We recently signed my 4 1/2 year old up at Gracie Barra Fullerton and have had such an amazing experience so far. He is a very high energy and strong willed boy and we have so far had a hard time finding a sport/activity that was right with him. He always loves to wrestle so we thought we'd try jiujitsu and he loves it! I really appreciated that we were able to do a trial class. The owner, Justin, was so helpful and prompt in communication. I love being able to get information through personable texting. He was very thorough, informative and helpful. There are a couple options for the younger kids and I must say that their classes are very well ran. For the most part the kids are very disciplined and there is plenty of help with the extra coaches. They've clearly got jiujitsu for little ones down to a science. We were at a different location prior to coming to GB in Fullerton. This location has structure and actually teaches the students Jujitsu. The instructors have been amazing at navigating how my son feels about this location being a bit harder in the sense where there is actual structure and it is not all games. Professor Justin even went out of his way to pull my son aside to remind him how it isn't always going to be easy and how he should continue trying. I've been at Grace Barra Fullerton for about 1.5 months now. I signed up myself, my five year old son, and my five year old niece. I have to say it has been an awesome experience so far! All of us felt very welcomed by the coaches and Professor Justin. They are super patient and helpful in teaching us JiuJitsu. For the Kids, the coach to child ratio here is about 1:4 (1 coach to four kids) which I've noticed at other gyms, can be 1 coach to 8 kids.
