Kristin never made me feel "less than" but every now and again we would have a good laugh over a giant root spot in the back I always seemed to miss coloring. Eventually I decided to let the expert take over my color and boy am I so glad I did! Kristin, due in part to her passionate desire to pursue the best product and education, has managed to achieve a color for me, that I have been dreaming of for years. My former salon and the box color just couldn't do it but Kristin sure did! I get stopped by strangers all the time in drive throughs, parking lot shout outs, by store clerks and customers. The Salon at Bombshell Beauty has a sister storefront where they do lashes, brows, etc., which came highly recommended so I figured I'd give the salon a shot. I will be back. Sandra talked with me about the pros and cons of bang with my type and style of hair and lifestyle. She showed me how much she planned to trim off and asked about the existing layers, etc. It was an actual consultation. The haircut is great, damaged ends cut off, and an easy style (as in I can wash and let air dry) because I teach yoga so my hair is in a low ponytail most of the time. Sandra didn't push product or treatments, which I find a plus. The storefront has some cute clothes and accessories so I almost walked out with another dress I do not need but resisted. I rearranged my entire day, moved other appointments, and adjusted my work schedule specifically for this appointment. The salon called only one hour before my appointment to tell me that Melanie Saldivar would not be available because she was running behind with another client. This was especially frustrating because the salon had called the previous day to confirm my appointment, and I had clearly confirmed that I would be there. After I explained that I had already reorganized my schedule, they offered me a 2:00 PM appointment instead. I arrived a few minutes early and then waited for nearly 30 minutes. I had even skipped lunch to make it there on time. At that point, I decided to leave because there was no clear communication about when I would actually be seen. What disappointed me even more was that after I left, no one called, texted, or checked in to see what happened. As I am writing this review at 3:00 PM, I still have not received any apology, update, or follow-up from the salon. This entire experience showed a complete lack of respect for a customer's time. I planned my day around this appointment, only to deal with a last-minute change, a long wait, and no communication afterward. Professionalism and customer service were completely lacking. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this salon to anyone who values their time and expects appointments to be honored and customers to be treated with basic courtesy and respect.
