, she said the kids might break something, and the mother tried to assure her that if they did, she'd pay for it, not to justify them breaking something, but just as a way to try to reclaim some accountability the employee was insinuating she refused to maintain. The employee also gossiped about this to customers, insinuating the woman brought this up as a way to be flippant and "do it her way." I dared to put my clothes in a dressing room *without her permission* and was also lectured, and as a result got understanding looks from the other customers and accidentally snorted. After I changed, I again heard her gossiping, this time about me, and heard her remark that she "knew what [I] was trying to do" and that I "should be wrapping up soon so all of the negative energy should be out of the store." Whenever I went to check out, I asked if they had a student discount- they do- and she specifically cited needing a valid ID "since people try to get away with this stuff" (a 10% discount). I showed her my university ID, issued in August of 2021, which she then refused to take, citing a lack of date on the ID (my university does not issue new IDs every year). I asked if I could show her my enrollment in the past or upcoming semester, or my university email, and she refused. When I questioned this, she stormed off to the back without responding and a manager came to the front to complete my transaction. As I left, the back door was open, and I, for the second time in under 20 minutes, heard her gossiping about me, complaining about my insistence that I was a current student and an earlier attempt to buy a shirt whose tag had gotten caught in my hair and subsequently torn slightly. Store's prices are fine, slightly high. Better discounts and customer service can be found at the other location in Chattanooga and the Soddy Daisy location.

The clothes were well organized and the staff was friendly. It had a boutique feel despite it being…read morea thrift store.
