    Calabrese
    Alison K.

Called ahead to order some sandwiches. Wanted to try the Calabrese and Mortadella Melt - they were out of mort that day, so they subbed with prosciutto. The sesame roll they are using is really good - sandwiches were toasted and warm. The sandwiches overall were a little small, priced between 9 and 12 dollars, but you can tell they're using quality products. Would have preferred mortadella because the prosciutto made it a little too salty when combined with the mustard. The Calabrese is an office favorite and the pesto is a nice compliment to the meats. The store is a bit large for their operation, so there's a lot of empty space with some seating. They have some gourmet products for sale, including fun chip flavors, specialty drinks, sfoglini pasta, and other pantry items. Pantry items shown on their website do not match what is in the store, however. Preparing the sandwiches is a little on the slow side, and we had to wait a little bit, even calling ahead. They did throw in complimentary croissants (delicious, flaky), which was nice and unexpected. I'm curious to try bagels and other sandwiches.

Muffuletta with tater tots and Onion Smashburger with fries

Another great experience at Gracie Market! Tried the Muffuletta this time and it was good. Salty from cured meats and olive salad like a good muffuletta should be. My husband had an onion smashburger and enjoyed that as well. Had cappuccinos for dessert and it was well made, and with oat milk to my liking. The owner Isaac mentioned they're doing a little updating to ramp up for the busy spring season. We've been stopping by every visit to West Point and are never disappointed!

Highly recommend!!! Great service! The smash burgers here are fantastic.....rates up there with any smash burger I've ever had. The sandwiches are a work of art (really good). Highly recommend the iced coffee drinks according to my 19 year old daughter who considers herself quite the iced coffee aficionado. The place is super clean, but it feels a little sparse in the seating area and the A/C was struggling to keep up on such a warm day.

Burgers were good. Tator tots were a little dry. A little disappointed about the small portion sizes compared to the prices.

We had a party of 10, and thankfully they were able to accommodate us in the very back of the restaurant, which ended up being a great spot for our group. Service was a bit on the slower side, and we would have appreciated a few more check-ins throughout the meal. Nothing terrible, but noticeable--especially with a larger group. If you're gluten-free, just know the options are somewhat limited. That said, I was able to customize the breakfast burrito into a bowl to skip the tortilla, which worked out well and was still satisfying. The table shared the pancakes with cinnamon butter, which were a big hit. The breakfast burrito was also really popular, and a few people ordered the quiche special, which got great feedback as well. One downside is the bathroom situation--there's only one unisex restroom for the entire restaurant, so there was pretty much a line the whole time. Parking is metered street parking with a 4-hour limit, which is manageable but something to keep in mind if you're planning a longer visit. On the plus side, being seated in the back made it quiet enough for us to actually enjoy conversation, which isn't always the case at brunch spots. While the pricing felt a bit high for the overall value, the food and atmosphere made it a worthwhile experience. It's a bit of a drive for me, so not somewhere I'd visit regularly, but it's located in a really cute town with plenty of shops to explore--nice if you want to make a day out of it. Overall, a charming spot with good food and a cozy vibe. I'd come back, just hoping for a bit more attentive service next time.

The sandwich had raw onions which did nothing for the taste, it would have been better if it was caramelized. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes and it was so dense. I've had lemon ricotta pancakes and they are fluffy and smooth but this was neither. My friend and I were sitting outside and we finished paying and decided to go inside to use the bathroom. The hostess and her kid see us going inside and tell us no, stop, where are you going? I told her we are going to use the bathroom. We were eating outside. The hostess did not apologize for her rudeness and just said okay. The place is small, and the hostess herself literally brought us to our table and she didn't remember. The food was mid and the hostess needs better customer service skills. Plus the outdoor seating could be better, the table was wobbly and the table was iron mesh so you could see that they don't clean because you could see cobwebs through it.

Grabbed a cheese slice and a pepperoni roll with a side of marinara sauce. Both were solid, the slices undercarriage was cooked perfectly, the amount of cheese could be better but the slice was solid. It can hang with most places downstate in NYC and LI. The pepperoni roll was good, only negative was the amount of garlic used. I will be repelling all the vampires in the area from West Point, no getting bit tonight. The side of sauce was ok, just a plain marinara sauce not much seasoning added. Overall a solid experience and would definitely visit again. Just next time might avoid the rolls due to the garlic. I like garlic but this was just too much. The ambiance was fine, easy listening music in the background and the tables were fine.

Yes Yes Yes Yes…read more This place is in fact not overhyped. As an avid matcha enthusiast, I have to say, I'm shocked yet so satisfied. I'm usually disappointed by more matcha or coffee shops than usual however State Thomas has proved me wrong. First off this place is so simple, chic and aesthetic. I love the long tables that allow for bigger groups and just a collaborative family like setting. On both sides of the windows, there's also seating available too which is appreciated. The cute notepad wall filled with positive affirmations and sayings are such a sweet touch especially during the holiday season. The fact that you are able to choose your sweetness is one of the most simplest yet thoughtful things shops that sell matcha can do. It''s really customer centric which I appreciate. I ordered the matcha thomas with oat milk and 100% sweetness. The drink had the perfect color, has notes of coconut and vanilla and although it was 100% sweetness it was still subtle. There has to be some type of coconut cream or milk given the flavor and texture and its sooo yummy and refreshing.
