It's right at the entrance to the main square, which is filled with many similar touristy type places. My Wife loves browsing these stores, myself not so much. However this one was a cut above a lot of the others I've seen. In addition to the usual knick-knacks a place like this carries, they had some really nice looking items as well. Another thing struck me too, the nice, bright and airy feel to the place. It was really a very cheerful place and I spent a lot more time than I usually do in a place like this. And finally the beautiful red head who helped me. Although the store was pretty busy on a bustling Saturday afternoon, she took extra time to show me some cute things that she thought I'd like. Friendly staff, this place has a little bit of everything. Boutique baby items, funny cards, lotions and sprays, high end PJ's, dresses/tops (Johnny Was), toy section for that last minute bday gift (Legos, books, other toys) and you don't want to go all the way into Bee Cave or Austin to get it. They also have a whole area in the back if you are in the need of reupholstering your house goods with many different fabrics and textures. We came during Christmas break so they had a seasonal section in the front of the store that was on sale post xmas. Plenty of parking, easy in/out as its right off 290. The inside is packed with things so much so that it made it hard to move around if other people were there and you would keep running into people who would block the aisles. No one was there to accept them. The dock area was a complete disaster area, strewn with dumped stuff & downed signs. You couldn't even get to the door at the top of the ramp. A woman inside finally came out & mumbled something about everyone going on break at the same time before she helped take the boxes. I thought this might just be a one time issue with the dock. However, I was by there again a couple of days later & the dock was still an accident waiting to happen. It's an admirable concept but too bad it's not better managed. My husband and I ended up chatting with Danny, who runs the shop, and we could have stayed there talking for hours. He was so welcoming and had so many great stories about the local area, the growth around Buda, and of course all the amazing nostalgia pieces packed inside the store. The shop itself is awesome. You can tell Danny and his wife (who we didn't get the pleasure of meeting) puts a lot of heart and care into curating everything. It's the kind of place where you find little treasures tucked into every corner. From vintage shirts to classic antiques, everything has a story behind it. We honestly went in because of a t-shirt, but left feeling like we got a little glimpse into Buda's past too. Definitely a must-stop if you're in the area. I don't recommend this store after seeing how this owner was treating my kids. I would like to let people know how we were treated in the store. We were visiting the store for the very first time. My kids were very excited to shop around for toys. My little one dropped one toy to the floor, then the owner yelled to both of them. Ordered them to put down all the toys and not touching anything any more. After that, my kids were getting terrified literally and refused to enter any store on that street. We have never been treated this way before. How you are treating customers is also the way you treat other people. Be careful of this store if you are considering about it. Google review is not true. Hope our experience can give people some suggestions.
